Afternoon. Lovely sunny day but very windy. Yes, we could do with some rain. It seems that March winds and April showers have changed places.

Naughty kittens getting into awkward spaces. We lost Misty the morning after she came to us. She had got through a tiny space behind my desk and we only found her when we heard a very quiet meow and DH shone a torch in. We thought we’d have to demolish the furniture to get her out, but she managed to turn round and extract herself.

I’ll have a look for that bird programme to add to the list.

It’s nice to have the sunshine but we also have the wind too. Go away wind!

The new roadworks didn’t half cause chaos this morning but woohoo they were gone by home time.

I really need an early night but even more I need to actually sleep through.

Evening all. Sunny but, as per above, cold wind. Kittens have been kittening and are sleeping it off. IdiotKitty has been less of an idiot this evening compared to yesterday. I live in hope (and keep spraying the 'chillout' spray about).

Also, dear God, DS just tapped on the sitting room window to get my attention - I had no idea he was outside - it's like a horror film re-enactment! Or Wuthering Heights - "...let me in at your windoooowwww!" (He just wanted his phone to be passed out to him.)

Big roadworks have another month (at least) to go including a complete road closure. I’m off for one of those weeks though and there’ll be half term which should make things easier. Look at me, trying to see the positives.

I seem to have the start of a cold just in time for the bank holiday weekend. I shall throw paracetamol at it and hope for the best.

Morning all. I'd forgotten about the bank holiday weekend, and had thought I might take Friday off... except it's this Friday and my diary is blocked out, so that's the end of that idea. <le sigh>

That phrase - 'I'd climb them like a ladder'. Please don't, not if you're a kitten anyway. My legs are getting a very enthusiastic and unscientific course of treatment every time the kittens think it's a good idea to launch themselves up my legs. Thank goodness for thick trackies!

We watched 'Sam and Ade Go Birding' last night. I wasn't entirely concentrating, but it was pleasant background (better than snooker!)

Wind has more or less gone. Unfortunately the previous forecast for tomorrow of beautiful sunshine has been replaced by rain from mid-afternoon. I can rely on DS2 to bring the washing in but it’s not as simple to bring in a crochet blanket that’s pinned out on mats so that part of my plan has been squashed.

Fairly sure cold - like me - can’t really be bothered thank goodness 😁

Evening all. Glad to hear that the cold seems to have given up LetUs, annoying about the weather forecast though. Not sure what ours is, but we need rain (think I said that already).

Busy day of not getting an awful lot of work done, but lovely afternoon with friend and some horses. Then I came home and tried to catch up this evening. Have just packed DH off to sit with those kittens that he wanted. I should probably have a bath.

Evening. We also had all that windy weather and could do with some rain, I can't be doing with a patched garden in bloody April!

No roadworks here for about a nanosecond but we have bank holiday rail replacement bus services, so yay

Low level illing has decided to make the effort after all. I’m sure some decent sleep would help but that’s not happening.

I shall stop whining as it’s Friday, the sun is shining (for now), and even though it’s probably raining on Monday I won’t be at work.

Went straight to bed after I got back from picking up DS2 from SportingActivity. Not even properly ill, just blah and feeling rubbish. If I take it easy today (not that much of a stretch for me 😁), I’ll be tickety boo for family meal out tonight.

Could MrHelen have been organised about booking a day off because just perhaps he doesn’t have a billion and one things swirling around his brain to remember?

Morning all. I've finally checked the forecast and we have rain expected tonight. /in the meantime, it's warm and sunny and I've watered everything on the patio.

No plans today. We had a stupid late night just due to watching a film, doing sudoku, and playing with kittens. In potential progress, IdiotKitty growled and hissed, but didn't charge at the door when he saw the small idiots this morning. I quite fancy<nto> a beach or bluebell walk today, not sure if I can actually be bothered to go out though!

Afternoon. No sun today but no rain either, although it is forecast for this evening and tomorrow. DH burned the pampas down earlier. Fortunately I didn't know he was going to do it so it was done before I found out. No house or other plants have been harmed in the process. Or him! We really need some rain now to wash it down, it looks a bit of a mess.

I've just been doing my most unfavourite job of cutting up chicken for a batch of curry. Hate it.

I finished a couple of things I’d had on the go. Still waiting for the yarn I want for next big project to come back into stock. Feeling much better thanks. Meal was delicious as were the cocktails. It was quite nice as we walked to the restaurant, chucking it down when we came out. Only one person had a coat with a hood (me) 😁

Evening all. I'm a bit knackered. Didn't go for a walk, but went out to pick some garden stuff up from Facebook Marketplace, and this afternoon I dug over the veg patch and got the potatoes in the ground. I think I need another bath to de-ache!

Morning all. You're allowed to whinge when you'e feeling rubbish LetUs - I have been whinging solidly for 2 days about my legs aching, even though it was mostly self inflicted from riding! Fingers crossed you pick up as the day goes on.

The rain last night was a complete anticlimax - 1mm. <sigh> It's still cloudy this morning but I don't think we have any rain forecast.

Plans will involve not much happening I think. Playing with kittens and slumping on the sofa.

Afternoon. We had a lot of rain last night which was good. More was forecast for today but it didn’t happen.

DS came round earlier with his kids and his leaf-blower which has stopped working, for DH to have a look at.

I’m Swiss-darning some motifs on the resurrected summer jumper. Each one takes an hour to do and there are 16, so I’ve set a target of two a day. I also try to beat my time. It’s the only way I’ll get it done.

Went back to bed this morning and had a little doze. Feeling worse as the day’s gone on and I think I’m now mostly paracetamol. It was nice to see everyone today though.

I have been, literally, herding cats this morning. v. tiring. And a bit painful since Slinky has taken to hurling herself at my legs and them shimmying up them. Which is easily solvable unless I have my hands full already. <le sigh> IdiotKitty got grumpy through the door at them last night, but has mostly ignored them today. I have done plant stuff... No idea of plans or weather for today - it's cloudy but humid at the moment.
