Afternoon. It started off sunny but clouded over mid-morning. I went for a routine blood test and did a top-up food shop while I was out.

Similar weather here Apricot. I’m already planning ahead for the week’s good weather. Have told DS2 I’d like him to get the beds stripped tomorrow and then make his own. Might even - if the excitement levels can stand it - wash some dressing gowns!

Traffic wasn’t too bad really. I shan’t get complacent though.

Evening all. We've had a mix of sunny and cloudy. Warm when the sun's out, but cold otherwise. Washing got mostly dried on the line, and then I didn't quite get it in before we had a shower. Le sigh, etc. Excited to hear we might have good weather ahead though.

Today has mostly been work. Since LetUs was busy seething on my behalf, I was able to forget about/be too busy to either grouch about kittens, or do anything about house prep for them. So hurrah for not being a martyr. I forgot about making banana cake though. Bother.

Hope that Wicked's travels home go smoothly and that Apricot's blood test was painfree, and Fancy has had a good day.

Morning all. Sunny here, but cold still. Did a tiny bit of kitten prep last night before bed, and pointed out to DS that I need his help with it or his stuff will end up wherever I put it - not where he wants it. It may have sunk in. Or it may not.

Exercise and work call. (Actually, already done a bit of work, so that's a bonus.)

Afternoon. Nice day, but there’s still a cold wind. I’ve been deadheading the hydrangeas as it’s bin day tomorrow, and giving the pampas a hair cut. It’s got quite out of hand and DH wants to set fire to it, which is a thing, but I’m a bit nervous as it’s quite close to the house.

As a result of my blood test my GP phoned this morning to tell me my thyroid levels are borderline. I told him that they have been for the last 16 years and I think my foot problems are due to this. To be fair, I’ve never reported this to them, because of side-effects of the medication, so it’s my own fault really. He suggested I give it a try, so that’s another one added to the list. Everything else was normal.

Had a fab mini meet up with ww, we were cultural and had scones - perfect way to spend a Monday. Sadly, back to work today. It was fairly dull.

Will finish The Other Bennet Sister this evening, it's not stellar, but is very pleasant watching and has entertained me well.

DS has gone all out into a frenzy of tidying and done a very good job of it. My expectations are raised to unrealistic levels. I can see floor that hasn't seen the light of day in a looong time. Of course, the problem is that since he's tidying, everyone else is expected to stop what they were doing and help/decide where things should live, etc... <sigh> Still, he's gone up to bed now, so I'm safe to sit down at the laptop again.

It's been sunny today but really cold in the shade and wind. Work has been done.

Apricot, at MrA's pyromaniac tendencies and the potential for setting the house on fire! Definitely not a good idea. Glad to hear that test results didn't flag up any issues that you didn't already know about. Hopefully the extra drugs help though. I did enjoy TOBS Fancy, despite it's utter predictability After all, we know better than to question the plot of something that's fun to watch. Mr Collins was actually a rather sympathetic character, and Darcy's brief appearances towards the end made me laugh.

Did house stuff etc when I got in, had dinner, and then lost track of time doing a jigsaw.

Hurrah for cultural and scones meet up with Wicked Fancy! Agree with Helen re Mr Collins and Darcy. I did shout at the tv a few times at Mrs Bennet.

Crikey MiniHelen! Well done on the tidying, I know exactly what you mean though with having to help etc. DS2 stripped and remade his bed so that was good.

I’ve put a wash out already this morning and gosh it was rather chilly. Still windy too which I wasn’t expecting. We’re forecast 21° on Saturday! We shall see.

Afternoon. Lovely sunny day and the washing dried but the wind was very cold. I tried sitting outside but wasn't out there long. DH is karchering too, which was annoying, but it's looking much better.
