Afternoon all. Sunny and clear again here, but distinctly cooler.

I have been sudoku-ing and then stewing up fruit and tomatoes all day so far. Just sat down for 'breakfast' Still, can't say I haven't earned the massive omelette

Hope that every wench s having a lovely day and LetUs is doing exactly what she wants (i.e. not chores)

Afternoon. Lovely sunny day and the washing dried but it's definitely autumnal now. We've put the heating on.

Omelette sounds good Helen, I might have one for tea.

Hope LetUs enjoyed her half day to herself.

Quite fancy<nto> a bath tonight, but will probably procrastinate until it's too late.

Had a combination of busy day and very relaxing day. Did bath’n’book and the book was so good I had to top up the bath with hot water.

More or less finished another crochet project. Have lost the oomph to carry on with my knitting project though. I’m sitting in the back room with the heated airer on so no heating necessary, well not for me anyway.

Forgot to ask - did anyone see Northern Lights yesterday? We went out too late (despite the news on TV saying it was ongoing) and saw nothing. I checked again this evening and there was nothing to see, but the red deer are bellowing away.

Only saw reports of Northern Lights once I was in bed and I didn’t bother to get up to check.

DH complaining that he didn’t sleep after I’d been to the bathroom around 4 and that I was snoring. Oh dear, what’s that like 🙄

Not keen on Monday so far but I’d better get on with it.

Morning. It's bright and sunny and I also have to get on with it. Though I have stewed up a batch of apples, so hurrah for productivity early in the day. Mind you, I'm out for a hot chocolate with a friend after lunch, so I need to crack on.

Did you manage to not say "welcome to my world" and keep your eyeballs in your head LetUs, or did they roll out and off the road?

Afternoon. Pretty miserable day, with showers on and off. I didn't know about the Northern Lights until after the event. There were some pictures on a local FB page.

I get accused of snoring LetUs, it's usually when I complain about DH. He says it doesn't bother him, but he can sleep through anything.

Well done on gardening and stewing activity Helen. Hope you enjoyed the hot chocolate with your friend.

Work did its usual thing and now I’m sitting with my head trying to decide if it’s going to have a headache or not.

Evening. Has been miserable and drizzly all day here, finished cleaning some carpets but didn't get any gardening done. Have made a large pot of proper autumnal soup though - trying to embrace the positives of the colder weather 😁 The hot water bottle has been dug out of the cupboard and I have TCFKAC on my lap. He has been playing more the last few days, he seems to have a bit more energy.

Evening all. The drizzle reached us this evening, but I'd covered the woodpile, so that's ok
DS has been out with friends, and brought them in to see the kittens when he got dropped off. DS has nice friends, so all good there.

Hope that TCFKAC is using his energy wisely - i.e. not bullying Floof. Also hope that LetUs didn't get a headache.

Morning all, just about. Not sure where the day has gone so far. Dry at the moment, but the clouds coming in are rather gloomy.

Afternoon. Nice day, but it's very windy. I went out earlier to collect a prescription and nearly got blown over.

Good to hear TCFKAC is getting better.

Nice that MiniHelen has good friends. Our two still see the friends they made when we first came to this road over 40 years ago. They grew up together, went to each other's weddings and children's christenings. We're the only ones left in the road now.

Evening all. Lots of wind<nlt> though it seems to have dropped now. I worked. I cooked reheated tea, I'm trying to help DS/persuade DS to apply for jobs and the feeling of pulling teeth was actually real I'd be a toothless crone by now. <sobs>

Please send HBFs to take me dancing and spoil me rotten. Or just do all the domestic tedium. Or give DS a job something.

So dark I’m sure I’ve misread all the clocks and it’s actually the middle of the night. My oomph (such that it was) appears to have gone on holiday and I am more oomphless than usual. Le sigh.

Morning all. It was all dark when I woke up. Don't like it. The sun is coming up now, but still... can I hibernate until next spring now?

Slinky is used to me not keeping college hours now, so on the mornings I'm up before 7am they're still outside marauding and not waiting for food. Spot was in, but was very unimpressed with cat food and went out again. IdiotKitty however is not really an idiot, scoffed his food, and has gone upstairs to sleep it off. I identify with IdiotKitty.

I have no spare oomph, or I'd lend you some LetUs . Alternatively, you can have some anyway and Ill go back to bed

Evening all. Not much going on here. Spot has murdered another house spider of the long legged, chunky hairy body sort. While I'm grateful for her efforts, it's also very perturbing how many she's finding - I really didn't want to know how many were in the house to be killed!

DS2 seems to have a cough. He’s so far more or less avoided whatever it is that’s been going round, but this doesn’t sound good. Ah well.

Afternoon. Cloudy but not cold, although it's getting a bit chilly now. We're tending to put the heating on in the evenings.

Eeek at Spot. We haven't had many this year, although DD has been invaded by them, and she's a bit phobic. Fortunately her DH isn't, although he wasn't there one night last week and she called her Dad out to get one.

Hope MiniLetUs's cough doesn't turn out to be much and no-one else catches it.

Don’t think it properly brightened up at any point today and it’s raining now.

I still remember when I lived on my own seeing a large you know strolling nonchalantly across the floor. The only things of any use to hand were a Yellow Pages and a can of hairspray. This was pre-LetUsCat days.

DS2 seems to be fine thankfully, that is to say his usual grumpy snappy self.

Evening all. I'm a bit wabbit - I had one of those nights where my brain wouldn't stop whirring and I was awake until gone 1am. I have trudged inefficiently through work though, and stewed up some apples. Now I'm slobbed on the sofa with sudoku and chocolate.

Weather has been outside, but I think its looked ok. certainly no rain yet - I heard some was forecast, but didn't catch if it was going to reach us.

Glad that MiniLetUs seems fine.
