Thread 173 Shock. Break out the duvets and huddle round the scorching hot brazier HBF-of-choice.

Yet more domestic drivel and shameless perving.

Afternoon. Lovely sunny day here, which reminds me, I still have washing on the line. Don’t know whether it’s dried.

Lovely new thread Helen, thank you. I panicked when I saw the old one was full. Shock

Nice bag WW, mine need replacing but I can’t see anything I like.

Good luck to LetUsDS2 for his mocks. DGD is doing hers too.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 28/11/2022 18:24

LetUsPrey · 28/11/2022 20:43

Evening wenches.

Excellent new thread Helen - thank you. What a lovely selection of coats. So important to keep warm.

Mocks are 2 1/2 weeks. He thinks today went okay. Good luck to DGD Apricot.

Stopped off to do a bit of shopping on the way to work and went over on my ankle as I was getting back into the car. Nothing desperate but it was an interesting drive to work. Did the work thing, came home and did some ironing and made flapjacks. No time for knitting as I’ve also done my nails. Yawning away now as I may have an early night.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/11/2022 21:30

Evening all.

Ouch LetUs - hope your ankle is ok. <pages Dr Aramis>

We've been watching a Guardians of the Galaxy Xmas special on Disney+, it was entertaining.

Speaking of coats, have I linked to the Strike trailer? twitter.com/RGalbraith/status/1597296862050111488

Morning wenches.

Saw the trailer on the tv the other night. Might have been after Strictly? It looks like it’s going to be brilliant.

Ankle still a bit iffy but it’ll be fine.

Dark and blaaaaahhhhhh again. Not sure why I’m thinking it might be any different Grin

Have excellent wenchy days.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/11/2022 07:57

Morning. IKR LetUs - why we'd expect it to be anything other than dark and gloomy in the morning now is... illogical. Though we can live in hope for sunshine - crisp bright mornings are good <peers out of the window hopefully>

I have the usual today, so I will be able to contain my excitement.

I don't think you should be walking on your ankle though, you should stay and rest in the hayloft. If you must go out, then I'll line up some transport for you...

Afternoon. It was foggy this morning but cleared quite quickly although remained rather miserable.

Nothing much going on here, ironing, knitting, cat bed.

Hope the ankle’s alright LetUs.

I haven’t seen the Strike trailer on TV yet. Will be watching the football tonight, hope that drummer isn’t there.

LetUsPrey · 29/11/2022 18:29

Evening wenches.

Ankle much better thank you. Will still require transport options to be available though.

Work was worky.

I bet there‘ll be an entire flipping band there tonight Apricot. Hopefully they won’t be picked up quite so much on the microphones.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/11/2022 22:20

Evening all. Unexpected day out tomorrow, so have been flailing all evening rearranging work.

Hope the football went well for whoever was playing/being supported. Assume England are playing?

Need to kick Intelligent Cat off my lap and go to bed.

Evening
Spent yesterday shopping with DD, couldn't find what we were looking for so have bought it online instead.

Today got off to a bad start - went downstairs to give FancyCat her breakfast to discover the dual delights of a hairball and the output of an upset stomach. Mercifully most was on wipe clean surfaces, apart from what was on her that is. Bathing a cat before breakfast is no fun. I did escape a mauling and she has forgiven me, so it could have been worse.

I feel the need o decorate, but have run out of time, will try tomorrow!

LetUsPrey · 30/11/2022 07:32

Morning wenches.

England won and the drummer seemed to behave themselves. My team in the work sweep got through too so hurrah!

Poor FancyCat Sad Hope she’s okay.

Very very dark here so can’t gauge weather other than not raining. Short day which will be bookended by shopping because apparently you can’t move Christmas and people get funny about birthdays.

ApricotCrush · 30/11/2022 17:15

Afternoon. Bit of a meh day really weatherwise.

Highlight of the day was taking Misty to the vet for her jab etc. She was very good and let the lovely vet jab her, do the flea treatment, weigh her, inspect her teeth, shove a worming tablet down and examine her tummy without so much as a hiss or growl. She's been pronounced fit and healthy so that's good. My purse isn't so healthy though. Shock

Yes, the drummer wasn't so loud last night, although we turned the sound down a bit.

Hope FancyCat is alright and Helen had a good day out.

We're watching that SAS drama which is very entertaining.

LetUsPrey · 30/11/2022 19:27

Evening wenches.

What a good girl Misty is! Well done! DH has been enjoying the SAS drama.

Not much going on other than fucksake it’s December tomorrow and I don’t feel anywhere near organised.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 30/11/2022 19:49

Wow! Misty is such a good girl. That would never happen with Fräsan Confused Sigrid was very well behaved though ❤️

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 30/11/2022 19:50

Can’t believe it’s December tomorrow. WTF!

FancyFancy · 30/11/2022 21:05

FancyCat appears somewhat better thanks, much to the relief of both of us.

Yay for Misty behaving - FancyCat is fairly good at the vet but ScaredyCat was lethal Shock

Today has mostly been work filled and dark - time to decorate....

FancyFancy · 30/11/2022 21:14

Going with a military theme as so may of us are watching that SAS drama

<harrumps at MN not doing gifs>

LetUsPrey · 01/12/2022 07:42

Morning wenches.

You’ll just have to do <ylt> the gifs Fancy. Good news re FancyCat.

No, not ready for December today. No thank you.

Dark as per. Not even reminding DS2 he can start his advent calendar and have chocolate for breakfast has made him move any faster.

Quite like to stay at home with my knitting but obviously not.

Have excellent days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/12/2022 09:53

Urgh. was in bed at 6pm last night with a fecking awful migraine. Still not feeling great, which is bloody annoying because we are out tonight at a nice loud concert Confused FML.

Also, is the 'similar' threads' thing new. I've just noticed it at the bottom of the screen. "What are you wearing today?" Hmm I think they missed the point of this thread, it not actually being about coats so much as who was wearing them.

OP posts:
WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 01/12/2022 11:33

Hope FancyCat is feeling better ❤️

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 01/12/2022 11:34

😢at migrain Helen

ApricotCrush · 01/12/2022 17:03

Afternoon. I went a walk to post a card in the box in the next road as we don’t warrant having one of our own, and it was really cold.

Yes, December. Shock This time last year we’d had the tree up and decorated for over a week.

Hope the headache’s gone Helen. Yes, that is new at the bottom of the page. Grin at them misunderstanding the thread.

LetUsPrey · 01/12/2022 19:36

Evening wenches.

Grin the “similar threads” confusion.

How are you feeling Helen? Hopefully tip top by now and ready for an excellent evening out.

Hope you’re not watching the Japan -v- Spain match Apricot. There’s a very LOUD drummer and it’s doing my bloody head in.

FancyFancy · 01/12/2022 19:52

Evening
Well winter is here alright, have been working at home today because of flying wench visit Grin Was very nice not to have to leave the house!

Hope the head survives the gig helen

FancyCat seems better now thanks.

I may have to watch another episode of that SAS thing tonight - there's something warming about watching desert scenes Grin
