The concert was awesome, thought the second support was very - probably perfectly good at what they did, but not to my taste. They also had limited crowd interaction - not much more than "Venue name!!! (to make the crowd cheer), which is fine, but by the firth time you're just a bit "Yes, we're still here, we haven't change location. Have you got no short term memory?

Anyway, the main act was fab my head survived it. My head was less impressed this morning, with the very late night(early hours) and early morning <side-eyes at DH's phone pinging me awake after 5 hours sleep> but I'm getting by with the magic of asprin and a massive bowl of porridge. The manshapes haven't emerged yet.

I like the idea of walking to the next road for a postbox Apricot. I have to hike for a mile to get to ours. We used to have a closer one (half a mile) but I think someone reversed into it and then the Post Office couldn't be bothered to replace it. Also, the letters in that box did have a tendency to get munched by slugs. #LivingTheRuralDream

Afternoon. Looks a bit miserable out there, but I haven't had to leave the house.

Still cleaning and researching the toys from the shed to see what they're worth. I think I'm making hard work of it. I'll probably put them into bundles to save time and effort.

I'm only watching the England games so haven't been bothered by the drums.

Sun is out which is a pleasant change. Have to collect dry cleaning, concentrate on Christmas lists, buy Christmas cards. Don’t want to do any of this.

Morning all. It's stopped raining and I need to get my backside in gear and do stuff. (Cards, bottle bank, charity shop, etc.)

Afternoon. Another rather miserable day.

I went out to post a parcel this morning and went into a little card shop and they’d got better cards than all the ones in town, so I’m sorted. Only got to write them now.

We got the Christmas stuff out of the loft earlier and now DH is tackling the annual job of mending the tree which goes in the lounge it’s about 40 years old and finding out which set of lights don’t work.

Put the bedframe together today, looks great. Also bought new pillows and a duvet, Fräsan claimed it immediately 😂

Cards bought. Just have to write the bastard things now. Not quite got the festive spirit yet. Just mentioned to DH I need him to get the box down from the loft in a day or two which has the boxes of cards in it. He said that’s fine and the tree will need going up soon anyway. I disagreed in strong terms.

Hurrah for new bed and bedding Wicked! at Fräsan.

Got a few stocking fillers for DS2 and some rather nice slippers for DS1.

My day was... dunno. I got some stuff done, but couldn't return an item because the sodding QR scanner wouldn't read the QR to print off the returns label, and I forgot to take my purse so I couldn't do any shopping. Not a disaster, but annoying. I have written no cards. DH has got lights up here, but the tree is still outdoors, waterlogged and weighing a ton I suspect!

LetUs - I suspect that Aramis might be lying on top of your Christmas spirit. You'll have to distract him somehow <ylt> so you can get to it. It make take several attempts, and he may try to hide it under different HBFs. Good luck.

Was reading the Radio Times today - TB's father was in Musketeers, and his mother is in the next series of Strike I'm sure it was 'blind' cast on merit of course. <snort>

Have been a bit lazy today - a bit of shopping & cooking & some mooching around. Had a look round a Christmas fair, was nice to see lots of people out but not a great selection of stalls for the people I wanted to buy presents for. Got a couple more stocking fillers though, which was handy & there were some good local fundraising stalls too.

Love that Frasan is already claiming the new items ww - typical cat FancyCat has finally got the hang of the covered litter tray. I did have to bodily shove her in through the door as she showed no move do it herself despite it being there for a few weeks.

Season 2 you say apricot? That makes sense given the way the series ended, felt like some things were being left open.

Glad to see you're taking a firm line on the tree letus, I'm another who doesn't like putting mine up too early - I don't really have an excuse this year as I'll be putting up the artificial one.

Can you imagine a wench with that topic helen? Personally I'm interested in no other Aramis but Santi, I refuse to believe there are any other Aramis's.

Today we have a trip out to the local brewery (aka chance for me to read a book), and I need to try and get going on Christmas cards. And put on more layers of clothes. DH is in 'doing' mode and 'getting stuff done'; it's very exhausting.

Afternoon/Evening. We finally did the nature walk this afternoon with DS & Co. It's a disused railway line which goes past the house DH lived in when I met him so it was interesting to see everything from another angle. It was cold though.

No cards written, but the lounge tree is up and decorated.

Morning all. It's cold and dark and it has rained. I've just put another saucepan of windfalls on the hob, and next door have various vans round to clean the outside of their house (from what I can tell on the side of the vans).

I can't say I'm too keen on it being Monday, but I don't seem to have any choice about it.

DD was off work today so we've been out all day. Dunelm, B&M and Smyths Toys this morning, then lunch here and three garden centres this afternoon. I'm knackered. DD bought a load of stuff for her tree and presents for friends and I bought ...<drum roll> a potato peeler and a spatula.

Weirdly, she bought some reed diffusers and the first advert I saw when I opened my iPad was reed diffusers I hadn't got my iPad with me when we were out and only opened my phone to look at the time. This happens too frequently to be co-incidence. What's going on?????

Evening, have been pottering around with FancyMan today. Chilly here so planning on a relaxing evening faffing about on the internet looking at stuff, need to buy a few things but will probably disappear down a rabbit hole and have forgotten was I was supposed to be buying 😁
