If you don't like the songs on Maisie, how about SPOT? They have terrible melodies, don't rhyme and don't make sense. I hate Spot. The books are brilliant but the video just makes me want to spit - it's as if they think any old rubbish will do for kids. I hide ours.

Chris Tarrant! Am I the only person who hates him so much that I can't bear even 5 seconds of Millionaire? - it doesn't seem to bother anyone else I know. Have to agree on Bodger and Badger and Barney, also The Shiny Show and the awful US programmes on CBeebies. India Knight was in my year at university and she was a pretentious t**t then as well.

Have to disagree about India Knight - think she is rather wonderful. Has anyone read her new book 'Don't You Want Me?' (obviously Tinker's answer to this would be 'No! I certainly do not want you' It is the funniest thing I've read in ages and it is nothing like her column, which I agree can be a bit irritating.

Amazed by this hatred of India Knight, never heard of her column, or her alto ego Katherine! I think I read a book by her called 'My life on a Plate' but she was being India then, not Katherine. Anyway, I thought it was rather good! Totally agree about Chris Tarrant and his dull should be named 'Who gives a f*'' I LOATHE that programme and he is so bland.

OK, I hate India Knight's columns but loved her book My life on a plate. Not keen on Katherine Flett as a columnist but liked her book. Mmmm, I'm a contradiction. Agree totally about Chris Tarrant. REALLY would like to slap him. And Anne Robinson. Glad her show went t**s up in the states, she was getting far too smug for my liking

OK, I have to admit I've never read anything by Ms Knight, but I'm intrigued by the opposing opinions expressed here of her work so I might try it. Just get annoyed by her being hailed as the latest exponent of Chick Lit, that sort of writing seems so lazy...

Count me in the anti India Knight fan club. A reluctant member because I have found her stuff funny and readable at times - but yuk! to that spastics comment, Pamina - however, I'm an anti because she takes her relatively rich and privileged background so much for granted.
