Huzzah ! Jelly all round Grin

Have armed self with sparkling wine and jelly and am nagging FidGirl to get off Netflix and help me.

iklboo · 04/08/2016 20:40

Fabulous news Zombie. Sounds like you've had a very pleasing day all round. I shall have a celebratory glass of wine or three in your honour. Off work now for 2.5 weeks. Nollingdays on Sunday. Huzzah!!

Fiderer · 04/08/2016 20:48

I also had a deer yesterday nibbling on the wilderness of doom that is my garden. Which was a) lovely and b) shows the wild boar have buggered off for now.

Allalonenow · 04/08/2016 21:39

Zombie I'm so pleased for you that you got such positive answers from the consultant, they really do seem to be listening to you.

Glad too that your plan for the day went smoothly, favorite breakfast AND a trip to Lakeland, what could be better. I love Lakeland, especially around C** when they stock real Turkish Delight!

I bet you will be tired tomorrow though, so rest as much as you can, you can still make holiday plans while resting natch! Brew Cake

Glad you are on the jelly trail Fid, I posted a note about how to capture the bubbles, hope you enjoy making and eating it.
Wild boar ~ amazing! Are you in Italy?

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 04/08/2016 22:21

What a brilliant day Zombie especially the news that the chemo is working and you can be on a reduced dose.

Seeing a deer family must have been magical, we have them on a couple of roads through woods here but I've only ever seen them doing kamikaze leaps across the road so I'm jealous of your more leisurely encounter.

Hmm, now, holiday. Can't imagine where you might be thinking of going Grin

Wotcha everyone. Zombie especially.

Now that I am in Canadia hopefully more time to actually MN a little bit. Off to catch up on the thread.

Bastarding time difference though, you are all asleep!

Mummylin · 05/08/2016 01:30

I'm not hearts will be very soon though I can feel my eyes closing ! How are things over there for you ? Everyone will be sad to of missed you.

Fiderer · 05/08/2016 08:27

Wotcha Hearts How're things in Canada? We are quite the international bunch.

All not in Italy but rural boar-infested Germany. The Village Hunter (acc to the the council that is indeed his title/job) came cos you have to report sightings and told me he can't shoot them as they're within the village boundary so all he could recommend was an electric fence. Quite what the point of reporting was am not sure.

Didn't have any idea how I should fund the fence mind. And I have outgoings in the form of jelly and sparkling wine to fund Wink

They are scary buggers, aggressive. There I sit reading in the garden and suddenly there's this grunting animal. ( reminds me of exH ) So I use the garden less, hence the deer being welcome cos it shows the boar have gone and hopefully won't return till winter.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 05/08/2016 14:52

Wild boar, wow. We don't get anything as exciting as that. In the city we have squirrels, a ton of raccoons and the odd fox. We get deer, skunks, chipmunks, squirrels, more raccoons, beavers, hedgehogs at the cottage but the best ones I have seen are moose and elks. All harmless really - well apart from skunks if you get sprayed, but that is more unpleasant than dangerous!

There are rumours of wolves and coyotes and even big cats (bobcats, lynx, cougars) but I have never seen any.

IamtheZombie · 05/08/2016 15:35

I'm just home after treating myself to a massage, a light lunch of ham, egg, and chips and a very quick whiz around Harry Tuffins for bread and milk.

I can't decide whether to nap or go the distance and try to get an early night tonight. Maybe I'll just doze in my chair as a halfway measure.

Great news zombie so pleased for you ! Drinks and jelly all round tonight 🍷🍧🍷🍧

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 05/08/2016 18:18

Bloody hell Fid that sounds really scary, and a real shame if you can't use your garden which sounds gorgeous without the beasts.

Hope everything is good there Hearts. I sent you a PM just before you left but it must have got lost mid Atlantic Smile xxx

Hope you had a nice doze Zomb.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 05/08/2016 19:35

Zombie it is heartening to hear about you having a nice day out and treating yourself. Do you have a good massage therapist / place you like to go? Treating yourself and being kind to yourself and making time to do so (when you feel up to it) is so important.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 05/08/2016 19:35

BBB Blush Blush

I have just PM'd you. Finally.

Fiderer · 05/08/2016 20:01

Ham chips & eggs sounds flipping great. As does dozing in your chair, whatever you need, lovely Zombie.

Jelly was a most excellent breakfast. FidGirl had put nectarine pieces in some glasses in a fruitless (ha) quest for vitamins and fruitiness. I couldn't taste the Sekt/sparkling wine but she could and FidBoy1 reckoned there was a touch to it. He's 19 mind and more hardened.

FidGirl will be 14 on Monday (gasp)

I want a moose, no more boar.

IamtheZombie · 05/08/2016 21:17

Zombie promises never to boar (sic) you again, Fid.

I have this evening re-discovered just how nice a White Russian is. Mmmmm.

Golly no, how wonderful Grin

FidGirl here! good to hear things are well on your side, mum is freaking out about my upcoming birthday and hasn't quite recovered from the hair dyeing at my end. But she loved the jelly, which is a ray of light in her strop about Trump and the upcoming election. Much love to you, my virtual godmother, FIdGirl Tardis Flowers

HerRoyalFattyness · 05/08/2016 21:41
