No car still in the drive, first Rac man started it first time, Dh went to start and again it wouldn't , by the time second Rac man came out the Vauxhall suppliers were closed so Dh can get the part this afternoon. Nothing serious so can soon be fixed.

Yes allalone Dh managed to buy the part and fix it so all is well again ! It's so annoying when things go wrong isn't it, but it was made easier by second Rac man doing a diagnostic test so could pinpoint the problem for us.

With your cooking abilities and foodie knowledge I really wish you were my mother Allalone, somehow the sums don't quite add up

Gosh! Not too long to go for your DD then B3! Has she got her bag packed? I'd suggest chocolate, soft fruit/cereal bars, little boxes of fruit juice with straw, cooling wet wipes, lip salve.

Glad your car was fixed lin, so handy to have someone mechanically minded isn't it. I miss ExP for that type of thing, he could fix anything.

Hello Phalanx!!

I have not been ignoring you. I have had no internet connection since 12.32 pm last Friday. At that time, Sky transferred me to fibre broadband and succeeded only in cutting me off. After a couple of days of angst, numerous phone calls and a visit from an Openreach engineer at 09.00 am Sunday morning the problem was diagnosed as an inadequate router (too old and outdated to cope with high speed connection). Replacement router has finally arrived and been installed.

Today is chemo day so it will take me until at least Saturday or Sunday to get caught up on everything.

Visitor is fine (and delightful company) AND her mum is arriving late Saturday evening.

I'll report in more detail when I can.

Chemo has been deferred until Friday, 22nd July. Long story short, there's a problem with one of the machines in the pharmacy that mixes the chemo and they are waiting for the part needed to fix it. Meantime they're having to source some of the chemo from other hospitals. They were unable to get any TDM1 for me for today.

Sigh.

Hi there zombie! What a pain for you, no internet, no chemo, at least you have had some company, someone to have a moan to!! I would be lost without my internet I think it's my life, that's a bit sad isn't it lol.🌸🌸

It must be so fragmenting to be all keyed up for your chemo and then have it cancelled on the day, sorry for that.

I'm a bit buried in choosing house stuff at the moment. I have to keep reminding myself that this knob or that knob is not going to change my life

Glad you have got your internet back, I hate it when ours goes off for any reason, what a blow about your chemo, let's hope everything goes ahead next Friday. Do you still have your guests ? I bet it's been lovely to have someone to natter to in the evenings.

Odd how one feels without internet. Ours was knocked out in the village on & off for days recently after daily thunderstorms.

Was bliss in the office but a right pain at home. Made worse by the chorus of "Muuhuum, my internet's down "from the FidPests

No Internet is awful. I had no nternet around the time DS2 was due. lin and a few others were very frustrated waiting for news

Hope you're holding up in the heat Z, I imagine your house is quite cool being on a hill.

Hope you are all coping in this heat, far too hot to do any housework for me ! Zombie hope you are taking it easy in this heat and not overdoing things. Do you still have visitors or have they gone now ?

Hope you're doing OK Zombie & that you can manage to get some sleep in this heat. I put cold water in a hot water bottle & stuck it in the freezer for a bit. When I went to bed I put it in my pillow case. Lovely.

Poor DS2 doesn't like the heat so much. He's been a bit of a grump these last couple of days.

How are you zombie? not melting are you?

House is getting there lin thanks, but seems slow. Have to keep reminding myself that, although we've been in the caravan for a year, work didn't start until October.
