There has been so much huffing and puffing around the house about how tired he is that I think he wants everyone to know.

OP posts:
crosser62 · 10/07/2020 18:00

May I gently and sympathetically suggest a hot buffet for his wake.
This could well be a terminal event you know.
monsoon have a lovely range of black facinators to finish off your funeral outfit.
Condolences.

IHateCoronavirus · 10/07/2020 18:02

Grin do sone of you live with my DH?

ChocolateBlock · 10/07/2020 18:02

Mine has been tired every day for 5 years. I simply cannot understand how tired he is he says. It makes me want to hurt him. A lot.

bitofasleuth · 10/07/2020 18:02

There seems to be an outbreak of tireditis among the menfolk at the moment.

What are we going to do???!!! Oh yeah, I know.

Ignore.

JoJothesquirrel · 10/07/2020 18:03

I asked mine what he’d had for lunch cause I was deciding what to have for tea (rock and roll lifestyle alert) he said he hadn’t had any and now he was tired and hungry. Long pause.
I said “yeah me too” grabbed some crisps and I’m now on the sofa. I’ve done a full week too I’m afraid.

fatgirlslimmer · 10/07/2020 18:03

@Fromage waltzing in and saying "are you doing a roast?" to my arse

This has made me laugh out loud 😂

My DH has just flopped on the sofa and said “oh I am weary today” he’s now making cuppas. I might hog the big sofa while he’s in the kitchen.

healingthepain · 10/07/2020 18:04

Dressing gown of doom Grin

BrightYellowDaffodil · 10/07/2020 18:04

@Fromage I hope he went hungry that night!

@FlamingoAndJohn I suspect that by the time you get back he will be reclining on the sofa as if it was a fainting couch, moaning gently that you abandoned him in his hour of need. To which the only possible answer is, "I know dear, shocking isn't it?" before sailing out of the room to run yourself a bath and pour a large glass of wine.

MrsNoah2020 · 10/07/2020 18:04

My DH took a year off work to pursue a hobby (arts related, not cycling, even though this is MN Wink). After a week back at work he was really tired. I had had 3 days of annual leave over the preceding year.

Onekidnoclue · 10/07/2020 18:05

It must be serious. My DH is only ever EXTREMELY TIRED when I mention that I’m whacked. Apparently his 9-5 is just as tiring as my first trimester exhaustion plus three yo wrangling... oh! And my full time job too!
Honestly it’s incredible, he’s so strong though. Too weak to unload the dishwasher but assured me he has the strength to go to the pub... what a solider 🥳

Full on nicking the “I am weary today” phrase. Feel it needs more exposure 👍

Coronacurls · 10/07/2020 18:07

My DH has definitely been wearing his dressing gown less since I started calling it 'the dressing gown of doom' 😂

Fromage · 10/07/2020 18:08

@IHateCoronavirus

Grin do sone of you live with my DH?
Are you married to my ex? ShockGrin
Dontforgetyourbrolly · 10/07/2020 18:08

Tireditis affects women too, but men must be the carriers , as since ex dp left I'm completely ' tired - free' Grin

muckandnettles · 10/07/2020 18:09

Mine has had the huffing and puffing for a while but now I'm afraid he has a bad case of tutting as well.

He went hungry and soon after he went single. Grin

Wiaa · 10/07/2020 18:11

I know why your dh is so tired @ChocolateBlock, he's also married to me Grin

itchyfinger · 10/07/2020 18:11

Yes extremely tired DH here too. He generally goes to bed at 9.30pm (unless bringing himself to drink 5 beers in the evening), and the kids NEVER wake him up first in the morning. Also sleeps like a (snooring) log. But his tiredness seems to hit him at around 10am and lasts all day!

Igmum · 10/07/2020 18:14

Gutted that as a single parent I don't get a look in at such fabulous Friday evenings Grin

MillyDilly · 10/07/2020 18:15

Do you think there’s an outside chance that these men might recover enough to ‘try just a little supper’ if you were to cook something? I bet they’ll all manfully make every effort to rally if they smell food. Thank Christ I’m single.

ValleyoftheTrolls · 10/07/2020 18:15

Mine is the very opposite of tired since the doc changed his meds. Quite frankly, watching him Duracell Bunny around the house all day is making me tired 🤣🤣🤣 (but he’s getting better so that’s amazing really).

BitOfFun · 10/07/2020 18:16

"I didn't sleep a wink last night"...what- EVERY night? Because that's what I hear daily.

I forgive the ridiculous exaggerating though, because he still actually does stuff all day, rather than slobbing about on the sofa. That's MY job Grin.

Lucygucy · 10/07/2020 18:16

Mine has hurt his back and is whimpering. Whimpering! All round the house. He keeps shuffling up behind me and moaning.
I'm Not sure we'll both make it to morning 🤔

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 10/07/2020 18:18

I have been told many times today that dh didn’t sleep well. There was sighing. There were recriminations because he was late up.(he wasn’t told what time it was. Apparently a ghost said “ dh get the fuck up, it’s 7.15” and he didn’t hear it.) Theres huffing. Weak calls for coffee. It’s too much for me to bear.
I think this is a sadly neglected problem in our society, there needs to be a public enquiry at least, major research. These poor, poor men. 😭😭

DickKerrLadies · 10/07/2020 18:18
