On plastic chairs. Just me?

Please tell me it's not just me. It happened tonight at school parents meeting. Stood up after a nice chat with the maths teacher and there is it, the diamond shaped condensation patch of doom.

I nearly name changed because i am very embarrassed, but fuck it.

My comment was part of the screenshot on Huffington Post!

Strangerinlaw · 12/11/2016 04:47

Yep happens to men too, notice it on those hard plastic chairs..... Not sure about the school maths teacher though.... Looool especially in a cold room. Short skirts will definitely encourage it,,,, from an Engineer!

Annettehannah · 12/11/2016 05:43

Hi there everyone. Just joined up from Australia. waves.

Annettehannah · 12/11/2016 05:44

Fanny farts are my downfall!!!lol

user1478939671 · 12/11/2016 08:38

Ladies, I have to add to this and tell you that it is not unique to women. I was in a meeting behind a guy wearing quite thin, summery bottoms. He stood up and there was a mild tsunami on the chair.
So for once the good Lord has blessed both sexes.

Chopstick17 · 12/11/2016 09:45

Have never noticed this, it's flipping freezing out too, just how hot was that Maths teacher???

MakingMyWayThroughTown · 12/11/2016 10:00

Oh I'm so glad this is not just me! And fanny condensation has given me the best giggle this week! Wiggle your ass slightly before you stand up like another poster has suggested. It happened to me once and since the chair was red it was glaringly obvious, threw my bag on top of it to hide it! quite I wish we were joking, but if your fantoosh is hot then its gonna leave a mark hehe!

Olympiathequeen · 12/11/2016 10:12

No, never! Never even heard of this! I can't imagine it unless I wasn't wearing pants and even then probably not. I'd have to be naked to leave marks on the chair. That's so grim to think of sitting in a chair where someone's funny had sweated. Going to vomit Shock

OhtoblazeswithElvira · 12/11/2016 12:02

Fear not Olivia, for it is not sweat, but condensation.

Nopoocrumbshere · 12/11/2016 12:53

Haha that's exactly what I do.Grin

tiej · 12/11/2016 13:07

Olympia, are you OK? have you stopped vomiting?

theaveragewife · 12/11/2016 13:09

tiej she can't vomit, for she has no bodily functions or secretions that may be considered grim.

tiej · 12/11/2016 13:35

Olympia are you really the queen?

QueenMortificado · 12/11/2016 14:31

Can't believe this has gone viral!

WankingMonkey · 12/11/2016 14:47

Husband says he gets arse mist also. After laughing at me for 10 minutes asking why I was asking Blush

iwouldgoouttonight · 12/11/2016 20:47

I love you all.

Really thought this only happened to me. DS has continence issues which we often discuss at parents evenings, and then I get up and leave the inevitable diamond fanny patch and I always imagine the teachers muttering after we've left about how it's obviously hereditary.

GarlicMist · 12/11/2016 21:05

Well, we know it went viral because journalists across the UK were gasping "Oh, thank FUCK it's not just me!" As of Monday morning, women in meetings across the nation will be faced with yet another anatomy-related dilemma: whether to wriggle on rising from the chair, in hopes of erasing the tell-tale diamond of snatch steam, or to stand up confidently like a professional, knowing everyone else read the article and might be checking the leatherette.

Being a woman gets tougher by the day ...

MrsDilligaf · 13/11/2016 07:19

I sat on a plastic chair yesterday....I thought of this thread and stood back up!

SapphireStrange · 13/11/2016 11:54

Elendon, I don't drink, thanks all the same.

Can't get any work done knowing this Thread of Genius is still rumbling on.

knickerbockerglory · 13/11/2016 13:59

Hilarious and comforting!

tiej · 13/11/2016 15:03

knickerbockerglory Is your NN in honour of the thread?

donajimena · 13/11/2016 19:44

I've been pondering this.. I realised today whilst seated that I don't actually sit on chairs in the way a lot of people may.
I'm extremely tall so in order to feel comfortable I tend to sit at an angle. Hard to describe but I don't plonk my nethers directly on the seat. Purely physiology but it might explain why some people don't 'suffer' ?

donajimena · 13/11/2016 19:46

I'm also a bit too slim so the angle sitting thing stops my buttocks from hurting!

ZombieNightOwl · 13/11/2016 22:36

Thank fuck I'm not the only one! Thought it was just because I was so fat! Most embarrassing time was a hot day, wearing cropped jeans and watching my daughters Gym gala! I was so embarrassed I ended up standing for the whole second half at the sides "to get a better view!"

EveryDayIsASchoolDay · 14/11/2016 00:38

Just caught up. Still absolutely awesome. Nearly woke DH up as I was laughing so much I started coughing! Whoops.
