On plastic chairs. Just me?

Please tell me it's not just me. It happened tonight at school parents meeting. Stood up after a nice chat with the maths teacher and there is it, the diamond shaped condensation patch of doom.

I nearly name changed because i am very embarrassed, but fuck it.

Thank god. This has always happened to me with the bloody plastic school chairs. Never considered the sideways sweep. I have found my people

ClopySow · 10/11/2016 21:22

Auntdotsie

We just need some peer reviewing.

But just so you know...

YOU'RE A GROUNDBREAKING SCIENTIST

Muff mist - fucking love it!
This has happened to me. Hairdressers are the worst! Twist and slide!!!!

BlueBlueSkies · 10/11/2016 21:29

Happened to me at a job interview. Had a very long interview (2 hours), in a very hot room, on a very hot day. I was so hot I could feel swear running down my back. When I stood up there was a very obvious patch on the fake leather chair I had been sitting on. Hoped that no one else noticed.

Mumblesoldbloke · 10/11/2016 21:37

Haven't read all the thread but it happened to me often when I was very overweight but now that I'm only chunky it hardly ever happens though I always check sadly

mrsgendry · 10/11/2016 21:43

It does happen to men! I had a friend at school was very proud of his arse patch. I love the term 'fanny condensation' and yes it happens - worst is at the gym!

WelshMoth · 10/11/2016 22:13

FabulouslyGlamourousFerret · 10/11/2016 22:28

I don't think I have EVER said this but ... I think this should go on classics, if only for the sheer amount of relief and solidarity it has brought to a bunch of hot fannied friends Wine

CockacidalManiac · 10/11/2016 22:29

I HATE the little chairs at school. I've described it many times before on here but they give my fanny toothache. I'm not kidding. 20 mins or so into the school play/assembly I get that nervy ache that I can only describe as being on a par with a sore tooth. After 30 mins I start going numb and have to stand up. It's even worse when you have sciatica.

RussetGusset · 10/11/2016 23:07

I agree Ferret. I loved that some posters came on telling us we have a medical problem or were abnormal and the majority were just like give it a rest. :o

Spermysextowel · 11/11/2016 05:22

op, kaelea & glasscircles

I salute you. I haven't laughed so much in ages.

alwayshappy101 · 11/11/2016 06:21

PasswordInvalid · 11/11/2016 07:37

Had parents evening this week.........

It was right there, on the chair. For all the other appointments I twisted and I slid.

monkey1978 · 11/11/2016 08:10

This thread has made me want to share something me and my oldest friend talk about to each other and no one else!
When we were in senior school and we used to have science lessons you would have to sit at the benches on a science stool, well after about 10 mins or so we used to get really itches bum cheeks and for the next hour the lessons would be awful! One day I was brave enough to tell her about this awful thing that happens to me and she turned around and said "Me too!!"
So now that phenomenon is known as "Science stool arse"
I think it was something to do with having 100 denier tights on and sitting on a fake wooden stool or something I don't really know.

FromIbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 11/11/2016 08:22

Once again all, this thread is fabulous and is getting me through a stressful week.

Reading the update each morning and evening is keeping me going and putting a smile on my face!

kazlau · 11/11/2016 09:16

I'm actually dying! This happens to me on holiday an plastic chairs but the worst chairs are the faux leather black padded ones 😳 I lift my handbag and place it on the spot of doom to buy time til it condenses away 😂😂😂

MissVictoria · 11/11/2016 09:19

High school was a nightmare for me because of the wet patch left on chairs! Every day, every lesson, every chair. Sliding didn't even always work! I resorted to jumping out of it and ramming it under the table fast as i could hoping nobody would see! I don't even get why it happened because i wasn't noticeably sweating, it happened even in winter when i was freezing, i wiped completely dry after the toilet, and i had a barrier from my panty liner (which was never wet to the touch even after the whole day of wearing) but it still happened.
I resorted to the coat on chair, but then the whole seat and chair back would have a slightly damp pattern from the material that i had no idea where it came from, the coat was dry! I was hyper vigilant of it that i'd look at other peoples chairs, and i only ever noticed it happen to anyone else a handful of times when they got up normally.

ClopySow · 11/11/2016 09:19

I don't get toothache fanny, mine gets pins and needles and goes slightly numb.

OP posts:
Rachel0Greep · 11/11/2016 09:28

I don't THINK I have this. Of course after reading the thread yesterday I glanced suspiciously at every chair that I sat in. Grin

I do remember reading a great phrase on MN to describe cramps in the backside - I usually get them around my period. I can never remember what it was though.
