Fanny condensation

On plastic chairs. Just me?

Please tell me it's not just me. It happened tonight at school parents meeting. Stood up after a nice chat with the maths teacher and there is it, the diamond shaped condensation patch of doom.

I nearly name changed because i am very embarrassed, but fuck it.

MrsDilligaf · 10/11/2016 16:45

Definitely one for classics...

I'm not sitting on a plastic chair ever again.

SapphireStrange · 10/11/2016 16:58

I practically twerk my way off any chair now

Grin

Have I told everyone on this thread I love you?

SooBee61 · 10/11/2016 17:26

Pantliners might be an idea.

(Advance apologies if it's already been mentioned in the thread. I don't have time to read 13 pages.)

Saffy38 · 10/11/2016 17:27

Mine is always a bum crack line left on the chair!! SO EMBARRASSING!! I too use the 'soft scarf/cardi' excuse 😂😂

19sharon · 10/11/2016 17:34

Is this real or a joke? I have absolutely no idea what you're all talking about. I thought I was a woman of the world, but clearly I've led a very sheltered life.

Hairylurker · 10/11/2016 17:34

Lady Spratt, if this is a fanny thing, it's anatomically impossible for it to happen top men. If it's dribbled wee, that's another thing entirely. And there was a brilliant piece about farting and fanny farts on Woman's Hour last week. Check Saturday's omnibus.

Realjournal123 · 10/11/2016 17:34

No wonder women get belittled and ridiculed by men with stupid threads like this! No - I don't, and neither do the majority of us.

PerspicaciaTick · 10/11/2016 17:40

But have you ever looked Real? You might be doomed too.
And who voted you boss of all the women?

jazmin2016 · 10/11/2016 17:43

Hahaha its happened to me after an interview and when i saw it after getting up out of the chair i was so embarrassed i actually pointed it out to the male interviewer Shock he looked and said 'oh'...still got the job though hahaha

MotherFluffer · 10/11/2016 17:44

omg, i've never had this? I can't see why because my fanjo is as juicy as any. I get all sorts of discharge but I've never had anything than blood soak through clothing. I'll be looking out for it though!!

Mindtrope · 10/11/2016 17:44

I have no idea what this thread is about. Never heard of this.

If it's sweat then clothing material/weight needs to be addressed.
Vaginal discharge- if you are staining furniture then it's a medical problem/
Urine- again a medical issue.

Sonjae · 10/11/2016 17:44

It'll stop once you get into your 40s. Then it's all downhill from there. It's like having a fanny made from sandpaper 😫

NoelHeadbands · 10/11/2016 17:48

It's NOTHING TO DO WITH SECRETIONS

It's condensation caused by hot/cold interface. Honestly people, it's just science.

Why do people have to be so odd about it? Jeez if you don't have it happen, you don't have it happen. No need to be so affronted about it.

It's not a slur on womankind

Deejoda · 10/11/2016 17:48

Fantastic thread! Hasn't happened to me and I pray it never does.
Real - this is a space for mums and a great place to speak our minds. Who gives a toss what men think? That is why they have such power over us and sexism is alive and well

Mindtrope · 10/11/2016 17:49

sonjae really? Im' 56 and haven't noticed any change.

SheWhoDaresGins2 · 10/11/2016 17:49

It's not so much a seepage Mindtroupe it's a damp/condensation/mist patch left after a hot undercarriage gets off a seat, usually a plastic or leather seat. Bit like when you put a hot pot on the bench, lift it up and the bench is wet off the condensation.

I'm going to staple silca sachets into my gusset and see if that helps Grin

Hold your horses, us men get it too. Only the back half, obvs.

SharingMichelle · 10/11/2016 17:50

I'm not sure about fanny condensation, but i once left a crack sweat puddle so awful i could never go back to that hairdresser again. Which was a shame because they were lovely, and cheap.

jazmin2016 · 10/11/2016 17:51

I shower everyday and am very clean so i know its nothing to do with hygiene, its just one of those things ladies ... I tend to my coat or cardigan over the chair before i sit down, works a treat Smile

SapphireStrange · 10/11/2016 17:52

Pantyliners don't help because it's not about secretions (someone may already have tried to tell the thread this, not that it seems to be listening Wink).

ShatnersBassoon · 10/11/2016 17:52

Well said, that woman.

Ravenesque · 10/11/2016 17:55

If anyone hasn't had it, or notice it yet. You will and you will. I don't get too embarrassed about it because I figure it's just condensation and it'll evaporate before anyone gets a good look at it. If you're worried and can't twerk your way off the chair, just stand and take a moment to shake hands, pick up your bag, make a few seconds of small talk and then move on. Your patch of doom will be long gone.

Hushabyelullaby · 10/11/2016 17:55

I used to get this and would love to have known the coping strategies. Not sure i've ever uttered these words before, but being a wheelchair user obviously has its perks Smile

ShatnersBassoon · 10/11/2016 17:55

I explained pages back that it's like putting your warm hand on a cold window. Your hand might seem to be bone dry, but you'll still see condensation. Or is that an embarrassing phenomena that women ought to shut up about too? Hmm
