Kelly1978 · 30/03/2006 13:24

Think you need to have a word with the therapist too, aren't supermarkets all bad. What happened to independant stores and farm shops selling local produce...

zippitippitoes · 30/03/2006 13:24

rofl at fairy fly flags that is

oliveoil · 30/03/2006 13:26

working class is not a badge of honour, it is a fact of life

Chill maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.

I have a council estate unbringing, an electrician dad and a cleaner mum, how many points is that on the martyr chart?

Anyone for popcorn?

WideWebWitch · 30/03/2006 13:26

pmsl at ff flag cards, ha ha ha ha! This will kick off for sure.

Blu · 30/03/2006 13:30

"you could also consider moving to a gated community to avoid such contact in future? "

Sadly MissChief, it's not that simple. Due to the ridiculous nanny-state in this country, in our area gated developments of more than a certain area or number of units are obliged to include 'social housing'. This of course is a PC euphemism for a range of anti-social types, including the working class, who get access to this kind of subsidised housing, and FF's ds could still be at risk.
Glad your DH is on his way home, ff. You must have had an awful morning.

SorenLorensen · 30/03/2006 13:32

FF, try him with these images and see which makes him drool the most...

\link{http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/recipes/images/zestyquinoa.jpg\Fig. b}

I don't want to alarm you but if it's Fig.1 you need professional help now.

WideWebWitch · 30/03/2006 13:32

ff if he explains to the airline your dh might be able to get on an earlier flight - they're very understanding about this kind of thing.

fairyfly · 30/03/2006 13:34

I have had an awful morning! My Doctor came back with some smelling salts and i've been ordered to spend a month in the priory. I can't stop crying, it all gets too much sometimes.

Don't worry, ff, we all get like that sometimes. It's only natural.

I never thought I would smack DS, but a few days ago he just ran out into the playground and almost touched a working class boy. I grabbed him and smacked his hand. I don't agree with it, but his safety HAS to come first.

zippitippitoes · 30/03/2006 13:37

there's a strong argument for a comprehensive vaccination programme

mumfor1standfinaltime · 30/03/2006 13:38

Working class dictionary-

'working class' people work for a living its that simple!
People who sit on their ass and do not work are dole scroungers, these are often confused with working class people.

Working class fact -

All new housing built has to be 30% social housing. This is meant for working class people to get onto the property ladder which they have been priced out of by doing part buy schemes. This housing is often given to those who believe they dont have to pay for it.

MadameDeMars · 30/03/2006 13:38

ff I can't believe you've actually admitted this. Surely you could have spoken "hypothetically". I don't know if I can ever reply to one of your posts again. I mean.... you say he "brushed" against the boy, but for all we know you could have been actively encouraging it. All I think is..... oh the shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shock
