Hi

this is my first post but have lurked for sometime. My 3yo DS has lost his favourite stuffed dog tonight in Blackpool and I am putting a plea out there if anyone can help me! Its a very tatty looking, sorry well loved(!) dog and we dropped it near the south pier about 7pm-long search but no joy. I am devastated and feel so sorry for him-he sobbed all the way home-as did I. I hope someone can help us.

Any suggestions how we can make him feel better tomorrow? Thinking build a bear and obviously lots of hugs but if you have been in a similar situation any ideas are more than welcome.

Many thanks in advance
Balletpump

ps-if you saw me sobbing on Blackpool front and stopped to help thank you as well x

Just saw a sold doggie on eBay, well done :-)

You can always offer to cover costs for it to be sent recorded/guaranteed

Ah, logged on first thing to see what happened and I'm so so glad. I wish I could see your ds's face when he gets his doggy back. What a lovely mummy and daddy you are Smile

ChippingInAutumnLover · 05/11/2011 11:52

It all got very confusing Confused!!

Has DS's actual doggy been found or a replacement doggy?

Honeydragon · 05/11/2011 12:14

A replacement doggy

The nasty person that the op phoned at the pier said original doggy had probably been binned Sad Angry

Thumbwitch · 05/11/2011 12:21

Rotten barstewards, binning a child's toy like that - shouldn't be allowed, that's what. Gits.

But still - good things have come out of it - FX that the new doggy arrives at the Balletpump home very soon :)

ChippingInAutumnLover · 05/11/2011 12:40

Honeydragon :(

Even as a small child I would have known it wasn't my Ted, no replacement would have appeased me.

Poor old doggy - how could anyone put something like that in the bin :( Bastards.

I get very attached to 'things' like this and it's why I stayed off the thread after my first post. It kept coming up on my 'Threads I'm On' and I saw 'Reunited' so thought he'd been found. He hasn't so they aren't being reunited. It would upset me again every time I saw replacement doggy, that it wasn't actually doggy.

However, I hope that little DSBalletPump believes it's his doggy and any changes are down to his very exciting trip he has been on :) x MNers are lovely aren't they!!

MotherPanda · 05/11/2011 13:10

Oh I'm so pleased! I was just rooting around my cupboards for my Tesco doggy, who is very similar but has no eye patch.

its this one: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CREAM-BROWN-FLOPPY-PUPPY-DOG-soft-COMFORTER-HUG-toy-TESCO-/250911404575?pt=UK_Soft_Toys_Bears&hash=item3a6b7c321f#ht_723wt_1348

I'm so happy you found a replacement, but would you like another member for your extended doggy family? I'd be more than happy to send him on to you, he's never been played with.

Still holding out that one day your doggy will find his way home :)

MotherPanda · 05/11/2011 13:12

(just thought i'd make it clear, that's not my listing - its just the same dog)

Honeydragon · 05/11/2011 13:28

I'm hoping that original dog pops up again, or at least has found a good home

Oakmaiden · 05/11/2011 13:29

I once had a teddy who got lost and was found by a passing reindeer. He had all sorts of adventures, and then Father Christmas dropped him off home on Christmas eve. He did look a bit different though -- apparently he fell in a muddy lake and Mrs Claus had to give him a bath and a magical makeover....

skinnymuffin · 05/11/2011 14:21

Fabulous news :)
