doh! crossed threads FG!

Harrogatemum · 15/03/2007 18:55

hurrah - a new thread!! Dingdong I was going to post on yours but then saw that there were 2 whole messages on this one so thought where theres more theres usually merriment!!

Baby Maddy is asleep......since 6.20pm, fingers crossed thats it for the night. Boys are having their milk and are washed and clean. FG, I took a leaf out of your book tonight and gave them some food in the bath!! Except I was bad mummy as it was Chocolate.......

DH not home yet either, not sure when he will be, he has been in Huntingdon all day.

Looking forward to your style advice FTrinnyG........can you please do some for me too, 5 foot 11, size 12, long legs and NO bosom, I dont know why I'm even allowed on this thread..........

Harrogatemum · 15/03/2007 18:56

talking of ample bosoms - DH often likes to tell other people about when we met and were having a sneaky snog in the corner of a nightclub......he kept trying to grope me and I kept pushing him away. It was only some time later that I told him it was because I was so embarassed as I was wearing a heavily padded bra.........sigh.

frumpygrumpy · 15/03/2007 19:08

start with something like this

or this

I have a ruched top and its excellent for both gently holding you in and disguising the tummy. Karen Millen do great ones but are expensive (worth it though as they are extremely well made and will see you through years).

add something like this if you don't want to show too much arm but don't button it

or this

add trousers, I'd do cream but black would do too

a necklace this colour is good but longer would be better. If it falls just between or below the boobs, no-one can keep their eyes off the sway thus no-one looks at your dodgy arse/tummy/thighs.

right colour but would also need to be longer

add this and this together and don't make everything match or you'll look too 'done'

you need red shoes and bag to accompany the necklance and earrings thus all attention comes to the accessories, I still love the boden ones you chose, but if they're too high they also do a red slingback. Nine West are good for kitten heels too.

Sorry you have a period tummy. They are a bastard. S'cuse my language.

wow fg you have been busy! Thank you very much, I will peruse them at my leisure, once I've sewn DH's button on (interview tomorrow) and got myself a glass of wine...

Harrogatemum · 15/03/2007 19:34

FG - love the second top, may have to buy it........NOOOOOOOOOOOO what have you done!!

frumpygrumpy · 15/03/2007 19:36

I love it too and its fully lined which means it will hide every little bump. I fancy it with cream trousers.......why don't we all get one, y'know, for the schmeet up that I'm not going to

ok am now settled with wine, nuts, tv, credit card...am thinking I can fantasy shop online, get it all delivered next week, then if it doesn't work I still have shopping time with normal shape stomach

I have a [proud mummy] moment to share...shopping today, waitrose in Durham, DTs 'helping' to push trolley, I stop to look at healthy nuts (as opposed to the unhealthy variety I'm on at the mo) which are next to the pulses etc...DT2 says 'what's this mummy?' I say 'oh that's couscous, we don't need any, we have some already' 'but mummy I really like couscous, can we have it for tea please?' and wouldn't shut up about it for the next 20 mins round the shop...bless her (sadly I forgot by the time we got home and had to do some serious cajoling at teatime when she got sausage and mash instead of couscous )

dingdongjustforyoufg · 15/03/2007 19:39

am also loving the second top, sadly not in my size on site, so will have to venture out...

tkband3 · 15/03/2007 20:04

Oooh a new thread, how exciting.

FG, I love all the ideas for dingdong...looking forward to seeing the final outfit dingdong.

I can only dream of an ample bosom - biggest I got to was whilst breastfeeding at 36D...now back down to a mere C. .

estar - have not yet congratulated you on your news. V. exciting for you, looking forward to hearing news of your scan.

Can I just say GRRRRRRRRR and AAAAAGH. Have had shitty day. Spent morning in outpatient clinic to have a mole on my shoulder looked at. My GP had referred me and I found out from the clinic when I rang to change the appt that she had marked the referral as v. urgent, so I've been worrying a lot over the past week. Turns out it was just an enlarged freckle (?) so nothing to worry about. You might think that would have put me in a good mood, but I seem to be v. low and fed up this week - must be anti-climax after the w/e. Anyway, have been awful, nasty, shouty mummy this afternoon mainly to DD1 who is driving me mad with whining and not eating. Then again, have just remembered her friend (who we saw on Saturday) came down with chicken pox on Tuesday eve, so must remember to check her for spots in the morning.

Anyway, just had to get that off my (not ample) chest. Not looking for any sympathy and sorry to interrupt a fun evening for everyone...OH is out so am now going to cook myself my favourite pasta and sit down in front of ER to cheer myself up . Then again, I might get my credit card out and get one of those tops. I do like FG's idea of us all wearing the same one to a meet-up .

BTW HM - did you get my email? Have finally found that letter if you still need it. Am v. for being so crap.

dingdongjustforyoufg · 15/03/2007 21:02

ok, I have had lots of fun (so much so that I am still on my first glass of wine ) I have ordered this with some of the jewellery fg suggested and this would love to get the second top but need to find it in the shop I guess

your day sounds crap tkb, glass of wine? I still have plenty left

dingdongjustforyoufg · 15/03/2007 21:04

hey FG, do you sound like carol smillie too?

frumpygrumpy · 15/03/2007 22:02

dingdong, I am loving your trousers Now get monster shoes and a cleavage revealing dramatic top. Gorgeous.

Love the thread title! Time to read!

Kelly1978 · 16/03/2007 11:08

I didn?t know zara did long trousers HM, what size to they go up to? I?m a bit of a fatty.
I got a catalogue through for /link{http://www.joebrowns.co.uk/Joe Browns} yesterday, some of their skirts are lovely, I might have to get some bits for summer.

Well done with the French TMA mars. I got a letter through today about revision tips today. I still haven?t started ? aargh!!

Wow triplets, there must be so many memories. I don?t seem to be able to stay anywhere longer than a year! I think the move will be good for you all though, taking the positive forwards. That pram sounds gorgeous, I?d have loved one like that!

I?m Very of all this discussion of huge norks. Mars, can I nick some of yours ? you have more than enough to go around? I think I?m a b or a c, but I?ve never actually been measured and I only have two bras that are actually comfortable so I really should do. I don?t have the flappy belly problem though ? mine is still nicely stuffed.

at all those cakes! You are a good mummy largegin! I never make cakes for the school.
Ours had to wear something red. So I dutifully dressed them up and off I went, and saw loads of kids in school uniform. I panicked, thought I had got the day wrong and turned round to go home. Luckily I did spot a few wearing red before I got all the way home again but we were very late.

FG, I refuse to work once the kids are in bed! I run around like mad before bedtime tidying up etc. and that is it, no way will I ever be caught cleaning or ironing in the evening. It?s the only thing that saves my sanity.

I?m loving this nice weather, we?ve hardly been home. I?ve been cooking and tidying in the afternoon so we don?t have to rush back for tea. The dts have been eating their dinner in the buggy at the park! At least it was jambalaya and not sausage rolls, so not tooo chavvy I?m only home now because I have to wait for a courier.

And?we?re off to Nice at Easter. No children allowed - I cannot wait! We so need the break after the stressful times we?ve had lately.

Just went I thought I had caught up with it all?.two new threads! I?ve been writing all this in word cos there was so much to read! I don?t even have ample bossoms, you lot are just rubbing it in now!

Tkband, glad the freckle wasn?t anything serious, and hope you are feeling better today. Have a {{{{hug}}}} anyway

Love the outfit so far dingdong, looks very sophisticated!

Kelly1978 · 16/03/2007 11:09

Yikes, went a bit crazy witht he smilies!

Kelly1978 · 16/03/2007 12:32

Had to share this - ds1 came out of school today, very proud of the 'onion ring' he had made me for mother's day!! ahem, that would be a napkin ring!

Harrogatemum · 16/03/2007 13:27

Kelly - they go up to what they call a UK size 16, personally I think its more of a UK size 14.

Tkb - sorry I havent replied to you yet re the whole job thing...been busy but will do it today!!

Kelly1978 · 16/03/2007 13:34

lol, no chance for me then! I do have a couple of tops from there, but no way is a 14 going over my hips.

frumpygrumpy · 16/03/2007 13:37

Bless his heart Kelly, thats adorable!

My dd1 saved me a tic tac yesterday. I said that was very sweet of her. Once it was in my mouth she told me she'd accidentally popped it in her own mouth for a little bit but had wiped it dry again. Lovely I didn't ask where she wiped it.

tkband3 · 16/03/2007 14:04

No rush HM, it's me that's been slow...just wanted to check the email hadn't got lost in the blueyonder ether .

Feeling a bit better today. Just getting fed up with every meal with DD1 becoming a battle ground. She says she's not hungry and has had enough, so she gets down and then 30 mins later says she's hungry and wants something to eat. So new regime today. She eats at mealtimes - if she doesn't want it, then fine, but nothing until the next mealtime. See how long my willpower lasts for this one . My problem is, with her history, I just want her to eat!

Love the trousers dingdong...would go beautifully with one of those lovely tops FG found.

Didn't get back on here last night...treated myself to 2 episodes of Desperate Housewives as OH wasn't here and had a v. fattening pudding of chocolate cake, ice cream and strawberries instead of the glass of wine. Oh well, I'll be good today .

dingdongjustforyoufg · 16/03/2007 15:26

afternoon ladies

DH had job interview today, didn't get it, so he's home early adn a bit but I have persuaded him its better not to have to work harder as he can spend more quality time with his lovely family not sure if I convinced him

have just made nigella's choc orange cake which DH loves (to cheer him up), some cauliflower and almond soup, have lasagne on the go and am about to make a curry for tomorrow night, not sure what's come over me

Kelly, I find Zara clothes on the skinny side personally

Harrogatemum · 16/03/2007 16:19

oooh dingdong which Nigella book is it from, sounds yum......

The other week I made beef stroganoff, curry and chicken casserole simultaneously, must be something in the water up here.

dingdongjustforyoufg · 16/03/2007 19:01
