Fab news Kelly! And Estar - bet you are relieved about just the one!!

My big news of the day, have booked Wiggles Tickets for Nottingham for 10th June!! Hooray! I cant wait! My best friend thinks I am nuts to be so excited......its a bit of a way to go (80 miles?) but its the only one on a weekend so DH can come too. Have told the DTs but they dont understand. Bet they will understand when we get there - personally I cant wait to see Anthony strutting his stuff on stage, he can wiggle for me any time!

HM - sorry, but I must call you a freak. The Wiggles scare me a LOT. If I was a three year old child I would have run a mile. But whatever lights your fire....

Anybody watch '10 kids and counting' last night on 5? All my lovely 'Cheaper by the Dozen' fantasies are now shattered and I am DEFINATELY having no more after this one! Who wants to spead every waking hour washing clothes and breaking up fights? I love big families, but I was exhausted just watching it!

Rollie · 20/03/2007 12:37

(Deep breath)
Hello you lovelies!!!
You all seem to know each other really well, hope there's room in your lovely bosoms for me too!!!
Happy belated mother's day to all!!

Kelly1978 · 20/03/2007 13:42

Welcome rollie, I'm the one without the ample bosoms, but there is defo plenty of room in mars.

I missed that estar, sounds like it was good too.

I find the wriggles very weird but strangely compelling. The boys quite like it but I think it's too freaky for the older two. We going to the live scooby doo show good friday with dd and ds1, that'll be the first time we've ever taken them to anything like that. There is a Thomas one which I quite fancy for the boys.

Harrogatemum · 20/03/2007 13:51

Hi and welcome rollie! Kelly is wrong, her bosoms are v ample compared to mine. I may start a thread called "whose norks are the smallest" on the multiples thread. I WILL WIN HANDS DOWN!!

Estar - I am devastated that you think I am a freak for loving the Wiggles.........surely some of the other Multiple Mums must be loving them.......doesnt Anthony make you DROOL????

Maybe I have spent too much time in front of them........still cant contain my excitement. Where's Jeeeeffffff???

Kelly1978 · 20/03/2007 15:34

jeff has left hasn't he?
My norks are only bigger because I'm fat, hm! If I wasn't overweight you'd def have competition for the smallest norks.

Harrogatemum · 20/03/2007 15:53

Kelly, you need to get your Wiggles info right.....its Greg who has left due to ill health. Jeff is still well and truly a wiggle!!

Had the day from hell here - all up since 5.30am, got a stinking cold, shattered and had the DTs and baby all day inside as the weather cant decide what its doing and also got workmen here fitting new windows. Oh FG, these ones are not as good as the last ones, one of them has pissed all over my ensuite floor.......nice.

Kelly1978 · 20/03/2007 15:57

Ok, I confess, I don't have a clue which is which! It'll be like the tellyubbies - took me two years to get them right!

MarsLady · 21/03/2007 00:00

Brief wave hello before bed!

Hi Rollie. Always room for one more.

Tell us about yourself. Here have a slice of lemon drizzle cake and a nice cuppa to get you started. If it is late when you are reading this... forget the tea and jump straight in with the gin!

largeginandtonic · 21/03/2007 11:07

Hello all, hope you all had lovely mothers day's. I was bought brekkie in bed, toast cut in to heart shapes....so sweet.

Baby being very naughty, he is breech most of the time. Am thinking of keeping him that way as i think as Mars is soooo desperate to see a natural breech birth, she may be my doula wherever i am.....

Im totally prepared for a natural breech birth > He may still turn, am 33 weeks, plenty of time.

Hope you are all well, Kelly the kids crocs are FAB! I saw them in office a few weeks ago and thought they would be excellent for little feet, so light. I want some bright pink ones, no laces\buckles etc....heaven when you cant see your feet Great news on the social workers butting out too, about blardy time.

The wiggles.....ds#4 not sure at all, me neither really. Prefer Charlie and Lola He prefers Doctor Who and Horrid Henry, he is only 2!!!!!!

Rollie · 21/03/2007 13:01

Mmmmm lemon drizzle cake!!!!!
Thanks that were grand!!
What do you want to know? Erm I'm Rollie, married to Ash, we have nearly three year old twin girls Amelia and Embeth (id or not who knows!!) and a greedy baby boy called Cassidy who's ten months.
I live and work in Glasgow, I love Bombay Sapphire with tonic and a slice of lime, and for some reason I'm into cava at the moment!!! It might be since New year and we invented a drink featuring said cava, pimms and lemonade!!! Yummy! I also love shoes, chocolate cake, musicals and crappy euro-horror films.

Hope your bubba turns in time Largeginandtonic!!

I'm not up on the wiggles although we did go and see the Fimbles live last year and it was splendid! (What has my life become?!)

Anything else anyone wants to know feel free to ask!! Well within reason!

mwah!

frumpygrumpy · 21/03/2007 13:09

strawberry2 needs us, I've asked her in

OP posts:
frumpygrumpy · 21/03/2007 13:34

I had a regular door breech birth with DT2. Was totally fine, but then I had excellent midwives at that moment and also I guess DT1 had paved the way It was weird, DP telling me he could see his bum and me knowing the head was yet to arrive

HM, you and me both honey. On two counts.

(1) workmen. Novelty in week 1, pissed off as hell in week 6. I have had phone calls at 7.15am, piss and poo in my loo constantly, cups a plenty left on the bunker 'washed', doors left open in the freezing cold, I shut them, they open them, repeat, repeat, repeat, my hall carpet looks like the flooring in a zoo due to no-one taking responsibilty to lay a dust sheet (they all have them at their own bits but why not the bit they share? ) YIKES - LISTEN TO ME!!!!! Lets breathe out and move on to.......

(2) *THE WIGGLES**

I adore The Wiggles. I admit I didn't know where to look when I first saw them, but now, I think they are top class. I have a passion for Anthony (he has a twinkle in the right place) but its Captain Feathersword that does it for me. DT2 also adores Cpt Feathersword and has the kit. I like the Captains reckless, carefree abandon and would happily let him land his jolly roger in the port that was most handy.

OP posts:
Harrogatemum · 21/03/2007 14:18

oh FG - I agree - the Captain does have a certain je ne sais quoi, doesnt he? I am so excited about seeing them live, more than the DTs I think.....sad but true. Anyway, my workmen have just left, they fitted double glazing to my house (4 bed detached) in 2.5 days, including front and back door, I am flabbergasted that it was done so quick!

Rollie - you sound like our kind of gal - choc cake, gin, its all good. And I have the DTs plus one like you, only in reverse, got twin boys aged 2 years 4 months and baby girl aged 4 months (where did those 4 months go?? It feels like yesterday when I was whinging on to the ladies on here about my never ending contractions!!)

tkband3 · 21/03/2007 14:28

Hello all

Have just read your first post FG - wish I'd found you all way back then...I was struggling with tiny babies at that point. Kelly - your two and mine must be really close in age, as I saw your post that yours were 3.5 weeks at that time. Have you had a birthday recently, or one v. soon?

Re workmen - we had a load of work done on our house last year and I managed to time it for when my mum was on holiday so we decamped to hers for the worst bit. Strangely though, when they did the downstairs bathroom, they never went upstairs so I have no idea where they peed or pooed and I don't really want to think about it now!

I had a lovely mother's day...started with flowers on the saturday, so I sort of thought that was it. Then had a lie-in till 9.10 on the day - longest in nearly 4 years - and then had a lovely card from each of the girls and another from OH (he'd written 'oh well another year, and still no son...' ) and some beautiful new tops as pressies which weren't from Sainsburys or Tescos (where I usually get my clothes). Then lunch out with my mum and her OH which was lovely and all the girls behaved beautifully and ate really well.

estar - bit late but good news on the scan. Hope your sister is ok.

rollie - welcome...to the madhouse .

largegin - have you tried acupuncture? I've heard that it's really effective for turning babies.

and I'm sorry - can't get the attraction of the wiggles...OH has banned them from the house after being particularly disturbed by a preview of them on another DVD and I can't say I'm too upset although I'm not sure that the weird songs DVD my DB gave DT1 for her birthday isn't worse .

MarsLady · 21/03/2007 17:02

Gosh that took me back! Were my DTs really that young?

Oh happy days

tkband3 · 21/03/2007 20:04

Well I have just had an interesting couple of hours . Talking of weird children's tv - has anyone caught the new programme on cbeebies towards bedtime - In the Night Garden? We watched it for the first time tonight...first of all it scared DT1 and made her cry so I sat down with her and watched with them. It's completely bizarre - must be made by the same people that came up with the teletubbies. But they all loved it...made them laugh out loud and dance around. Then it finished - which made DT2 cry and then DT1 had a tantrum about it for half an hour...shrieking, sobbing and screaming 'higgle piggle' (name of one of the weird creatures). I kept saying 'you can watch it tomorrow' but she would not be consoled.

Wouldn't be surprised if 'higgle piggle' were her first words in the morning...not sure if I'll let them watch it again if that's the reaction . For those of you who haven't been lucky enough to catch this check out the game on here .
