ash, welcome, welcome, I feel we have much to learn from you

lg&t, heifer schmeifer my ass. You are already stunning! I looked! Its in the accessories and the make up and the hair and the smile. The rest is by the by. Monsoon always come up with winners and if you have extra budget then Karen Millen (although I'd never get bottom halves there for my lard ass) do most amazing tops, well made and make silk out of sack. Really, just feel happy with your hair and make up on the day and you feel fantastic. Even old crabbit frumps like me

I knew I could count on you all, have I had a nice day?????????????? Do we mums expect too much I am wondering? Husband snorting all night with rotten cold, up at 6.30am to get a head start as I would need extra time before school to open cards and pressies, dong!!!!!!!!!!!Still shouting at trio to get up at 8am, finally all staggering downstairs sockless, all start pushing and shoving arguing over whose present I will open first. All that took three mins, then they pick up their Nintendos and leave and are not seen again until 8.50am as we leave for school. On we go to Canterbury as other half had not bought me a present so I could choose my own! On the Park and Ride bus I am given money. We split up and meet at 11am for coffee, I had bought a t shirt for DD. We split up and meet for lunch, a real treat, I am bought a toasted sandwich and a cup of tea, I have bought nothing. We leave at 2pm for school, home for tea and cake which had been made by DD with a little help from me! Then its off to their swimming lesson at 5pm, home at 6.45pm, picking up a Chinese on the way. Husband has shower, I warm food and lay table. Husband rounds up kids, then the phone rings, then rings again, my travelling girlfriends singing happy birthday, made me laugh. All now banging forks waiting for supper, we sit down at 8.pm, door bell goes, another friend with sweet present, all now fed up arounf the table. Supper then more or less abandoned, everyone grumpy, so I go to my room with my parcel from my best friend to open it on my own. Bliss. Phone her up to say thank you, we have a heart to heart fro 2 hours, kids shouted at and sent to bed, I then get on here for some moral support! But all is not bad, just had e-mail from my niece to say she has just found out today she is pregnant, her 3rd ivf attempt, so that makes up for everything!! Tomorrow will be another day!

triplets · 22/03/2007 23:40

Morning ladies - any suggestions for getting Sudocreme out of a frying pan? Alternatively does anyone have any Sudocreme stir fry recipes?

xx

Harrogatemum · 23/03/2007 08:49

rosmerrin - what on earth happened???? Did one of the DTs decide they wanted a Sudocrem omelette?

Anyway, yes I do have a recipe for Sudocreme - take one small scoop of Sudocreme, mix with a teaspoon of Metanium and add a sprinkling of athletes foot powder. Mix and serve with pasta (NB do not try this at home kids!!)

Kelly - can you remind me how to resize photos, I want to put some pics of the DTs and baby (and....shock, maybe me) on my profile page, but they are too big. I cant use the Microsoft Image Resizer as my laptop is a works one and it wont let me download it but I know I've done it before a way that you told me........?

piximon · 23/03/2007 11:02

Kelly-Happy Birthday to your twins. The photos look fab and I'd love to know how you did them.

HM-You didn't say where the hotel is, I guess local to you? I'd have them if you were anywhere near SE London.

The piximinis are all doing well. DTs look huge now and I can't believe tomorrow they'll be 12 weeks, where did the time go?
DD1 has been offered a nursery place four times a week after Easter. It's for free under a new scheme being piloted by the Govenment for 2-3 yr olds. A few weeks later my student will start and life will hopefully get easier.

Have decided to postpone moving till the summer. DH can check out the area first and give me time to pack all our stuff up and have a good clear out.

His promotion means we get less tax credits so we're barely better off.
I struggle through the week more or less alone, the older two constantly bickering and the twins needing more attention then I can give them. According to The Mail we'd be so much better off if either we split up or DH gave up working. Knowing that hardly makes it easier to stick together and work through any problems.

On top of everything else my DB (34)has a twisted spine and arthritis which has flared up so bad that he can now barely walk. The hospital have sent him home as they can do nothing more than pain killers. Social services say he is our (the family) responsibility. My dad is in and out of hospital and not been the same since his almost fatal brain haemorrage last year, my mum lives an hour away and works full time and social services don't think I have enough on my plate and say I should be looking after him.

Feeling throughly fed up today. Sorry for moaning just don't have anyone else to unload to.

Harrogatemum · 23/03/2007 11:23

Hi pixi - yes its the White Swan in Pickering in NOrth YOrkshire! And dont worry about venting on here,we all do it!

Happy Birthday to Kelly's DTs by the way!!

dingdongjustforyoufg · 23/03/2007 11:57

Harrogatemum · 23/03/2007 12:28

great news HM, enjoy

the trousers have arrived from monsoon and I will have to do some serious sit ups and eat nothing naughty for 2 weeks if I'm to wear them or maybe I'll get something else instead

MarsLady · 23/03/2007 16:09

I'm so glad HM! Have a wonderful night... and.... well I'm sure you know what the and is! lol

FG that was wicked! lol

Kelly..... HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOYS!

piximon · 23/03/2007 16:33

Ok have cheered up now. It's not really in my nature to stay miserable for long.

HM-I'm so pleased for you.

Mars- the LDC has proved so popular with my family that I've been given a food processor (dad) and hand mixer (mum) to encourage me to keep cooking.

DS1 brought home a baking book from nursery and we've been trying out the recipes. We made banana (monkey) bread which looks delicious but as I'm allergic to bananas I can't try it out.

FG-you are very naughty!

MarsLady · 23/03/2007 16:48

So glad to hear it Pixi!

I'll be down your way on Tuesday. If I have time I'll pop in (I'll be in Greenwich)

rosmerrin · 23/03/2007 17:22

Okay - sudocreme now removed from frying pan but we have double chickenpox as of this morning (the DTs) and Im waiting to see if DS3 gets it too. You may be hearing a lot from me over the coming week if we are not allowed out. Anyone have any suggestions on getting through this without killing anyone???

Help ......

piximon · 23/03/2007 18:27

Mars-fingers crossed you can fit us in. I still have your containers and you have my towel so we can swap.

rosmerrin-you never said how the sudocream and frying pan met?

Really looking forward to tomorrow. My good friend is bringing over her 2wk old baby for us to meet. He was much longed for (I think about 5 years) so I'm thrilled she's now a mum too.

Am in awe of the twin mum with 8, I've always wanted 6 and thought that was a lot...

ShowOfHands · 23/03/2007 19:37

Just wondered if you could all think lots of positive, don't give birth thoughts for LG&T. She's been in hospital today while they try and stop contractions/mature the baby's lungs just in case.

Apologies if you already know this and sorry to hijack- I know she has lots of friends on multiples.

That woman does not do things by halves.

dingdongjustforyoufg · 23/03/2007 19:50

thanks for letting us know showofhands we will be thinking of her and sending positive vibes her way

Harrogatemum · 23/03/2007 19:52

cheers showofhands...hope LG&T is ok, think she has about 7 weeks to go? Does that sounda bout right?? Big hugs and kisses to LG&T from the Harrogatemum household

xxxxxxxxxx

dingdongjustforyoufg · 23/03/2007 20:01

I think that's right HM, the poor thing, just when she thought it as all sorted for going to plymouth too...
