Ok I realise this should really be in Big/slim etc but I prefer it over here!

When I moan about my hugeness, friends say 'but you've had (pause) two babies' - my twins are nearly 8 months old so can really no longer be used as an excuse for the fact I'm at least two stone overweight.

PLEASE join me if any of you twin/more mums have flab to lose this year... I could do with the moral support. Anyone up for it?
I'm planning to do lowish-carb, kind of like SW red days I think. Could probably do with a clearer plan really.

hi all. I've been hiding from the thread due to m diet efforts being pretty poor.
I lost the pound I gained but havne't lost anymore.

so still 10stone10lbs.

Lottie well done on 3lb loss!!!

tartiflette · 27/02/2011 07:37

2lb off this morning Smile

Current: 166
Target: 147
Loss: 10

How are you all? MM stop hiding. And I would love to be 10st10!

OP posts:
smokeybacon · 27/02/2011 12:42

Like MM I've been hiding too.
After my intial success of a 4lb loss, nothing lost in past ten days. I am LCing with my meals, but I simply cannot stay off the cake! Alcohol I can avoid (6 days out of 7) but cake is a real problem.

tarti thats fantastic work from you! 10lbs gone. Well done. Are you still doing the Idiot Proof Diet?

I am away for a girls weekend skiing next thursday so it will be impossible to LC from Thurs to Sun (potato, wine and cake will all be on the menu) as will some snowboarding too to burn it all off. And then I think I will go back to the beginning of India and Nerys and do phase one again.

LL how did your weekend go?

smokey yes I'm still doing IPD although have stopped worrying about things like milk in coffee and become a bit alert to ridiculous amounts of fat where it's not really necessary. Don't be disheartened by your 10 day stall - I had nearly 2 weeks with no loss despite being fairly militant. I think it might be a feature of this way of eating that it comes off in 'clumps'. Plus you have less to lose than me don't you?
Know what you mean about cake, I can't let myself have any at all as I have absolutely no control/stop mechanism. Think that's why this kind of diet suits me as I find it easier to just ban stuff completely than eat it in moderation.

lottie Brora treats sound delightful. I went shopping yesterday but came back empty handed as couldn't make myself buy anything 'in-between sizes' - worried it would give me an excuse to stop at this weight... leaves me with a somewhat interesting work wardrobe for starting back tomorrow!

Yes I have a range of snotstainedleggings deeply expensive and stylish loungewear.

3 days: good point about needing less outfits.

Am having DH's chilli for tea. He's gone way overboard on the chilli so I will also need yoghurt with, plus maybe a sprinkling of cheese. Mmmm. Not terribly low-carb really what with the kidney beans.

OP posts:
smokeybacon · 01/03/2011 16:40

Hmm loungewear. Am still wearing my maternity new look slob pants. Perhaps I should check out Brora. Am not familiar with it. Assume expensive.

How was the chilli tarti? Did you pick out the kidney beans? Are they not packed with protein or am I getting my food groups mixed up?

ANyway, 1lb loss here. In 10 days. Rubbish.

tarti - arf at snot stained leggings - everything I wear is snot stained within 5 minutes - how do they manage it?

Have not bothered the scales with my presence this week, I know I'll put on weight next week (away at in-laws), so am hoping it'll even itself out so I don't look like I've gained weight iyswim.

Brora sounds lovely, I can't imagine wearing cashmere though - even for work! The nursery pick up results in snotty work clothes, couldn't bear snotty cashmere!

I work 3 days a week too, and one of those is dress down Friday, so only 2 'professional businesswoman' outfits for me Grin

tartiflette · 03/03/2011 15:54

That's a good idea Ophelia about not weighing yourself this week when you know there'll be a gain next week - love the psychology of that I don't know why I've never thought of it!

Feet hurting from pretending to be a working woman this week. I say pretending as I have in fact done veerrrrrry little... easing myself back in, you know Wink
Wonder if heels hurt less when you are thin?

Lottie I keep meaning to ask are you still doing Dukan or are you just generally low-carbing now?
I could do with knowing what everyone is eating, am lacking in inspiration these days...

Do you know I sometimes find the morning after a bit of booze I am actually down a little bit (weight-wise I mean!!) - can't explain it but it's usually the case.

Anyway just popping in to say hi, weigh day is tomorrow for me. Well done LL, nearly 12lb is fab.

1lb lost this week. Sloooooooow progress. Want to be thin NOW please. Unfortunately I appear to have had a scone with jam and cream this afternoon. It wasn't my fault.

Can't believe that loss Lottie it's amazing. Re. toning I'd imagine it'll have to be a combo of exercise and couldn't hurt to do some heavy duty moisturising - some sort of oil might help with skin which has been stretched then un-stretched iyswim... in the manner of bio oil and other similar. I'm no expert, having lost and regained the same 2-3 stone countless times throughout my life I think my skin has given up. I would settle for looking good with clothes ON. Grin

Yes you're right shouldn't scoff, just get on with it. Am just impatient for some new clothes. Having broken through the 12 stone barrier it now looks a long way down to the next one.

Hey ho, at least the diet itself doesn't feel too much like hardship.

Anyone there?!

I've shifted another 2lb this week. Ironic since I have slightly fallen off the low-carb wagon, but suppose I haven't really eaten loads.

Current: 163
Target: 147
Lost: 13

Have you started the Shred Lottie? I still can't be arsed doing any exercise to speak of, aside from the odd walk.

Well done tarti!

Well so much for trying to not gain weight in Germany - I put on about 3lbs Blush. And that was while I was actually trying not to overeat!

So I'm now back over 11 stone, sigh.

I've got the Shred DVD too, but someone on chat said it almost made them sick trying to do it, which has scared me a bit as I'm so unfit at the moment. I think I'll try the first 10 minutes and ease myself in gently Grin.

tartiflette · 21/03/2011 20:04

Current: 162
Target: 147

Love that dress! Specially the stone colour, very now with the fluoro belt. Hm yes let's mull it over we will need a selection to choose from, will have a think and do some links tomorrow. Deeply jealous at the idea of a wedding in Portugal.

Yes that 'thing' you describe is exactly what's happened with me. I think subconsciously I'm aware we're going away this weekend and having a lovely dinner out on Saturday so in my idiotic way I'm thinking might as well wait until after that to get stuck in again.
