Ok I realise this should really be in Big/slim etc but I prefer it over here!

When I moan about my hugeness, friends say 'but you've had (pause) two babies' - my twins are nearly 8 months old so can really no longer be used as an excuse for the fact I'm at least two stone overweight.

PLEASE join me if any of you twin/more mums have flab to lose this year... I could do with the moral support. Anyone up for it?
I'm planning to do lowish-carb, kind of like SW red days I think. Could probably do with a clearer plan really.

Oh dear, the midweek scales are not being kind... shall ignore until Sunday. Not feeling slimmed down in the same way as I did last week but I suppose I can't expect another mammoth loss so soon.

How's everyone doing? I went out for dinner on Tuesday and didn't find it as easy as I'd expected - everything came with some sort of carb and when I asked to substitute with salad I was told they couldn't do that as the potatoes/whatever were 'integral to the dish' - ffs! The only thing they would put salad with was a kind of poshed up chicken breast/burger but it still came with a delicious looking ciabatta bun which I then had to try not to look at for the duration of the meal... We had antipasti for starters which was fine. Will have to check menus in advance in future as it nearly brought on a wobble.

smokey forgot to ask your question about did I cheat last week - I don't think I did actually. I did a bit the previous week but lost nowt so I upped the ante last week and was pretty strict. However I am being super strict this week and not feeling the benefit so go figure!

Ah, if it's your time of the month then it must be nearly mine Lottie - I seem to remember we were synched up last month... have stopped keeping track since the DTs were born Blush

Sending you virtual-mojo vibes. Not that I have any myself you understand.

Bad night with twin 2 last night so feel the need for chocolate. So have had some. Sorry.

LL if you are down a couple of pounds then thats good!!

I should put in my stats really I suppose.

Start weight: 12stone 2lb
Target weight: 11 stone
Weight loss so far: 4 lb
Current weight: 11 stone 12lb ( as of this morning)

Feel quite pleased with this. Only quite mind as I expected a bit more but I guess as I have "only" a stone and a bit to go, the loss isn't going to be as dramatic as if I had more to do.

Am going to have a drink tonight. Sod it.

None off this week, boooo. There was the afternoon tea debacle last weekend I suppose. And I did have 3 glasses of fizz last night.
Still a bit cheesed off about it as I've been strict otherwise. Got my period so will blame that. Really want to shift another half stone before I go back to work on 1st march - that's my mini target.

yo. Weighday tomorrow but anticipate a gain as have eaten and drunk like proverbial pig all weekend.

OpheliaBumps · 14/02/2011 12:40

Oh dear. I've gained a pound. It wasn't a big surprise, due to various circumstances (mainly my laziness, but also spent y'day with DTD with tummy bug, so no time to cook due to DTD's ability to cling limpet like to me all day) we had 3 takeaways in the last week.

Sigh. Must try harder.

tartiflette · 14/02/2011 14:01

Mmmmmmm 3 takeaways..............

MUST LOSE SOME WEIGHT THIS WEEK. Am starting to wobble about whether LCing is the way forward. Stupid as it's only a 1 week stall but still so frustrating. Apparently I can't cheat AT ALL if I'm to lose any.

Lottie thanks for the pep talk, really need it at the moment I can feel myself losing momentum! Have been sticking to it (with bit of booze over weekend but they do say I'm allowed a tiny bit) but just don't feel it's working. Hopefully will suddenly start coming off again as you say.

5lb in ten days is a good target I'd say!

OK let's do it. Am going to keep an eye on calories/portion sizes as something has clearly not been working for the last 10 days or so. And I am still overweight enough (prob 2 stone) that I'd have thought it should be coming off reasonably easily.

Hope everyone else is doing better!

Yes if in doubt don't weigh, nothing worse than seeing the wrong number!

OP posts:
OpheliaBumps · 21/02/2011 12:33

Well done tarti! It's lovely to see the numbers fall isn't it Grin

Well, despite a chocolate brownie catastrophe (I made DH some amazing brownies for Valentine's Day, but managed to eat a large proportion of them myself) I managed to lose the pound I gained last week, so I'm really pleased, as I did eat a lot of brownies Grin

Lottie I know what you mean about socialising - I don't want to look rude by drinking water/not eating with guests, so am struggling at the moment as we're busy every weekend.

We've also got a week with the in-laws coming up, and despite my attempts to at least say it in German, my MIL doesn't understand 'Nein, danke, ich bin sat' (excuse poor spelling, it's nearly as bad as my pronunciation) Grin

lottie well done - 3lbs off, that's excellent!

My PILs are german, DH moved here in 2001 (I knew him then, but we weren't together - we got together in 2002).

We are friends with a Swiss couple, DH met the wife in Ireland of all places! We plan to visit them next year and going walking together - would have gone this year but they've recently had a prem baby so they've got enough on their plates at the moment.
