Hi everyone

Am not going to make it on Saturday I have crippling toothache and had some root canal work done today. Dentist can't give me good ab's to kill the infection off as i am still bfing so my jaw is swollen and in awful pain. Am likely to remain like this till next Tuesday when she does the rest of the treatment.

Was so looking forward to meering you all in RL.Hopefully next time?

hi Agalch - so sorry about the tooth.I had problems at the end of my pregnancy. Fortunately paracetamoltook the pain off enough so I could get to sleep until it got fixed. Hope you get it sorted soon and that the painkillers work for you till then.
Thanks Pretty bird - I'll get dh to come along. We've only been in Edinburgh two weeks and everything is new to us and great - but tiering. If ds throws a wobbler dh can have him!

Hi Agalch you could try your G.p for antibiotics as they can prescribe much more than dentists and would know whats safe iwhen breastfeeding.
This sounds a good meet up.
I'd like to come(am zoo member)but probably having to work although have asked for it off as have night out with my DS's playgroup mums.

Agalch - I was going to say the same as Babyramone - there are plenty of antibiotics that can be taken while you are bf and even GPs (let alone dentisits) sometiomes aren't knowledgeable or confident enough so err on the side of caution.

I think it is Dr Hale who has the defnitive reference book on what is safe. Go on to the breast feeding board and ask the question - soomeone on there, eg Tiktok, will be able to advise you.

I had a massive infection 2 weeks after ds was born, was hopitalised and on IV antibiotics - and still encouraged to continue to bf. i was back in the manternity hosptial, so they knew hwat they were doing.

We've used a "character" Helium baloon in the past, which worked. Any chance you can get hold of/buy one before Saturday and tell us what it is so that we can look at for you.

Your ds is a bit young to properly appreciate it, so if you get something like the Incredibles or some other Disney character, I'm sure my ds would be delighted if I bought it off you!

How come I have only seen this thread two days before the event? Typical, I would have come, but we have plans for this weekend.

We are moving back to Edinburgh too! Yippee. We moved to West Lothian as we were both working out here, but now DH is working in Edinburgh and we have no family out here but lots in Edinburgh so it makes sense to move back. Can't wait!
