Ok lady's lets not be shy...You've done the hard part... giving birth and you were not shy then I bet. You know who you are and you know you want to meet up... so why not add your name to this and tell me where about you are, so we can arrange a meet up.

Kitty17 - you're never going to get lots of definites for an event like this. If you can get three or four definites and a few maybes, then you are doing well. Even the definite names will swap around a bit!

It helps to keep a log of who have committed as a definite or a maybe - that way you can keep track of numbers and also helps remind people.

I'll do the first one - then over to you (and also others) to update. Easiest done by copying and pasting the list and updating as appropriate.

Edinburgh Zoo, April 28th, 12noon

Kitty17 + ds (1)
Prettybird + ds (6)
Jennylee + ?
Gomez + ds (6.5months) + ?dd1 (7) & ?dd2 (2.11)
Mellowma + ? - maybe
Purplemonkeydishwasher + ds (18months) - maybe
agalch + dd1(2.5) & dd2 (8months) & ?ds (11)
InvisiblePinkUnicorn + dd1 (2.11) and dd2 (1) - maybe
LieselVentouse + dd(5) - maybe
Lilliput + dd(4)& ds(2) - maybe

Any other takers?

Gomez - nice to hear from you and I'd love to see your ds - is he really 6 months already? Mum's not so good and the NHS is not covering itself with glory , but that's a whole other thread and I don't want to hi-jack this one.

Jennylee · 26/03/2007 02:08

me me me

prettybird · 26/03/2007 08:44

You're already on the list! The ? was becasue I wasn't sure if you would be bringing any kids.

mateychops · 26/03/2007 08:50

I would have loved to have done this, but unfortunately clashes with ds birthday. Good luck, ladies!

purplebunnydishwasher · 26/03/2007 09:17

i'm still a maybe but just wanted to point out that it's the same weekend as the baby show at the SECC.

LieselVentouse · 26/03/2007 09:19

Sorry Kitty, after reading Mateychops message thats put paid to that as its my nephews birthday so I wont make it this time but am still interested, can you give me details of the Mile for Maude up here.

Jennylee · 26/03/2007 13:04

Yes am going to bring a huge 7 year old who is home educated lol so we can both make it.

kitty17 · 26/03/2007 13:32

Prettybird... Hugh thank you for doing the list...your help is appreciated.

Anyone else interested in going, please add your name to the list that Prettybird has started (copy, paste and add your name)

No one is being forced into going or making the decision, it would just be nice for it to happen instead of everyone just talking about it........ thats all!.

Edinburgh Zoo, Saturday April 28th, 12noon

Updating the latest from today. Yes I know that I said I would leave it to others to do but old habits die hard. It's also light relief from having seen my mum and also from the "smacking" thread - those of you have met me will of course already know that I am a child abuser . (but then, I have always acknowledged that by Mumsnet standards I am a baaaaad mummy on so many different couts! )

Anyway, here goes:

Kitty17 + ds (1)
Prettybird + ds (6)
Jennylee + ds (7)
Gomez + ds (6.5months) + ?dd1 (7) & ?dd2 (2.11)
Mellowma + ? - maybe
Purplemonkeydishwasher + ds (18months) - maybe
agalch + dd1(2.5) & dd2 (8months) & ?ds (11)
InvisiblePinkUnicorn + dd1 (2.11) and dd2 (1) - maybe
Lilliput + dd(4)& ds(2) - maybe

Is Purplemonkeydishwasher the same as purplebunnydishwasher? I'm presuming so!

Jennylee · 26/03/2007 23:35

oh god...not .....fruit shoots?

larf

[grins]

you don't do you?

lol

prettybird · 26/03/2007 23:43

Yup - fruit shoots. and cheese strings!

... amongst other heinous crimes!

My ds is damamged for life! And he can't possible love me 'cos I briefly stung the back of his hand a maximum of 5 times 4 years ago - in cold blood. (sorry - shouldn't hijack this thread - just wanted a bit of light relief. )

prettybird · 27/03/2007 11:22

Oops - killed the thread. Honest, I'm a nice person - Gomez will vouch for me! And I have a lovely ds!

prettybird · 27/03/2007 13:55

... so, Ive put everyone off....

InvisiblePinkUnicorn · 27/03/2007 15:06

I'm watching...

prettybird · 27/03/2007 15:55

Hoefully you will be encouraged to come!

At various meet-ups, I have met Aimsmum, Gomez, Toothache (also known as Sackache), gscrym, sammac, bobsmum, ericblack, eulalia, mawbroon, Twig, Lilliput amongst others - and they were all lovely!

Don't think I've met a single person I've not liked!

I mention your name Aimsmum and there you are, just like magic!

Jennylee · 27/03/2007 17:40

Lol pretty bird you know what (whispers)

I have sometimes bought food at....

takes a deep breath....

Iceland!

And ...
I live in a council house

(hides face and runs for cover)

prettybird · 27/03/2007 17:56

...and ds does occasionally, as a treat (more for his parents, who for whatever reason don't want to cook that night !)

go to.....

Macdonalds!

We blame his auntie (my SIL) - she took him the first time. We would never have taken him of course - even though we go there occasionally (by that, I mean about once a month!) ourselves!

Hi guys, I'll try and come next time but my dd is with her dad that weekend. Hmmm.... maybe I should get him to come along.

prettybird · 28/03/2007 09:11

You could always come on your own! Kids are not compulsory!

soph28 · 28/03/2007 09:25

Hi. Sorry I have been around but just not seen this threag again when I have!

I'm up for the zoo too- have a membership.
So that's me and ds (2) and dd (8mo).

JennyLee we are (hopefully) getting a new car next week so I should be able to take you as it will be a 7 seater.

soph28 · 28/03/2007 09:34

Jennylee I just read whole thread and saw that you have got a new house. I am so happy for you, that's great. I might bring someone else along then.
