Ok lady's lets not be shy...You've done the hard part... giving birth and you were not shy then I bet. You know who you are and you know you want to meet up... so why not add your name to this and tell me where about you are, so we can arrange a meet up.

I've not been to the Zoo with ds (he's been with his aunt a long time ago and, I think, the Out of School Holiday Club), so it owuld be nice to go there with him.

prettybird · 23/03/2007 08:58

Anyone else interested, or does another possible Scottish meet-up bite the dust?

prettybird · 23/03/2007 10:59

Just to cofnirm: I think we're talking about April 28th (or is it still 27th?) at Edinburgh Zoo.

Who's up for it?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 23/03/2007 11:15

hypothetically how would one get there from, say, falkirk with a toddler and no car?

prettybird · 23/03/2007 11:20

purplemonkeydishwasher - if you can get to Falkirk station, then you get off at Haymarket and then catch the bus along Corstorphine Road and get off outside Edinburgh Zoo..

I've done that a couple of times with ds, going to Mumsnet meet-ups at Agenda ( a wee bit further along the road). First time I did it was when ds was c. 2 years old and he enjoyed the adventure.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 23/03/2007 11:45

i've got a month to get mentally prepared for it!

prettybird · 23/03/2007 12:03

If you ant, I could confirm which train I would be getting and then arrange to meet either on the train or at Haymarket. I'll be with a 6 year old, so I'd be able to give you a hand - for example, lifitng a buggy up the steps at Haymarket (if you are still using a buggy).

prettybird · 23/03/2007 12:09

"ant" = "want"

agalch · 23/03/2007 12:13

1 adult (me) and 1 child, ds aged 6.

Kitty17 - it might be worthwhile also encouraging the "maybes" - I know that there are some people (eg Loobie) who aren't able to say for certain if they can make it due to child related issues.

agalch · 23/03/2007 15:13

Hi

It will be me and the dd's, 8 months and 2.5yrs. May also be ds2 age 11,will need to confirm that he wants to come. Can let you know for sure later on today.

InvisiblePinkUnicorn · 23/03/2007 16:32

I think I can make it. I have two little girls, 1 and almost 3 years old.

Not sure how if I will bring the girls (who will be nearly 7 and nearly 3 by then) but would most certainly have DS, who will be 6.5 months by then.

Cheers

Hi all.....Sorry to be a pest on this one, but we do need some definitely's here so that we can make the day go ahead, I do know we have to concidered a few things and not all fo you can say yes or no at the moment, but if we can get some of you to committ (like I have with my DS (1), it would be fab.
It can be a bit hard meeting people you dont know, but then once we have met up we now each other and im sure that we are really a nice bunch, I dont bite.... really!!!!
Im quite a shy person so this will be good for me, as it will be for all of us... so come on girls... lets have some fun with the kids at the Zoo.....What do you say..... YES, YES, YES
