Ok lady's lets not be shy...You've done the hard part... giving birth and you were not shy then I bet. You know who you are and you know you want to meet up... so why not add your name to this and tell me where about you are, so we can arrange a meet up.

Prettybird, Sorry about not counting towards group discout but I think you have enough anyway so should still be cheap.

I am going to ask another local mum along anyway so that will boost the numbers too.

Hi Guys....WOW.. This is great with the list of names we have, Im just catching up with the thread...My DP is on holiday this week, so things are all over the place....and it was DS 1st Birthday yesterday, so it's been party time around here since saturday.
I have another name and one child to add to the list, she is a Edin Mum, I have added her in with me for the time being.

I am def coming with the dd's but ds2 is way too old and cool to be seen with a bunch of MN folk.

Looking forward to putting faces to names but admit feeling very nervous about it all.I'm not at all confident in new situations.

Don't be shy agalch - we are actually very nice. I've only actually met 3 of the people on this list (Gomez, Aimsmum and Lilliput) but they and all the mumsnetters I have met have all been realy friendly - and normal! (no hairy truckers, honest!

Would love to come along but something kept niggling in me about the date. Realised last night that I am taking some kids from my chess club to an all day competition so can't come One day I'll make it. Sounds like it could be a great day. Hopefully with weather like today!

No good idea, there should be a back up plan, im sure there are places indoors that we can eat the picnic..
Lets hope the weather is sunny and dry even warmer would be good....

I think the zoo has a new indoor picnic eating place that also has a softplay.
I will probably go this week so I will check it out!

This sounds like a date I can make!

I love the zoo.... do we have to take the kids?

My friends are headkeepers there.... I could get us a wee sneaky peek behind the scenes at the animal antics bit. She's the head animal presenter and her hubby is head of the bird department. You can imagine the mileage I've had with that one:

Friend: Hubby is away to Germany to pick up a bird.

Me: HAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAA At least he's honest!
