Shiny new thread :)

Christmas Night Out Replacement. Feb half term. Details coming soon (when we've done things like get closer to the date, decided which weekend, thawed out, and stuff)

OP posts:
KaraStarbuckThrace · 31/05/2011 12:29

Yeah I might give there a try then.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 31/05/2011 12:30

10am ish, spiggy says she'll be about an hour later due to a MW appointment.

StealthPolarBear · 31/05/2011 12:31

Right, I might be there a little late - maybe 10.15

Indith · 31/05/2011 16:26

I thought we were going for 11 as that was when Spiggy could? Was going to take dd swimming first and the small pool only opens at 10. Is that bad? I could still do 10, have lunch out and then take her when it opens again at 1 but that will mean a lot of entertaining a small girl in a cafe. May just come at 11 if that is OK as I really, really don't think dd will last all that long in the cafe before she goes loopy even with a slice of cake to eat.

Yes to parking on Old Elvet, there is almost always space there, I like it for parking. My new fave place to park is down at the Sands, a little further but costs the same as the street parking and you just get the lift all the way up to the Gala then not far to walk.

Spiggy you've completely lost me with the dummy talk. When I got some for dd I stared blankly at the array in the supermarket, grabbed a couple and ran.

I neeeeeeed to go clothes shopping. I have sod all clothes, not even enough to last a week. I own 1 pair of jeans that fits and one dress. Bit of a buggar if it is cold and my jeans need washing. Tried in Durham yesterday but the problem with Durham is if you can't find anything in FatFace that is pretty mcuh it Hmm.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 31/05/2011 18:15

No, I can come at 11am, that is not a problem.

I will try Old Elvet then, as long as I have change for parking!

StealthPolarBear · 31/05/2011 18:21

11 is better for me too - see you then

Indith · 31/05/2011 18:42

Anyway, sorted, DH is working from home tomorrow and was planning to do some store visits, so he is going to drop me off at the cafe, go visit some stores and then pick me up when I'm ready to head home.
Assuming I don't go into labour as have had 3 strong contractions in the past hour!

spiggy · 31/05/2011 19:12

oooooh fingers crossed Kara. you do realise that we'll be waiting for you not to show tomorrow!

Indith- I really wish I didn't know so much about dummies but my lot are very fussy discerning when it comes to artificial boob substitutes.

Indith · 31/05/2011 19:50

Live thread Live thread Live thread! Come on Kara I've nothing else to do this evening except maybe a load of chores.

Spiggy I messed around a fair bit with dummies but got sick of losing them and them falling out at night so I gave up and have 2 determined thumb suckers instead.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 31/05/2011 20:03

Nothing more happening, except back ache, heaviness very low down and the occasional sharp stabbing pain down below.

Probably another false alarm...

Bryher · 31/05/2011 23:16

Hello

Am a new mum to be living in Bowburn (am 29 weeks) - looking for other mums in the local area - am I in the right place?

and good luck Kara!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 01/06/2011 07:10

Yes, absolutely!!

We all meet up in Durham regularly in fact we are meeting today for coffee and cake. We are all very friendly and lovely if a bit bonkers

We usually go to Cafe Continental (that is where we are going today), short notice for you but if you fancy joining us we are very easy to find as we always take over the ground floor Grin We're meeting up at 11am.

I'm coming I WANT CAKE!!!

Indith · 01/06/2011 07:21

Hello Bryher :)

Sorry things all slowed down again Kara, but hey ho at least you get cake!

Dd remined me why we call her the incredible non-sleeping baby child last night

OP posts:
spiggy · 01/06/2011 10:08

hello bryher Smile you are more than welcome to join us- as Kara said we are all lovely and not cake obsessed at all.

Kara just don't do what I did with H. I was convinced I wasn't in labour- up until I started pushing!

DS2 has chosen today to decide he will sleep somewhere other than my arms and has been snoring happily for an hour in his swing. Confused

LeggyBlondeNE · 01/06/2011 10:32

Aw damnit, I got so busy marking I didn't check back and now I'm at work with no purse and you're all en route to CC... :-(

Hope cake was nice. I ate too much cake while marking anyway...

Indith · 01/06/2011 13:53

Muppet!

Oh well, Kara won't be long and then we'll have to do new baby cake all over again Grin.

OP posts:
KaraStarbuckThrace · 01/06/2011 15:48

Exactly, we have celebrated Spiggy's DS2's arrival with cake, the next occasion will be my dc2 Grin

Cake was goooooood

Indith · 01/06/2011 16:18

He is so very squishy and beautiful.

Next time I want that raspberry fudgy thingy that SPB had. It was yummy.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 01/06/2011 16:24

Yes it was :o I'd have that again.
Come ooon Kara, don't you know how badly we want to have to have cake again? What is keeping you?
Wink

StealthPolarBear · 01/06/2011 16:25

Would anyone mind if I started a new thread? I have paging off and it's taking a little while to load. Plus I have an idea for a title :o

Indith · 01/06/2011 16:27

I'm not fussy, go for it.
