If it's the first photo on your profile he looks very big :o

KaraStarbuckThrace · 20/05/2011 19:03

Think that might be M, SPB ;)

StealthPolarBear · 20/05/2011 19:08

I guessed it wasn't new baby!
Does he have a name (understand you might not want to say)

KaraStarbuckThrace · 20/05/2011 19:23

No apparently he doesn't as yet!
So we'd better help and think of some Grin

Ross
Eustace
William
Robert
Edmund (personal fave but to close to DS's middle name if we're wrong and this one turns out to be a boy!)
Callum
Ciaren
Jonah
Caleb
Arthur

spiggy · 20/05/2011 20:41

ooh kara- Edmund is the one of possibilities!

bastard, bastard afterpains, worse than labour!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 20/05/2011 22:37

Oh you poor thing!!!

Indith · 21/05/2011 13:14

Oh poor you Spiggy.

Edmund is a fabulous name, I love it.

I'm a big fan of Arthur too, and William of course Grin

stickylittlefingers · 23/05/2011 14:08

Hope you're feeling better now Spiggy! Many many congratulations!!!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 23/05/2011 20:52

38 weeks tomorrow!

Hope you are well, Spiggy!

Indith · 24/05/2011 09:11

Not long now then kara!

OP posts:
LeggyBlondeNE · 24/05/2011 11:16

Oo, congrats Spiggy!

I love Arthur - wanted it on our boys shortlist but it was vetoed.

Now T is mostly sitting, stuffing her own face, semi-mobile and bfing so little I'm starting to see why women get broody again the minute they have a toddler! Coffee and cake next week sounds like an excellent plan - break from exam marking, and wee baby viewing!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 24/05/2011 12:17

Been to see MW, we both agree that head is engaged and this baby will come early!
She has asked me to go up to JC for a presentation scan, just waiting for DH to get home as he is not far away, should be here any mo. Will get the TENS machine as well while we are at it!

Indith · 24/05/2011 12:45

Exciting!

Shall we try for coffee and cake next week? I'll text spiggy and see how she is doing and if she thinks she'll be up to it.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 24/05/2011 13:09

oooh Kara!!

Yes, coffee next week - I can do monday possibly, def not Tuesday, or certain times on Wed/Thur/Fri. Probably best if you just tell me when you are doing it and I'll see if I can make it?

KaraStarbuckThrace · 24/05/2011 15:55

Next Monday is a bank holiday.

Should we try for Wednesday/Thursday?

Indith · 24/05/2011 18:17

Wed is good. Thursday morning I'm aiming to do a clean/check of the toddler group toys. I shall only have one child, th big one will be with his gran. Unfortunately that leaves me with teh chocolate eating cake steaer.

OP posts:
spiggy · 24/05/2011 18:24

afterpains have stopped so am feeling much better- I think it'd be them that put me off having any more rather than birth itself!

Am def up for cake next week- can do any time. Child is still nameless. DP will agree to Barney but not Barnabas & I like "proper" names on the birth certificate. I'll agree to Edmund but he won't agree to Ned as a nn. The only name that we both agree on is one that is really unusal and we think would be a tad cruel to lumber a chld with. It might work in that there London but in the NE I think we'd get a few Hmm How long before we start getting harrassed by the registrar? Grin

Kara- hope you not kept waiting as long as I was, but it is sounding positive!

Indith · 24/05/2011 18:32

Yay! Glad all going well.

What is the unusual one? Test the waters with a thread in baby names, they are very brutal honest on here Grin. FWIW dh was unsure about having Margaret for dd but he eventually decided it was better to have a "proper" name on the birth certificate. He always calls her Daisy but I also call her Meg/Peg/Meggy so wanting differend nicknames doesn't have to be a sticking point, you could go for Edmund and both call him different thingss.

StealthPolarBear · 24/05/2011 21:33

I can do Wednesday any time except for 1.30ish onwards

Wednesday lunchtime?

Kara you know we're all going to be putting bets on whether you'll show...and if you do will there be one, two or three of you :o

(not that I'm suggesting you're having twins, you understand :o)

KaraStarbuckThrace · 25/05/2011 08:50

There is definitely only one in here Grin

I had a presentation scan yesterday and baby is definitely head down and engaged! Woohoo!

If I do come, it'll be a max of 2 as DS will be at nursery on Wednesday.
No interesting signs as yet... except (TMI ALERT)

I did the most ginormous poo this morning ShockBlush

KaraStarbuckThrace · 25/05/2011 08:54

And I like Ned as a nn for Edmund Smile

Think I prefer that to Barnabas/Barney if I am honest!

DH wanted Persephone as a middle name for this one but I explained the origin of the name and that she would get the piss taken out of her at school, as it is (IMO) a bit poncetastic for the NE! Could only get away with that name in That London....

Go on the baby name threads - what you could do is search for your name to see if someone has already asked about it, might be a bit less painful!

juneybean · 25/05/2011 11:38

I can't come next week but I'm excited to meet these new snuggly babies as soon as the next one is out Wink

StealthPolarBear · 25/05/2011 12:22

Thanks Kara, am enjoying my lunch :o

KaraStarbuckThrace · 28/05/2011 07:59

No sign yet, just a few false alarms.

StealthPolarBear · 28/05/2011 08:02
