Bump!!

StealthyKissBeartrayal · 11/04/2011 23:15

bumping for you Kara :)
Can I suggest the park at CLS for a meet up sometime soon? DS is dying to go back

KaraStarbuckThrace · 12/04/2011 06:36

Park at CLS? Sorry SPB, you will have to remind me!!
Do you mean the one on the Riverside at Durham?

I will be free on Fridays very soon!

Where has everyone gone? I think we can safely say Beamish is off for today so what about Thursday?

LeggyBlondeNE · 12/04/2011 18:06

Gah, had a terrible night last night and felt horrid all day.

I've noticed that my attitude to controlled crying is inversely proportional to how much sleep I had the night before...!

What's forcast for Thursday?

KaraStarbuckThrace · 12/04/2011 18:34

Sunny spells!

Sorry you had a crap night Leggy :(

KaraStarbuckThrace · 13/04/2011 15:51

Going to have to give Beamish a miss tomorrow, sorry :(

Went around Locomotion and am still knackered, so need to take it easy and stay local tomorrow.

Weather has been disappointing, this week, cloudy and with a very cold wind!

StealthyKissBeartrayal · 15/04/2011 14:24

Where is everyone?
How are you feeling Kara?

KaraStarbuckThrace · 15/04/2011 14:42

I'm still tired!

DS went for his pre op assessment, he has to have no food after midnight and nil by mouth after 7am. We have to take to the surgical day unit at 8am.
DH will have to go with him when he has the GA as apparently there is some risk to pregnant women! They said he'll be under about 20mins, they give him a drink and something light to eat after and as long as he keeps it down they'll probably discharge him mid morning.

StealthyKissBeartrayal · 15/04/2011 14:45

:(
When is that happening?

KaraStarbuckThrace · 15/04/2011 14:55

Tuesday morning. Feeling really nervous. He does know he is getting his eye fixed, and is quite happy about that - he has been complaining the last few times his eye gets gunky or crusty. Just worried about keeping him occupied during the day and explaining to him why he can't have so much as a drink of water!
We won't bother getting him dressed, as they will change him into a hospital gown when we get their. Will just take a spare change of clothing. I asked about whether I should put him in a nappy there said no need they are not bothered if he does have an accident when under the GA as long as we are not!

StealthyKissBeartrayal · 15/04/2011 14:58

:( Poor little thing
It will all be over soon and no doubt you will spoil him rotten

KaraStarbuckThrace · 15/04/2011 15:43

I know, and we definitely will :)

He was so good at the hospital today, bless him!

StealthyKissBeartrayal · 18/04/2011 22:27

Good luck for tomorrow Kara :) Hope you are OK - I'm sure he will be but no doubt you two will be stressed! This time tomorrow it will all be over (and may I suggest a glass of medicinal wine?)

KaraStarbuckThrace · 19/04/2011 15:59

We're back home.

Got to the hospital just before 8am, he didn't get to theatre until 1:15pm, and he hadn't eaten since 4pm the night before :( He was so tired when he got home he didn't want anything and had an early night!
He was okay for the first hour but then kept complaining he was hungry and tired Sad got really annoyed with people walking around with food and drink, worst was when some women sat near where he was sat wailing about how hungry he was and started emptying out a bag of food to eat AngryAngryAngry
Still he recovered very quickly afterwards, demolished 2 slices of toast, 3 cups of water and 5 digestive biscuits Smile
He is currently chilling out on the sofa watching Octanauts!

StealthyKissBeartrayal · 19/04/2011 16:24

poor little thing. Glad it all went well and he has eaten now. Angry at that stupid woman.

stickylittlefingers · 20/04/2011 23:16

Kara - sounds like you've been having a time of it! Hope you have a nice restful birthday tomorrow.

So we're home again..! The girls are delighted to be reunited with all their toys, so are being very easy to look after. Being unemployed rocks when it's the Easter holidays and the weather is lovely!

juneybean · 21/04/2011 20:41

Happy Birthday KST! Grin

KaraStarbuckThrace · 21/04/2011 20:42

Thank you Grin

Indith · 04/05/2011 17:20

Hello!

How are you all?

Where is Spiggy? Not that I am at all wondering if she has given birth yet. Nope. Not me. Not interested.

We should have a cake eating meet once she and kara have snuggly newborns and are sufficiently recovered/able to leave the house within a couple of hours of the intended time :).

spiggy · 05/05/2011 16:55

Spiggy reporting in Grin no baby yet although I had a run of contractions the other night and nearly phoned the mw. Am making everyone very nervous at work, every time I shift in my seat I get asked if I need to go home! We have crispy duck for dinner tonight- the meal that we had before I went in to labour with both DS and DD so watch this space Grin. Am hoping nothing happens though as I am knackered- DS had nightmares last night and then there was a car accident right outside our house at 5 this morning so I've been up since then. The bloke hit our neighbour's wall and died, he was only 20 Sad.

Kara, hope you and D are feeling better now. Not long to go now!

Indith · 05/05/2011 17:37

Oh how sad Spiggy.

I hope you get some rest the next couple of days then in preparation.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 05/05/2011 18:27

Oh Spiggy, how awful Sad

Glad you are okay, I have packed in work already! Main reason being I can get more on MA than I can earn at the moment as my client list has dwindled over the last 3-4 months.

Got long lists of jobs to do. Top of the list sleep!

Indith, yes will definitely come up and visit, will need fortifying with much cake Grin

LeggyBlondeNE · 06/05/2011 21:23

Gosh Spiggy, what a night!

I would be much in favour of cake although T is starting nursery on Monday so it might be just me. -sad face-

Will keep my fingers crossed for several good nights sleep followed by timely arrivals for you both!

StatelyPoshBeartrothal · 06/05/2011 21:24

ooh spiggy will keep my fingers crossed that the duck does its stuff!
