I'm starting a Follow on thread for Week 1 as we've been so busy chatting and supporting each other, while there is still space to link to it on the first thread Smile

Ahhh here we are!

Bestbees · 16/04/2021 18:41

Got to my mils and they are spreading the most horrendous muck on the field that I actually have been gagging!

Thanks for the thread @prettybird

PseudoBadger · 16/04/2021 18:46

Can I have some cauli rice help please? I want to have it with chilli I don't like cauliflower I have some frozen prepared ocado cauli rice - should I just microwave it or microwave it then fry it?

prettybird · 16/04/2021 18:49

I've never used the frozen stuff but I always find fresh (blitzed) cauliflower rice is better under rather than over cooked, so instinctively, I'd suggest frying it from frozen with lots of lovely butter.

Thank you to StuntNun (can’t link - new thread. Sorry) for the poo suggestion. Senna time tonight. Hopefully things will become more, um, regular in time. (I have to be honest, coconut oil in coffee sounds disgusting, but needs must eh)

BestIsWest · 16/04/2021 18:56

Thanks for new thread. Behind on the water today - got stuck in an endless Teams meeting that I couldn’t get away from to refill.
B. Eggs and butter
L. tuna mayo salad
D. Will be curry which is currently cooking.

Hotgotthetrots · 16/04/2021 18:56

And thank you for the new thread!

I’ve just had that one with curry for my dinner, just microwaved it as the curry was really saucy. I microwave it for longer than the instruction and flip it over half way through
Keeva2017 · 16/04/2021 19:04

I have not stopped moving today chasing kids around a petting farm and park but feels so good being active and thinking about how much good it’s done me in conjunction with this woe.

Makegoodchoices · 16/04/2021 19:09

Thanks for the new thread @prettybird

Forgot to put food in earlier
B: Greek yogurt
L: The most disappointing chicken salad
D: sausages and egg with garlic mushrooms and peppers

And some Gaviscon because I’ve got horrendous heartburn going on.

colouringindoors · 16/04/2021 19:09

craving wine 😩

PseudoBadger · 16/04/2021 19:13

"most disappointing chicken salad"

Oh I'm sorry, that has made me sad for you @Makegoodchoices Sad

Makegoodchoices · 16/04/2021 19:20

Thanks @PseudoBadger - I’ve recovered now but it was tough times for an hour there!

@colouringindoors my husband is making his way happily through my favourite wine and looking far too happy about it.

PseudoBadger · 16/04/2021 19:26

I microwaved the 'rice' and it's fine taste is drowned out by the chilli

prettybird · 16/04/2021 19:30

Just as well you didn't follow my advice Wink

OP posts:
PseudoBadger · 16/04/2021 19:32

Sorry @prettybird I was too hungry!

50FootWave · 16/04/2021 19:35

Jumping in!

Ifeelmuchlessfat · 16/04/2021 19:44

@decisionsincisions your comments about alcohol really resonate with me. On a previous boot camp there was quite a lot of discussion about moderators vs abstainers and I fall very firmly into the second camp as have no will power where wine is concerned and have to go without or it all goes pear shaped and crisps etc follow...

So today I’ve done a LOT of hill walking along the Dorset coast - think those photos from Durdle Door last summer - and not eaten a huge amount. I came home and had cheese and bacon burger with avocado salad and coleslaw, but was still starving..
Usually on Fridays I’d be halfway through a bottle of red by now but it’s boot camp so.. I had a go at a keto mug cake and it was bloody lovely and am now full.
Was that allowed @BIWI, or should I have had (another) glass of water?

AthelstaneTheUnready · 16/04/2021 19:53

@NotRightNowPlease - i've just finished work so not read everything properly, but wanted to say before I forgot... lurking is fine Flowers. No need to feel feckin' obligated to post Grin

these threads are just as much for lurkers as they are for posters - they're for support, whether you're quiet or noisy.

I hope you have a great weekend too.

Jellycatspyjamas · 16/04/2021 19:54

Just checking in so I don’t lose everyone - happy Friday night 😃

AthelstaneTheUnready · 16/04/2021 20:00

booze. gave it up three weeks ago. not feeling the temptation too much right now. definitely a serve-mine-inna-bucket-with-a-funnel type - moderation a null concept here

but christ, i'd have chewed your (low carb) arm off for a cigarette just half an hour ago.

some manky tinned soup and a litre of water later and it's gone. i'm pooped though, so probably bedtime for me imminently

(love what you've done with the new thread, @prettybird - think it's the blue and mustard colour scheme)

Motivateinmotion · 16/04/2021 20:01

Checking in whilst catching up with thread 1!

Chunkymonkey123 · 16/04/2021 20:09

@Makegoodchoices

Thanks for the new thread *@prettybird*

And some Gaviscon because I’ve got horrendous heartburn going on.

I tried to quote your message and I reported it instead! So sorry if anything happens.

I was trying to say that I am suffering from heartburn too! I’m on medication for it anyway but this diet seems to have caused a flare up. Bloating has gone down a lot though!

Timetobuckup · 16/04/2021 20:09

Another one who will find the lack of booze tricky. I am however ok at staying moderate (depending on what you think is moderate I guess)
Dinner was delicious if I say so myself
I fried some leeks and mushrooms and garlic then sliced pork fillet. A lump of philly in to make a sauce and served with mashed swede and green beans.

Now I am full I am not bothered about the booze really.

We have gotten into a habit of one or two drinks most days and it is such a bad habit that I have known needed to be broken for a while so am happy to get on top of that as well.

Timetobuckup · 16/04/2021 20:12

I forgot to ask , does anyone have any tips on the grim taste in the mouth ?

The temptation is to chew gum but I assume that is not really allowed ?
