Morning all!

Welcome to the second (or third if you didn't ubercamp) week of Bootcamp

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And the Weight Tracker

I'm off to Leicester this morning, and won't be back until tomorrow evening, and no idea how much access I'll have to wifi/broadband, so apologies for any radio silence!

Hope you all had a good weekend, and here's to a good week

Agave is sugar. In fact, a lot of the LC experts say its worse than sucrose as its actually fructose and that is supposed to turn straight to fat in your liver!

The whole idea behind not having any form of sweetener is that you are supposed to use the first strict days to get rid of any cravings for sweet things. Its hard but its well worth it as it makes life much easier once you don't fancy sweets and cakes etc.

Also, some people stall on sweeteners. Its now thought that they can actually trigger an insulin response because your brain responds to the taste and pumps out insulin ready to deal with sugar. High levels of insulin will stop you releasing your fat stores.

Have a look at some of the links on the tabs at the bottom of the spread sheet. Lots of good reading on the theory that makes it easier to appreciate the rules of BootCamp.

xylitol is not an artificial sweetner. It's a derivative from birch tree among other. It is as artificial as sugar is or as natural as sugar is, dele ding how you want to look at it.

I'm having several fillings (4 or 5, only one is needed for a tiny cavity, the rest are preventative due to the shape and crowding of some of my teeth and one surface filling to fix a chip) it's being done under sedation, any idea what I should get in to eat later?

I have never had to have any dental work done before so I don't know what to expect in terms of pain eating etc.

I'm having choco coffee cheesecake for breakfast as a bit of a fat bomb in case I can't eat later (home made and only slightly sweetened)

Down 0.8lbs. Trying not to sigh heavily at this.

First A loss is still a loss, some weeks are slow.

Hi all,
I'm back from my week in Cumbria and also back up to 157 - so 3lbs on! only have myself to blame though as i did slide more than a little and clearly all the fell walking had little impact!
Back on track this week.
Spreadsheet isn't working for me, so if someone would kindly enter my number, i'd be very grateful.
Have a good week everyone

bettybigballs · 11/08/2014 10:52

Boo, I'm 1lb up this week but i'm hugely pre-menstrual so I'm not too bothered. Happy Monday campers

trashcanjunkie · 11/08/2014 11:26

are we just staying on this thread or have I missed the link/memo?

anyway, I'm down quite a bit this week, so woo hoo!

miffy49 · 11/08/2014 12:47

Maybe Biwi is busy at work. I expect she'll sort it later. Smile

I have actually lost a whole pound this week! Its sooo long since I lost more than scrappy little bits I can barely contain myself! Been weighing in on Tuesdays but I have to go to a wedding tomorrow and its a very early start so I crept onto the scales this morning and nearly fell off them in shock!

Must say, credit where its due, I think I have Biwi to thank. I finally bit the bullet and followed her advice and knocked off the Greek yoghurt. Thanks Biwi Flowers

Sorry - no broadband at home which is a total nightmare. Will do something asap - have been in back-to-back meetings and not free till about 2.30!

Went away on holiday last week and put on 3lbs. Back down to it this week. Well done to all who have lost and onwards and downwards to the rest of us.

pregnantpause · 11/08/2014 13:59

Back in work. Does everyone else find work days so much harder or is it just me?Confused

B- asparagus fried in mutter with a slice of smoked salmon
D- chicken soup with hm stock, mushrooms, chilli, ginger, and pak choi.
L- leftover ham with spinach and radish
S- buttered hard boiled eggs. I've packed three to last me the day, but I'm one down plus my lunch and so snacky it's shocking. I'm not hungry really, just fighting the habit of constantly grazing through work shifts.

Well done everyone Grin
