Morning all!

Welcome to the second (or third if you didn't ubercamp) week of Bootcamp

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And the Weight Tracker

I'm off to Leicester this morning, and won't be back until tomorrow evening, and no idea how much access I'll have to wifi/broadband, so apologies for any radio silence!

Hope you all had a good weekend, and here's to a good week

I don't know jesuis Grin I watched it too and was just thinking "oh I could bake a cake" well I could, I just couldn't eat it!

I just ate a bit of cheese to distract me from the cakes. I'll need to learn to control it as I love watching GBBO.

SayraT · 06/08/2014 21:09

Just looked at the torte questions when you made it did you use sweetener? I have tried to look for things to make for when people are round for dinner but I'd rather not use sweetener either.

Baddderz · 06/08/2014 21:15

Hi
I am low carbing ATM - am 3 days in but I am so flatulent!!
It's awful!
Is this normal?
Today I have had;
Scrambled egg and cold cocktail sausages
Mint oea and spinach soup
chicken and salad
Also some nuts
I am not following bootcamp strictly - I am following briffa as it's worked for me in the last.
Hope it's ok to post here for advice?

questions2008 · 06/08/2014 21:59

hi sayra, yes I used stevia...there isn't a way to get round desserts without sweetners though (is there?)! I don't have sweetners in anything else I usually eat, apart from a diet coke once in a while, so reckon cake is a good way to spend my sweetners on! It really bakes into quite a good cake.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 06/08/2014 22:16

Sayra I'm about to make a snickers type cheese cake without sweeteners, I will let you know how it turns out of you want.

readyforno2 · 06/08/2014 22:34

I want to know how it turns out to I love snickers!
I had to turn the TV over earlier, they all looked too good.

questions2008 · 06/08/2014 22:35

schro that sounds amazing...

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 06/08/2014 23:10

I hadn't noticed I had run out of peanut butter until it came to making peanut butter cream! My chocolate with a blob of pb cream cheese cakes are in the fridge now. :(

questions2008 · 06/08/2014 23:40

They still sound good!

Right, I may well have a date next week Shock, that's something to work towards!

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 06/08/2014 23:46

Ohh. Good luck on your date! :o

SayraT · 07/08/2014 08:02

I'm not sure questions I've made crumble, custard, pancakes and chocolate tarts without adding any sweetener/sugar (obviously the chocolate had sugar in in already). I really hate the taste of sweetener so I'd rather not have anything at all than a cake or something cooked with it. Sometimes though you need something for guests, I normally make individual crumbles and then I can make mine an almond crumb one with no sugar and make 'normal' ones for other people.

Maybe we should stop this converstation about sweets, cakes etc since we have a couple of weeks of BC left and definitely shouldn't be having these things on BC. I don't want my talking about it to lead someone to the kitchen!

but Schro, I'd like to hear about your cheesecake

B: Two fried eggs, coffee with cream
L: Tinned mackerel (in oil) with lettuce
D: ?
S: Cucumber and pepper sticks

pregnantpause · 07/08/2014 08:53

Back on track for today

B- coffee cream and two buttered hard boiled eggs mashed on a pile of spinach
D- pork chop with cauliflower cheese
S- courgette ribbons with basil and thinly sliced mozzarella
T- at a party - it's a family party so I'm planning to tell everyone that I'm going gluten free to manage my ibs- two birds with one stone- I won't have to eat the quiche and my family won't keep inviting me over for cakeGrin
I doubt I'll eat much so might have some more cauliflower cheese later

I get through colossal amounts if cauliflower now- almost a head a dayShock

On the windy query I've found after a week or so I'm far far less windy- Blush my dh even commented that I'm not farting as much as usual Blush so I think it'll ease off

Imatot- enjoy your day at the seaside Grin

Suzymoo09 · 07/08/2014 08:56

SaryaT I've made that torte a few times - found it's best with Xylitol and the erythritol she mentions. Only during bootcamp lite of course. Blush

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 07/08/2014 09:32

Sayra True, probably a good idea to stop talking about it, mines are really being made for DP (and because I am bored and making treats is fun, even not eating them).

questions2008 · 07/08/2014 09:44

thanks schro Grin

you're right sayra no more sweet talk!

I started the day with a quick run outside in the sunshine after dropping DS off. Wanted to run in a fasted state. Now I'm ready for my eggs and coffee!

B- 2 eggs & black coffee
L - chicken caesar salad
D - ?

Will be going to work leaving drinks tonight, so may have a vodka and dc.

trinitybleu · 07/08/2014 10:47

Just one more sweet question.... found sugar free chocolate in Tesco, made with stevia... is that allowed???

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 07/08/2014 11:47

Think it would be in BC light?
Check the polyol content though, or you might end up with a sore bum if you eat too much.

Greengrow · 07/08/2014 12:12

(I suspect those of us who can eliminate sugar and its substitutes for life are probably wise. Even artificial sweeteners and honey and also lots of fruit just prime the pump and make you want more sugar, like giving methadone to an alcoholic).

wombat22 · 07/08/2014 17:08

Hello all. Here's my food for the day

B: Cold Pork steak with hm mayo
L: Chicken thigh with cauli and courgette
S: Some polish sausage (like peperami)
D: Savoury mince with carrot and swede mash
Loads of water
Smile

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 07/08/2014 17:42

Hello!
I have insuline resistance/ metabolic syndrome so my weight loss is slow but since starting LC 3 months ago I lost a stone and a half. 4lbs of that is purely accredited to metformin I'm on but after the first 4lbs dropped off I was stuck. Dietician's low gi diet wasn't really working and then I started LC.

Not my finest day to join, had a friend coming over and ate 2 dark chocolate truffles!

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 07/08/2014 18:07

Just had dinner.

a pork belly slice, about 7 little spicy wings, a mushroom stuffe with roule, soft cheese, cream and garlic butter, some lettuce, a slice of port salut, another little bit of roule and sour cream.

Also had a salt and pepper wing earlier and a few bites of ice cream cheese cake thing I made for DP (was pretty much unsweetened) and 2 sugar free haribo that the toddler fed me. :)

BestIsWest · 07/08/2014 20:51

I've been to the hospital today for a check on my hypercalcaemia and I have lost 11.5 kilos in the last year. So I'm over the moon about that.

Today I have had
B: berries and Lidl Greek yoghurt.
L. Ham wrapped in cos lettuce
D. Chicken thighs with salad and coleslaw. Raspberries and whipped cream.

2 litres water, 2 teas with lacto free milk. 1 coffee with cream. More water to come.

SayraT · 07/08/2014 21:01

trinity personally I think that if you want a little bit of chocolate you are better having one square of good quality dark chocolate rather than a substitute.

Welcome drink well done on your weight loss so far Smile

Well done best that's great.

Just back from pole class and I feel great, very bruised but managed a move I've been really struggling will. Need to make something for dinner, might have a cheese omelette.

B: Two fried eggs, coffee with cream
L: Mackerel with lettuce
D: Cheese omelette
S: Cucumber and pepper sticks

Evening. Dh in his wisdom wanted nachos with cheese, salsa, refied beans etc. Hmm he doesn't get lc ing at all. So I made flax seed pancakes and had them with melted cheese and home made salsa. (Just a spoonful)It was the basic flax seed bread recipe with more water in. Only had two. Now full. Maintaining.
