Pretty wet in Wales too. Just quickly popping on to say hi on my dad's mega slow pc. All going well here at parents, enjoying mum's cooking . My bro and DH went back to London yesterday. DC's seem to be enjoying themselves.

Hello! Had friend with two DDs to visit all day. Now feeding DSs cheese on toast + cheese strings. What on earth is that anyway, cheese strings!?

SFX - how was visit?

Cheese strings don't like it doesn't taste like cheese to me
visit was brief, lots of form nice chat and dd took the TA to her room along with one of the school's soft toys and lots of pen and paper
apparently they talked about rules likes and dislikes

must study tonight have exhausted my downloads of True blood season1&2 now waiting for the finale to air in America

Madness this end, a great day with friends, end of a busy week! Teacher visit happening on Monday as well as my mother arriving first thing plus the glazier at some point! Looking forward to sitting down drawing breath one day, ideally in Venice, one of my favourite places, sitting by the water with a nice glass of wine following a wee look round the Guggenheim - it is always good to dream

Had very nice day at London aquarium. Quite possibly the most expensive entrance ticket we've ever bought though.

Not looking forward to school . Want more holidays.

Dreading dd's first day at school, am missing her already Am going to have to do some major pulling together of self and keeping busy. Am sure it will be ok after a week or two just all feels quite difficult at the moment.

pcW will it be full time? dd only goes for 3hrs each days not looking forward to it in some ways. had a look at the insane school gate fashion thing, good grief sad people about

slng we always plan to go to the Aquarium and always pull back they did a lot of renovations recently

must find ways to keep out of the house over the weekend as dh working from home

on the plus side got 77% on latest assignment so now just one end of course assessment at it will be it until the next course in October

dd starts full-time in two weeks. 0855-3.30 5 days a week! I am freaking out a bit Don't understand school gate fashion stuff, I will just look the same as I always look and have no time (in fact even less time than usual if I factor in early start, making packed lunch, sorting out ds) for anything more than having a shower and throwing on a pair of jeans! LOL it is all quite insane, I agree

dd just got a lovely card in the post, from the school, saying they hoped she had a lovely Summer and that they are looking forward to seeing her in September

Hi all, am back from my parents now. Was a nice visit but ds1 missed dh & all his friends, plus ds2 has been a bit unsettled I think by being in a new place so hasn't been sleeping that well.

Slng, we've been to the aquarium, is nice but yes, v bloody expensive!

pcworld, to some extent I know how you're feeling. I'm feeling quite emotional over ds1 starting nursery school . God knows how I'll feel next year when he goes full time!

Lots of tidying up and weeding out of useless things.... And potted up some more herbs and veg so hopefully will have new crops in a few weeks.

Problem with aquarium is that by the end you start thinking yes yes yes it's another bloody fish . Though they did have a charity appeal for whales. Didn't have a tame whale though! To be fair it was very good fun. Sharks were amazing, and rays, but I was most impressed with sea turtle ... So leisurely!

Now must think about how to recycle tidy up DS1's art "portfolio" from last year.

SFX DS1 askwed me the other day how I am going to PREVENT having any more babies! Then he said, do you just take some medicine and I managed to fudge it

Slng how much was the entry then? We went to a couple of aquariums in Ireland and they worked out about 25 euros for the family...no doubt LOndon more extravagent fishies tho...

PC thanks for comments - am really missing Ireland . Just think, when your DD starts school you can come and meet me for a cuppa

Back from Wales now and it's our wedding anniversary today so have been out for nice lunch and will be having some champers later

Trip was great, v.busy we did a lot and met up with various family members, Dc really enjoyed it but like your babe Tilly, DS2 didn't sleep the best either but does have another new tooth to show for it(I'm knackered though!)

Auntie - you're welcome hope your DC didn't miss them too much while they were away. Looks like you had a great hols from your pics. DS1 was looking for the furries when we got back home yesterday

Slng - at cost. I took DS1 one last yr and I'm sure I only paid about £7

Sfx/PCW - can't believe your LO's will be starting school soon, so exciting but can imagine it's emotionally hard to see them in a new phase
