Tidying saga continues. Just took a big bag of clothes to the charity shop. I love those clothes but they wouldn't button up in the middle anymore.

Auntie - 50 pounds. Very expensive fish. Though probably works out quite cheap per fish.

Back to school tomorrow. No more lurking about and doing nothing. It's all military operation from now till Christmas. (Though has anyone read the Evelyn Waugh's Sword of Honour trilogy? Hopefully not that sort of military operation ...)

brief hello - kidney stones gone hurrah - hopefully thats the end of that one. And have an overnight stay at the sleep clinic on Tues

First day of school done, with only the minor inconvenience of DS2 wanting to do a wee and a poo (so he said) when we were queueing ...

Now to work. When's the next holiday? Or the weekend? I'll put up with just a weekend ...

sfx & vbus, nice to see you both & respective dc's today. Ds1 is now curled up in the chair with his pillow & duvet watching a Goofy movie!! He very helpfully kept ds2 awake on the way home, generally by shouting at the top of his voice

tilly&vbus nice to see you both thanks for getting me out of the house. little miss bossy pants has calmed down a bit but is looking menacing now with some paints, think will leave her to it while I finish my book before cooking dinner

tomorrow we have our first settling in morning then a week until it starts properly
we might all survive more or less unscathed

Nice to see you both Sfx & Tilly and DC's, DS1 was worn out, he had one bite of his sandwich when he got in the car before falling asleep for 1hr DS2 went to sleep at home which meant I had time for nice cuppa and snack!

Day 1 was fine, until we got home.... DS1 and I played checkers and he lost and threw a tantrum which really really annoyed me for some reason so I was in a huff all afternoon. Which one of us is supposed to be the mature one!?

Day 2 fine so far. How many more to go? TBH we usually get on fine. I just don't like it ...

settling in went well talked to some mums and children, then dd run into Mortlake road to say hello to a friend and I nearly died!

think we will be going to the playground this afternoon as I am too tired and cranky to be indoors and it is a nice day

Went to plagroup today in Twicks which was big success as it kept both boys entertained, I spent some time with friend, came home and they both ate their lunch and DS2 is some sort of coma as he's been asleep ever! Think I will also play out this afternoon at shady park. Too nice to stay in despite feeling tired

Hello! Took us one whole hour to get home from school through the park. Conkers, leaves, playground etc etc ...

vbus - I had chilli-cumin-coriander omlette with leftover rice. Yum!

We have the traffic club books too but they just lie about until they are recycled...

Slng - omlette sounds nice. Park was fun, we seemed to spend ages there too.

Have teacher visit tom, better tidy up the house

hello park would have been great vbus but dd parked herself on the sofa and barely moves until 5pm all the excitement took its toll

Poor DS2 will be deprived of his best friends at nursery when they go to school later this month. He really ought to make friends with people his own age ...

hi all

busy morning here went to my fat ladies club dragging dd along then to buy school shoes which she is doing her best to scuff already then playground, I need a rest

funny weather really hot when the sun shines but quite cold in clouds

tilly did not manage to resist buying the last book am trying to hold off reading he last 2 until after the lecture/ school day on Saturday as I seriously need to prep but am having withdrawal symptoms already

am missing running should make an effort go early tomorrow morning this only going at weekends is no good

slng meant to say it is hard for them leaving separating from friends they really start feeling it now
she does start school on Wednesday, it has been a protracted process but I think it is working well so far

Teachers just left, they seem v.nice. DS1 was quite shy and didn't say much but was sad when they left and said he wanted them to come back! They mostly asked him all about the things he likes playing with so they could get them ready for his arrival. I think he is feeling miffed he won't see some of his old friends from preschool as they are not in the same class All part of growing up I suppose

Been to new playground this morning already, may just chill out this afternoon, trying to put off shoe buying til tom...

Sfx - can you go running in evenings?

I will go running tomorrow morning even if only 2 miles evenings are tricky here
it is only a week until it all goes back to normal

I'm now quite pleased now IL's on their way, it will help plug the gap btw now and starting nursery, hopefully it help will take Ds1 mind of any anxieety that's starting to build up. Sometimes he says he doesn't want to go to nursery but other times seems v. animated and excited about going

Anyway banana bread soming out of oven soon.

Think I might start art class tonight. Wasn't going to go as am tired but DH now said he'll be back earlier, so I might as well strike while the iron's hot so to speak. Only thing is I have not prepared anything for class, hope it won't cause too much probs for 1st lesson.

Sfx/Tilly - guess what? Kew G just called and said someone found my pass so it's being sent back to me, yipeee

about school anxiety prior to the play morning dd had bad dreams for a few days and they all seemed to involve being left alone, but none since then so I guess most of her fears have been eased

no idea what to cook for dinner nearly giving in to dd's idea of past yet again
