August transfers 🐣🍀☀️

Hi - I haven’t seen a thread for August transfers, if anyone wants to join?

I’m on a natural FET protocol. I have a day 11 scan on 30th July and could potentially be transferring on 6 or 7th August.

This will be my third transfer. I’ve had 1 fresh (unsuccessful) and 1 FET (chemical). I’m 39. I achieved 6 embryos from my 1st cycle and not expecting to start another cycle if these embryos don’t work out.

Hi @InWithPeaceOutWithStress I remember you from the June group - sorry to hear your June transfer didn’t work out either ❤️ I’m back trying again too! Currently downregulating for my 7th transfer, if all goes well it will hopefully be mid-August some time. How are you getting on?

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 24/07/2026 17:40

@Sunnydaysahead1 I’m feeling fine in myself right now and happy with my protocol. I also feel calmer about the transfer having done it a couple of times and know what to expect.

On the other hand, my expectation that this will actually result in pregnancy is fairly low…

Sorry your June transfer didn’t work out either and you’re on your 7th. How are you feeling about it?

@InWithPeaceOutWithStress That’s really good you feel happy with your protocol, are you doing anything differently this time? I’m sorry to hear your expectations are low though, I totally know the feeling!

I’m feeling pretty ok at the moment thanks, but I know as I get closer I’ll probably start getting more anxious. I’m just trying to keep myself in a positive and optimistic mindset as much as possible… trying to remind myself that just because we’ve not had success yet doesn’t mean it won’t happen!

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 29/07/2026 12:45

@Sunnydaysahead1 no, my protocol is exactly the same!

I liked the modified natural protocol because it limits the medications needed which I tend to have a sensitivity to. Also I can avoid the mental load of tracking and staying on top of different medications. There’s less certainty with this approach and a higher risk of cancellation so I may change my tune if that happens, but right now I’m happy to go with the flow.

Have you had any protocol changes? My clinic seems to be fairly low interventionist and I expect won’t change anything unless I requested them to.

That’s great you’re keeping an optimistic mindset. Of course it’s possible, I need to remind myself of this! A little bit of hope can go a long way 😊

Hello! Please can I join? I will be starting meds in a few weeks for my first transfer (FET). I am due to have the transfer at the end of August or start of September.

Our embryos have been in the freezer since Jan 2025 and we haven’t got around to it yet due to family/health circumstances, so we’re looking forward to getting on with it, but also really scared.

Billythecat · 30/07/2026 16:26

Hi! Can I join too? Currently part way through our first FET cycle- looking to transfer the week after next. Currently on Buserelin injections and progynova and feeling all the hormones! This is our last embryo in the freezer, we were lucky enough to have a successful fresh cycle in 2023 which produced our son and this frozen embryo. This embryo is lower graded so not sure how to feel, trying not to be too negative or also not get excited.

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 30/07/2026 17:08

Yes absolutely @ShortAndIntense, welcome! That’s a really long break between retrieval and FET. Does it feel like now is the right time? Are you nervous more of the medication/procedure or the outcome? I get very nervy on the day of transfer, and also a bit nervy when there are scans/bloods/test results. And then the anxiety ramps up in the TWW!

Welcome @Billythecat. You did so well so far, fingers crossed you get two for two, that would be amazing! I wouldn’t dwell on embryo grading, it only slightly correlates with embryo quality. The grading says nothing about the genetic quality, which is what matters. Hope you’re coping ok with the meds & hormones.

Thank you @InWithPeaceOutWithStress. It does finally feel like it’s the right time. My husband and I are in a good, strong place and feel ready to deal with allll the stresses (well, mostly!). I’ve got a counselling session this week through our clinic, so hoping to pour out some anxiety there.

I don’t feel nervous about the meds or procedure, but really nervous about the TWW and outcome. We’ve got 6 blasts in the freezer altogether, so I’m trying to tell myself that we’ve got more chances if it doesn’t go our way. I was 30 when we did the retrieval and my husband was 34, so I’m hoping age might be on our side - but who knows!

Same as you though, I get nervous at scans/bloods results. How are you feeling at the moment?

Welcome @Ai731a I very much hope you have a successful outcome too. Hope your medicated cycle is going ok so far?

You’re in with a really good chance @ShortAndIntense! 6 embryos made at 30 years old has got to be right up there statistically. Have you plugged your numbers into chat gpt?

I’m feeling quite relaxed now. What will be will be. I had my scan and bloods yesterday & today, and they’re happy for me to go ahead. I’ve just taken my HCG trigger and my transfer will be next Friday.

Hey, @InWithPeaceOutWithStress it's going alright so far; the buserylin has it's side effects. Mostly the hot flashes for me but we move 🤭. How's yours going so far?

ShortAndIntense · Yesterday 20:36

@InWithPeaceOutWithStress I hope we’ve got a good chance - I’ve been going Chat GPT mad 😂🤪 I’m just thinking of all the worst case scenarios. I think I’ll only feel ok when I’ve got a live baby in my arms at this point.

We’ve had 2 naturally conceived pregnancies, one ending in an early miscarriage at 6 weeks, and then in 2024, one ectopic pregnancy which was only discovered after my fallopian ruptured 1 day before our 12 week scan. I lost 2.5 litres of blood and almost lost my life, so it has been a rough ride.

I also have PCOS (managed well, but still worries me) and a possible partial bicornuate uterus, but the clinic don’t think it’s worth testing properly for at the moment.

I’m so glad you’re feeling relaxed and that your test results were all good. I’ve got absolutely everything crossed for you. Wishing you all the very best for next Friday! X
