August transfers 🐣🍀☀️

Hi - I haven’t seen a thread for August transfers, if anyone wants to join?

I’m on a natural FET protocol. I have a day 11 scan on 30th July and could potentially be transferring on 6 or 7th August.

This will be my third transfer. I’ve had 1 fresh (unsuccessful) and 1 FET (chemical). I’m 39. I achieved 6 embryos from my 1st cycle and not expecting to start another cycle if these embryos don’t work out.

absolutely @overwork I am in a bubble of ignorance, I wish I could stay in it for longer!!! when do you test, remind me? are you feeling anything symptoms-wise so far?

overwork · 24/08/2026 17:29

I might go for it early, tomorrow is day 7 post transfer for me. Something should show by then I think. Absolutely no symptoms that I can’t attribute to progesterone. And I keep spotting, which could either be implantation or the start of a period I guess!

Poppy9991 · 24/08/2026 18:10

Thanks you guys! really appreciate the support!! I so wish we could do counselling I’ve been suggesting it for years (IVF adds a layer of stress but we had issues for a long time which got worse since we had our son 2.5 years ago). If nothing changes I don’t think we can survive like this for long whether or not the pregnancy is a success. But he absolutely refuses counselling, not sure what he thinks, that it’s going to be a kind of trial against him?

Still zero symptoms and got some light brown spotting today (12 day post transfer) so kind of freaking out. I will probably do another test tomorrow morning but I’m not sure levels would drop so drastically that quickly and show anything significant on a urine test. I guess I’ll have to monitor this over the next few days and retest every 48h or so. The anxiety never ends….

Good luck for those testing tomorrow!!! Keeping everything crossed for you all!

Poppy9991 · 24/08/2026 18:16

@wishfulbean how are things? Has the spotting settled in your side? are you still testing? I hope all is well and you’re still testing strong. Your scan date must be approaching.

Goodluck to all of you lovely mums and mums to be .. i had ivf before and remember all the stress that comes with it. It certainly strained my marriage - counselling helped but it is still challenging. Infertility adds a mad twist to every aspect in life.

I just started a fresh cycle 4 days ago- Will there be a new thread for sept transfers? Can someone share the link when the time comes xxxx hugs

Well I have tested and there is a line but it is far too faint for this stage in the process, and I definitely feel like my body is gearing up for my period. I think I would have been more surprised if it had worked first transfer, than I am disappointed that it hasn’t if that makes sense! Next steps depend on whether we have a euploid within our 2 left over ones. Lots of luck to those testing today, I hope you get a better result!

Poppy9991 · 25/08/2026 09:10

Hi @overwork , sorry to hear your line is faint and I would also take it with caution, your gut feeling should not be dismissed. But can I ask what day you are? I think clinics in general take whatever positive (even if faint) as a positive. Try and hold on for 48h and re-test with a first morning urine. Take care and there’s still a positive here, you know the embryo implanted which is already a good thing in itself.

overwork · 25/08/2026 09:12

Yes, that is a good thing, and something that we thought would be an issue as I have uterine problems as well. I’m very sure it’s on its way out, but will definitely test again on Thurs before I stop the progesterone

Poppy9991 · 25/08/2026 09:18

Hey @overwork I think you are 7 days post transfer? if yes, a faint line would be expected at this stage still. So please do not stop your meds until advised by your clinic. I know you want to preserve yourself and that’s fine but don’t throw in the towel until you know for sure. Thursday will be day 9 for you, so wait until your test date really.

And as you said you still have 2 other embryos left. But one step at a time really. Try not to retest today and tomorrow if you can hold off. Sending you lots of hugs!

My brown spotting seems to have stopped. I also was thinking this was the end but who knows. It is really outside of our control with these things.

Hoping this pregnancy sticks for you (and me!).

Kooky0105 · 25/08/2026 11:11

@overwork I completely echo what @Poppy9991 said, at this stage your line is very likely to be faint, so def test again in a couple days. Crossing all my fingers for you and for any others testing today. I tested this morning at silly o clock and by some miracle it was positive! I was so prepared for it to be negative that I flipped it over so casually about to throw it in the bin. The fact I have zero symptoms is really confusing me (I haven't felt a single thing, even things I could blame on the progesterone), I guess we're in the same boat @Poppy9991 hope you are doing ok. on my way to the clinic now to do a blood test and hopefully that confirms some good news tomorrow. Hope everyone else is ok xxxx

overwork · 25/08/2026 11:36

Wahoo, congratulations! That’s great news. I hope the blood test double confirms it for you

Poppy9991 · 25/08/2026 14:26

@Kooky0105 Im so happy for you! Congrats!!!!!! Wishing you a very sticky pregnancy!!!

Are you doing two blood tests to track progression with your clinic?

Hey! I think you found the Sept thread on the main page now? Thanks for your kind words and good luck with your Sept cycle!

Vjw26 · 25/08/2026 14:47

Had our egg retrieval yesterday - 9 retrieved 6 mature but only 2 fertilised. One more than our last cycle we transferred on day 2
The clinic called today recommending we go a head with a day 3 transfer on Thursday ! I have mixed emotions around this has anyone on her had a day 3 transfer ?
x

Poppy9991 · 25/08/2026 16:05

@Vjw26 hey! Finally getting there! I always had day 5 transfers but I’ll trust your medical team. There might be loads of reasons for them to suggest a day 3 transfer. They might prefer transferring early instead of risking losing the embryos in culture for example. Are you transferring both embryos then? In my view day 3 is better than day 2 in any case. It means embryos were strong enough to continue developing to day 3. Would the transfer be tomorrow then or on Thursday?

Kooky0105 · 25/08/2026 16:37

@overwork @Poppy9991 thank you so much for your kind words I hope all three of us have smooth pregnancies! We deserve it!

I think it’s just the one blood test at my clinic, they’ve shared the results already and said my levels are great so that’s a relief. I guess I need to stop overthinking the lack of symptoms! Then a scan in 2 weeks and another 2 weeks after that. What about you? Hope things are better today with you and your husband 🩷

Poppy9991 · 25/08/2026 16:50

Your clinic is obviously more thorough than mine ha! I had a home pregnancy test, and then I have a scan in 2 weeks (no blood tests). And if conclusive scan then discharged to antenatal for the usual 12-14w dating scan (or Early pregnancy unit before that if anything’s wrong).

facevalue · 25/08/2026 19:08

I have 2 healthy kids. One was day 2 transfer and one day4. So go for it - if ur dr recommends it then i would trust them.

Magix86 · 25/08/2026 22:18

I'm a bit late to this thread but hoping I can join! Hope everyone is doing ok. We had a fresh transfer of a day 5 4BB today. This is our 3rd round. Our first fresh transfer gave us our son and then our 2nd round banked 3 frozen embryos. This round we've also been able to freeze a couple more but they're all lower graded than our first round which is a bit disheartening. Would love some company to keep me sane during the 2ww!!

Poppy9991 · 26/08/2026 15:47

Hi @Magix86 and welcome! good luck for the 2ww! I’m on my 2WW before scan on my side (been blessed enough to have a positive test after my FET mid Aug, now waiting for my viability scan). It is equally exhausting as nothing is ever sure in this long journey to motherhood! But obv realise how lucky I am to have had a positive test already!

Magix86 · 26/08/2026 18:52

Thanks @Poppy9991 and congratulations on the positive test! That wait for the viability scan is a tough one as there's literally nothing you can do to know things are OK while waiting. I hope it comes round really soon for you!

ShortAndIntense · 27/08/2026 11:57

Hey @Kooky0105 & @overwork I hope things are still going well for you both 💕

I had my final monitoring scan this morning and all looks good! FET booked for 3rd Sept 😬

The oestrogen is kicking my arse though. Don’t know what to do with myself!! I love and hate everything at the same time.

wishfulbean · 27/08/2026 12:44

@Poppy9991 congratulations on your positive test! That’s wonderful news.

Like you I’ve had losses before so I’ve been testing everyday since and thankfully the lines seem good. I must confess that waiting for my scan is like another hellish version of the two week wait. Is it really there? Is it growing? Is it in the right place? Am I losing it yet? I’ve stopped testing everyday as of yesterday as I finally ran out the huge pack of tests I had and in all honesty it wasn’t helping. The bleeding thankfully settled but even with a good line, my anxiety is thinking the worst. Wednesday 2nd can’t fast enough!!

When is scan day for you? I’m so sorry to hear things are unsettled again with your husband, it must be so rubbish to go through that at the same time as all this.

Poppy9991 · 27/08/2026 13:58

@wishfulbean hey! I am testing every other morning ha! So still have a few tests left… I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to stop now ha! Scan is meant to be towards 8-9 September I think. I don’t think I’ll stop stressing anytime soon!

IndigoBluey · 27/08/2026 21:14

I’ve just come across this thread, I’m not an August transfer but expect to have an end of September FET so just looking to get clued up. Awaiting clinic letter with next steps. I think it will be natural modified but not exactly sure what that means as yet. Would be interested to hear if there is anything I should be doing ahead of FET or if it’s all really down to the thickness of uterine wall. I’m feeling a bit clueless having just come out of all the focus around stims and egg collection.
