Hi - I haven’t seen a thread for August transfers, if anyone wants to join?

I’m on a natural FET protocol. I have a day 11 scan on 30th July and could potentially be transferring on 6 or 7th August.

This will be my third transfer. I’ve had 1 fresh (unsuccessful) and 1 FET (chemical). I’m 39. I achieved 6 embryos from my 1st cycle and not expecting to start another cycle if these embryos don’t work out.

Oh really?! My beta is the day after yours, but I’m literally counting the days until I can test. I have 5 pregnancy tests waiting 🤣 I am not known for my patience, although I know from other rounds it can make things worse 🥴

There's really no easy way to come to terms with it. I've been in this position quite a few times now, and it doesn't get any less difficult.

Ah well realistically, although their date is 30th August I can’t imagine they’ll be testing me on Sunday or BH Monday so I think I’ll be doing a home test ahead of the beta on the Tues!

Our clinic is actually open bank holiday, which I was shocked at!

Hi @InfertilitySWS I hope you’re coping well. How far along are you now post transfer and when is your test date? I’m 10DPT and still resisting testing which is insane. My official test date is tomorrow and now I kind of completely switched and want to never test and stay PUPO forever ha! (I used to be a serial early tester). My clinic annoyingly doesn’t do Beta. So if positive urine test they just give you a date for a scan approx 2 weeks later.

@overwork how are you doing? Almost test day for you too I think?

30th is my official day @Poppy9991, but doubt I’ll last that long! Also enjoying the hope which will of course be shattered if the test is negative

I’m 4dp5dt and very impatient 🥴 my beta is 31st and I said I wouldn’t test til 7dp, but I’ll be testing tomorrow because I lack self control haha.

How are you feeling? Mentally and physically? Good on you for waiting! Takes a lot of willpower. Really hope you get a good outcome tomorrow 🥰

@InfertilitySWS thanks! I’m ok but have zero symptoms. Like none whatsoever which of course is a bit concerning but trying not to think about it too much. I have one afternoon and one night to go by and that’s what I’ll focus on.

Really hope you’ll get a good outcome too if testing early! But remember that 5DPT is still very early days so try and test with a very sensitive test like a FRER if trying and wishing you the best.

I believe there are other ladies who have a test day in the coming days? Monday or Tuesday I think. Wishing everyone good luck and a good outcome on this cycle .

I know I’m earlier but I have zero symptoms either. Will keep everything crossed for you.

I’m actually using clear blue early detection, wild I know, blue dye, but with my last my FRERs were dodgy or something because it was a lot easier to monitor progression on the clear blue. My friend who recently got pregnant through IVF had the same issue. Back when I had my first few transfers in 2022 I always used FRERs, but I feel they’ve changed somehow 🧐

BFN for me this morning. I knowwww it’s early but I just feel in my heart that I’m not pregnant. I just don’t really feel any signs at all. Logically, I know anything I do feel could be progesterone, but it’s just a gut feeling. Doesn’t help that I get obsessed about my RHR rising after a transfer and mine significantly dipped this morning. I’ve barely slept. I hate this 😑

Ohh @InfertilitySWSI’m sorry you’re feeling rubbish. But I don’t think many people get a positive quite this early do they? Think you could hold out till Tues and try again (I’m thinking if hCG doubles every 48 hours there might be something to see by then)? I’m with you on not feeling any different though. Absolutely nothing other than constipated from the stupid pessaries. And crampy. Which doesn’t make me think I’m pregnant, more like my period is coming

I’ve never gotten a positive until 7dp but it’s just a gut feeling. My friend got one at 5dp but hers was hatching so was a bit ahead. I’ve had a massive emotional breakdown. I’m so grateful we have our two year old, who was from my third transfer, but I’m just not ready for our family to be done. There’s no way we could afford a whole new egg collection.

Ah I’m sorry you’re constipated, I have the opposite problem! But as someone with IBS, I’d take diarrhoea over constipation any day, so I really feel for you!

There you go then, Tuesday it is (I might do one then too!) I won’t patronise you by saying your gut feeling could be wrong because I know they are powerful things. But we don’t always know in this game, I have seen several a happy surprise on here. Is this your last frozen egg? Maybe you’re just feeling a bit pressured

Ah I know, I don’t know if it’s just self preservation or a real gut feeling. My last frozen embryo from our NHS round yeah, the one in November I got my BFP, but it was unfortunately a partial molar, which was a total rollercoaster, but not the fun type.

I don’t know yet! We did a fresh transfer with the best one, and the other 2 (which are lower graded and only turned blastocyst on day 6) have been biopsied and sent for PGT-A testing

Hi there, I tested positive this morning. Couldn’t believe it as really also don’t feel any symptoms whatsoever. I’m obv super glad but for me it is just a first step as I’ve been through this before only for the tests to become negative just after a few days. So taking every day as it comes and trying not to project myself too much. I hope I won’t turn obsessed about testing every day until my scan.

@InfertilitySWS I am so sorry to hear you got a BFN and have a feeling it didn’t work this time round. As others have said, yes 5DPT is early and whilst some do get positive faint tests that early, I would say don’t count yourself out until 7-8DPT. I know what you mean about gut feeling so I really hope this turns out to be a pleasant surprise. Keep us posted and try to stay distracted.

@InfertilitySWS I tested negative at 5dpt, but then had the squintiest of squinters at 6dpt! Last time I tested positive on 4dpt! So I was ready to call it when I saw that negative test, as well!

I can’t help but feel sorry for the negative outcomes that we had here to date as I’m sure we all relate so much to each others’ journeys and I wish IVF was a much easier journey for us all.

It all feels a bit bittersweet though as we are back at arguing with my husband. What should have been a joyful day for us ended up in a terrible argument tonight. I don’t know if the hormones are speaking, but I also hate saying that as it diminishes my feelings, but I think we are really at a turning point in our relationship which is terrible and scary and sad.

I’m really sorry @Poppy9991, you really don’t need any additional stress right now. I don’t want to be one of those people that gives out unsolicited advice - but have you considered couples counselling? I only say this as it worked like a dream for my husband and I. We really were at the point of divorce.

@InfertilitySWS I am sorry to hear of your BFN, I'll echo what the others have said about it still being early - I am crossing my fingers that it could definitely change for you...

Ah. Well that’s not good to hear. Is it just the stress of the infertility and IVF taking its toll? Such a rollercoaster of emotions for you, when it should be a time of joy, I’m sorry.
