Hi - I haven’t seen a thread for August transfers, if anyone wants to join?

I’m on a natural FET protocol. I have a day 11 scan on 30th July and could potentially be transferring on 6 or 7th August.

This will be my third transfer. I’ve had 1 fresh (unsuccessful) and 1 FET (chemical). I’m 39. I achieved 6 embryos from my 1st cycle and not expecting to start another cycle if these embryos don’t work out.

has anyone done this? Getting your immature eggs to mature then rescue icsi?

we had ICSI but I’ve not heard of the study. Sounds interesting, hopefully someone can help.

Has anyone else gotten nausea and vertigo from cyclogest and progynova? I had next to no pregnancy symptoms with my first and she was from an FET. Two weeks since I started meds and I can’t lay down without the room spinning.

Hi everyone, so we had our day 3 transfer on the 27th and I tested this morning a day early from our official test day and we got a positive. I‘m honestly gobsmacked this is the first time in 11 years we have ever had a positive result.
we used the a strip test and a clear blue digital too but this did say I was only 1-2 weeks pregnant when really I should be approaching the 4 week mark

has anyone else come across this ?! I want to enjoy the moment and take this is a win but can’t help but feel anxious !

wow - congratulations @Vjw26 ! 11 years is a long time so you must be over the moon and in complete shock. What lovely news 🥰

The 1-2 weeks is completely normal at this stage, don’t panic. Those tests base weeks since “ovulation”, rather than since last period (the way NHS dates pregnancies), so if you add 2 weeks on to whatever it says that’s where you should be.

I used them in my first pregnancy and to be honest I found them quite anxiety inducing (so actively avoid them now) as they can be a bit inaccurate, so please don’t spend too much time dwelling on what they say vs. where you are up to.

Do you mind me asking how many lubion injections your clinic introduced? Mine only added one, and then their protocol is not to retest again once that’s been added.

Hello @AnonTTC! I’m ok, just very tired!! I’m sleeping 11 hours a night and it still doesn’t feel like enough. How are you?

Of course, they added one injection per day and an additional 2 pessaries. So in total, 4 cyclogest per day, 3 uterogestan and 1 lubion injection.

I was retested on Monday morning (after 4 days of increased meds) and my levels had gone from 29 to 64.5.

I was nervous about needing more lubion because that would have cost us £300 a week and we’d really struggle with that. The nurse doing the repeat blood test said don’t worry because one lubion per day should make the levels shoot up - and they did! - so hopefully that’s some comfort!

Hi everyone! It’s been a while. Took a break from the chat cause new joiners were at a different point in the process but to summarise I had my transfer on the 12 Aug and since then got my positive test, and after that whilst waiting for my scan had a big scare one evening where I had a gush of bright red blood… and then went to the EPU where they scanned me and saw a HB! over the moon!!! Wanted to share in case others go through this. They told me is is common and due to something called a SCH next to the sac. No known reason but it happens (apparently even more in IVF for some reason). Bleeding only lasted 2h for me. Of course everyone is different and if you experience fresh red bleeding you should be seen (brown spotting is old blood and totally normal and expected). Anyway, so now referred to the antenatal care and waiting for the appointment with the midwife and then the “dating” scan around 12-14w (but with IVF we already know when conception happened).

I’m 7w tomorrow so that’s another 5 to 7w wait until that next scan. Why does it always feel like you have to wait for the next step in this journey!

Will keep an eye here for your results hoping to see much more positive for our Aug/Sept cohort! And hoping my pregnancy carries on as normal and expected!! Never ending anxiety!

Thanks for the reassurance @ShortAndIntense - I think my brain is just wired to be looking for all potential dangers at the moment! I was only on 2 x pessaries a day, and my level was 23 so they added 1 x Lubion and don't retest. I think that is why I am worrying because I see other's on protocols with more pessaries/injections, but most of the guidance I have seen is similar to what you have said where 1 Lubion is enough of a boost. I guess I will have to just trust the clinic!

I agree with @Poppy9991 - being tired is definitely a good sign! So hard to tell what is medication and what is pregnancy symptoms isn't it? Hang in there! You've done the bulk of waiting now so hopefully not long to go.

And yes @Poppy9991 - I was on the December thread!! Feels equal parts a long time ago and also as if I have only blinked and here we are, ha. Congratulations on your positive test & seeing the heartbeat - so pleased for you. I can imagine that was very scary seeing a gush of red blood, but it is a good reminder that it can be normal and not mean the worst so thank you for sharing. Hopefully no more scares for you between now & your 12 week scan.. and yes, everything feels like a never ending wait 🤣 xx
