August transfers 🐣🍀☀️

Hi - I haven’t seen a thread for August transfers, if anyone wants to join?

I’m on a natural FET protocol. I have a day 11 scan on 30th July and could potentially be transferring on 6 or 7th August.

This will be my third transfer. I’ve had 1 fresh (unsuccessful) and 1 FET (chemical). I’m 39. I achieved 6 embryos from my 1st cycle and not expecting to start another cycle if these embryos don’t work out.

Hello,

Wondering if I can join here? Not technically an August transfer, but started our cycle this month and transfer provisionally booked for 7th September. I have my lining scan on Tuesday to check if we are ready to proceed.

We started IVF last September, where we were lucky to get a great number of embryos. We had to have a break, then a FET in December which resulted in pregnancy but unfortunately miscarried in early Jan. We then had another FET in April, which again resulted in pregnancy and then another early loss. We've had some time off for testing, and are now going for FET#3.. feeling very nervous & apprehensive but also trying to be optimistic that we have a slightly different protocol this time so hoping for the best.

Congratulations to those that have already received positive tests on this thread, and I can definitely appreciate the nerves some of you have between testing positive and the first scan. The difference between how we think pregnancy will go and the reality of it (for some of us) are very different aren't they!? I do envy people who get a positive test and can just be excited as they have never known any different.

Hello @AnonTTC! Great to have you here. It looks like our transfers will be 4 days apart. I’m booked for my first FET on 3rd Sept. How are you feeling on the meds? I’ve been a raging weirdo all week and very restless 🫠 due to start progesterone tomorrow.

AnonTTC · 29/08/2026 10:08

Hey @ShortAndIntense - oh that is good to know! It’s always nice to have somebody quite close to you so you can keep each other company in the relentless wait to test 🤣

Not too bad on the meds currently thanks. I am such a cocktail this time around though! Very high oestrogen which makes me quite tired & emotional, then I am on antibiotics plus aspirin and a load of different supplements - it’s hard to remember to take them all! How about you? Are you on similar or a different protocol?
I start steroids and progesterone around transfer which I’m not looking forward to. The progesterone always makes me feel quite bloated and it’s the first time trying steroids so we will see, but the side effects sound nasty!

PigeonPigeon · 29/08/2026 10:28

Hello all, I was hoping I could join. I have my first FET on Monday, so very end of August haha. We did our first egg collection back in May, ended up freezing all and then took some time to recover before a transfer. Im doing a medicated cycle so the estrogen and progesterone have been intense so far, but fingers crossed it will be worth it.

overwork · 30/08/2026 10:02

Definitely negative for me now! I’ve opted to stop the progesterone and just waiting for my period now. Have my beta at the clinic next week and then presumably a discussion with my consultant regarding next steps

ShortAndIntense · 30/08/2026 15:47

@AnonTTC yes definitely nice to have someone close in dates!

I’m on a similar sort of protocol. 6mg of oestrogen per day, aspirin, and progesterone pessaries 3x a day. I also take Metformin because I’ve got PCOS. And of course allll the supplements, folic acid etc. I counted the other day and it’s currently 19 tablets a day 🫠 it is such a nightmare to remember! I’ve got one of those 4 compartment pill boxes for each day of the week - game changer!

My lining was 10.7mm when I went for my monitoring scan on Thursday, and I started progesterone yesterday.

My husband is getting on my nerves even though he’s doing nothing wrong. 😑

I hope all goes well for you with the steroids.

ShortAndIntense · 30/08/2026 15:49

So sorry to hear that @overwork. I hope you’ve got some nice comforting things planned as much as possible. It’s just so so shit.

ShortAndIntense · 30/08/2026 15:51

Hello @PigeonPigeon, we’ll be having transfers in the same week! Mine is on Thursday. It is also my first FET too, but ours have been in the freezer since January 2025 so it has been a long time coming!

I hope everything goes smoothly for you tomorrow x

Poppy9991 · 30/08/2026 16:45

@overwork I am so sorry to hear about your negative test. I hope you are surrounded and can take time to process the news. Hopefully some good news came from testing of your remaining embryos. Wishing you much luck in the future. 🌸

Kooky0105 · 01/09/2026 12:46

@overwork I am so sorry to hear of your negative test. I was in this exact same boat last month and it is so tough. Sending you hugs and all the luck in the world for your next round, fingers crossed you get a different outcome

PcosSOS · 01/09/2026 14:39

Do you mind if I join? We are trying for baby #2 after a FET who is now 3.5. I’m on 8mg of progynova and I don’t remember irritation like this last time. The rage is real

Ah yes sounds very similar. I am on 2 of the patches, and then 12mg of oestrogen a day!! Such a high dose, and I actually think it is really unnecessary as for my first FET I got to where I needed to be on patches alone. However, weirdly for my last one my lining was slow so we introduced tablets (12mg) too and it seems this time they have started me on that from the outset to avoid delays, which I am grateful for but similar to you @PcosSOS my emotional outbursts are out of control!! I constantly feel like I will cry and just angry/uptight. Horrible really.. but if it gets us the end result I obviously don't mind!

I wish my clinic would prescribe Metformin but they don't. I used to take Inositol but I don't know if it did much for me and it was just another thing to remember so I refined my supplements down a little.

Your lining sounds perfect!! I had my scan this morning and mine was 7.3mm (this is pretty standard for me) and my transfer is officially confirmed for next Monday (7th)! I am feeling equal parts excited and terrified after our previous experiences, but I am hoping this new protocol is our secret to success!

Good luck to everybody who is transferring this week, or testing. & sorry to those who haven't got the result they wanted on this occasion.

IndigoBluey · 01/09/2026 18:37

Hello @AnonTTC would you mind sharing the supplements you’re on please? I’m still taking folic acid and Coq10 but wondering whether to throw anything else in or if it is maybe too late for a Sept FET. Thanks

AnonTTC · 01/09/2026 19:59

Hi @IndigoBluey - course :) I have tried a lot, but with all of the IVF meds I tried to strip it back to one’s my clinic really recommends/make a difference.

I take wild nutrition fertility support & omega 3’s as well as their vitamin D. I also started a vaginal probiotic this time but not sure if it does anything? When I was thickening my lining I also took vitamin E and l-arginine as I’d read that can help. Don’t take anything outside of that really. As mentioned, I did used to take inositol but didn’t really do much for me - have heard it’s worked wonders for some people with PCOS though! I did take co-Q10 when prepping for my egg collection but haven’t really taken it since x

ShortAndIntense · 04/09/2026 10:07

Hi everyone, how’s it going? Had my FET yesterday. They’ve put me on lubion because my progesterone was low, so I’m a bit nervous about that. It’s really expensive too. £150 a week, so that’s stressful.

The transfer was… weird. Bon Jovi was blasting in the operating theatre 😂 and they seemed to have a lot of trouble finding my uterus and I was bursting for a wee so it was uncomfortable, but we got there in the end.

and now… we wait! I feel really chilled so far. I made myself a huge meds chart this morning stuck it to the kitchen wall 🤣

AnonTTC · 04/09/2026 11:54

Ahh congratulations @ShortAndIntense - sorry, I can't remember but is this your first transfer?

Annoying about the extra cost for Lubion but also great that they checked and spotted it. I am having my progesterone checked the day before transfer and will also be given Lubion if it's low. However, if that is the case I will be very upset that it could have played a part in our 2 previous miscarriages and will be asking why they don't test it as standard before every transfer!!

Hilarious about the music blasting.. I have never had that before 🤣 Sorry it was uncomfortable but glad it was all successful in the end. Also great that you're feeling chilled. I have always found first few days to be quite comforting but around day 5 I lose my head!! haha.

ShortAndIntense · 04/09/2026 15:09

@AnonTTC yes this is our first one.

Omg I’d be really angry about that too. I assumed it was a routine blood test because they just had it as part of the package and told me to come in for the test. It makes sense to test such a crucial thing. You’d think they would.

How are you feeling about your upcoming transfer on Monday?

AnonTTC · 04/09/2026 15:31

Ahhh so exciting @ShortAndIntense . Also, sorry I meant to say for some reassurance, don't worry about the low progesterone thing.. I know somebody who also found out the same on transfer date and got put on Lubion and she has recently found out hers stuck so it definitely won't have had a negative impact, it is just good that they caught it 🥰

& yes - you'd think so wouldn't you? I am with the NHS though, and whilst I can't fault them for the majority it has become more and more apparent that they do the bare minimum testing wise until they have to. I won't go into it, but it all feels a bit backwards to me!? Surely doing a few extra blood tests is cheaper to the NHS than additional embryo transfers!!?

I am feeling equal parts excited and nervous for the transfer. It has come around so quickly this time (usually I am counting down the days and it's dragging 🤣) but I am also just desperate to know the result already haha. Keeping everything crossed we will get another positive and then this new protocol will do what it needs to do! Do you have some nice plans this weekend to pass the time? & have you decided when you will test? x

PcosSOS · 05/09/2026 08:56

Lol @ShortAndIntense we had 'Funky Town' blasting from the theatre on my second transfer and bizarrely the table malfunctioned so I just kept on rising up in the air. That transfer is now my 3 year old so hopefully weird is a good omen.

We have our date for transfer now - next friday!!

ShortAndIntense · 05/09/2026 10:34

@AnonTTC I said to the doctor on the day that I was glad they spotted it. Fingers crossed! The lubion is making my boobs hurt SO much now though and I’m getting really tired in the evenings 🥱

Absolutely, blood tests are surely cheaper for the NHS! We started with the NHS, but we’re in South Wales and found that gynaecology and reproduction services are absolutely abysmal if it isn’t life threatening.

Time does drag in the lead up doesn’t it?! I’m glad it’s gone quite quick for you this time though. I’ve got everything crossed for you too. I hope it all goes smoothly ❤️

We’ve not got a lot planned really - just going to chill, go on some nice walks and watch a lot of comedy because I read that laughter is good for implantation 🤷🏻‍♀️ probably a load of rubbish! I wanted to get back in the gym asap. Heavy weightlifting is my long time love (thanks PCOS for the extra testosterone 💪🏼) but my husband has convinced me not to yet. I wanted to go and just take it really, REALLY easy with walking and very light weights, but I’ll wait.

I think we’re going to wait until the OTD. DH wants to (he’s a rule follower 🫠) so I’ll probably follow instructions for once in my life 🤣😬
Do you test earlier than the OTD? Have you got much planned to keep you occupied?

ShortAndIntense · 05/09/2026 11:31

@PcosSOS haha! Omg the table!! 🤣 hopefully it is a good omen! 🤞🏼

That’s great that you have a date. How are you feeling?

AnonTTC · 06/09/2026 08:42

Ah well the sore boobs is a good sign it’s doing what it needs to @ShortAndIntense :) definitely enjoy all the rest you can and take advantage of having an excuse to just have some lazy days if you feel like it.

& yes - I can’t believe my embryo transfer is tomorrow! Starting to feel a bit excited about it now. Had some nice plans to distract myself over the weekend.

I tend to the be the same on the exercise front.. I exercise up until the transfer but after that I stick to brisk walks etc. The guidance is so mixed isn’t it?

& don’t blame you for waiting for the official test day! I sometimes find it’s nice to live in the limbo land for a bit haha. Previously we have always tested 11DPT but I think this time I will test at 9DPT, purely because I am going on a girls weekend away at 11DPT and half are pregnant and I just feel like I need to know where I’m at before then and give myself time to process any emotions I might have.

Your story made me laugh @PcosSOS 🤣 exciting you have a transfer date now!

AnonTTC · 06/09/2026 14:08

Hello again @ShortAndIntense - do you mind me asking what kind of level your progesterone was for them to put you on the lubion?

I had mine tested this morning and it looks quite low (23nmol) so I am assuming I’ll be given lubion too but just waiting to hear. I am actually quite upset that this could have been our problem the whole time and if we’d known we could have potentially avoided 2 losses, and seriously wondering why this isn’t a routine screen. I’m so glad yours has been tested on your first round!! On the positive side, I am very happy it has now been flagged and could potentially be the answer we’ve been searching for. I think if we are lucky enough to get another positive test it will massively help me feel like we have more of a security blanket in place!! X

ShortAndIntense · 06/09/2026 17:10

Hi @AnonTTC of course, mine was 29. They told me anything under 45 needs extra support.

I can totally understand your frustration! It should be a routine test. I’m glad they’ve tested it for you now.

Sending you lots of positivity for tomorrow 💕💪🏼

AnonTTC · 06/09/2026 17:22

Ah very similar then @ShortAndIntense .. I did ask my clinic if I should worry (despite already knowing the answer to this and the fact I implanted in previous rounds fine 🤣) and they said no, the injections do their thing pretty quickly!

Funny we are TWW pals and now also lubion pals haha.

Thank you so much for your good wishes. I will let you know how we get on 💕
