August transfers 🐣🍀☀️

Hi - I haven’t seen a thread for August transfers, if anyone wants to join?

I’m on a natural FET protocol. I have a day 11 scan on 30th July and could potentially be transferring on 6 or 7th August.

This will be my third transfer. I’ve had 1 fresh (unsuccessful) and 1 FET (chemical). I’m 39. I achieved 6 embryos from my 1st cycle and not expecting to start another cycle if these embryos don’t work out.

Congratulations! What fabulous news! Sorry to hear you’re not having a good time of it @Poppy9991, this does not sound like the low stress 2WW the doctor ordered!

ShortAndIntense · 18/08/2026 12:40

Hi everyone, sorry I haven’t updated for a while. I’ve just read through the thread properly. I’m so sorry to hear some of you have had bad news over the last couple of weeks.

@ASGIRC I can’t believe what has happened to you! I can’t imagine how you feel - but huge congratulations 🙌🏼 I hope all continues to go well for you.

and fabulous news @wishfulbean ♥️ congrats!!!

I had my baseline scan this morning. All looking good so I’ve got the green light to start oestrogen and aspirin today. I have another scan next week, and then things being well, FET should happen on 3rd Sept. We’re transferring a 5-day 3AB 🤞🏼 it’s our first transfer. We’ve got 6 frozen embryos in total - all of them are ABs, BAs or BBs (but none tested). I don’t think we’ll do another round if these don’t work.

ASGIRC · 18/08/2026 13:05

@wishfulbean congratulations!!!!

@ShortAndIntense ABs and BAs are really good too!!

Hi everyone, can I join? I had my transfer last Tues so I’m currently 7dp5dt. Annoyingly my clinic ask to test 2 weeks post transfer so I have another week to go! It’s really dragging… I have absolutely zero symptoms whatsoever so that’s worrying me a little. How are others feeling? This is my 3rd transfer - 1st was successful with no symptoms in the first week, but cramps and bleeding in the second. 2nd was back in July and unsuccessful. Lots of cramping throughout! But this time absolutely nothing whatsoever….

Kooky0105 · 18/08/2026 16:51

I meant to add - somehow I’m going to hold out testing until OTD (like I did the last few times). I think it’s so I can be in denial vs knowing it hasn’t worked..

Billythecat · 18/08/2026 20:51

@wishfulbean thank you! The 2ww is really dragging this time, at least a few days down now :)

@Poppy9991 we are one day apart then! My OTD is Monday, no real temptation to test early- think I would really struggle with a negative and then having to keep on the medications etc until the OTD. How have you been finding the 2ww?

Transfer went ok- was actually pretty uncomfortable, particularly because I took the fully bladder advice a bit too seriously 😂 and then the clinic were running late. Literally just had my eyes closed wishing I was somewhere else apart from the moment we could see the transfer happen on the screen! Feeling thoroughly rubbish with progesterone but I know each symptom is most likely to be the medications, finding that quite helpful to not read into anything much. I don’t remember really feeling anything particular last time apart from some cramping and that was a positive. I find it quite helpful that I can’t remember the detail of how I felt then!

Work is really busy currently so quite glad of the distraction really.

Hope you are all getting on ok!

SunshineCorazon24 · 18/08/2026 22:36

I hear you @Poppy9991. I'm trying my best to stay distracted so I don't test before 7dp5dt as I don't want unwarranted worry about a false negative. Anyway, thinking of you today. Sprinkling baby dusts your way!

Congrats on your wee blastocyst @overwork! Hope your transfer goes well.

Thanks for sharing your amazing news @wishfulbean. Congrats! Hope everything progresses well - keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you.🤞

Poppy9991 · 19/08/2026 09:06

I stupidly forgot to test this morning. Was super tired and went to the loo like a zombie. Oh well! I guess it’s for the best! I’ll test tomorrow morning then at 8dpt… The good news is that my internet is back after I gave them an earful yesterday and sent legalistic emails to them (thanks chatGPT). So I think I’m going to binge on Lord of the rings and the Hobbit today! Work has been blissfully quiet and I’m working from home most days so not complaining.

@Billythecat I hear you on the full bladder advice ha! I remember one particular transfer where my bladder was so full I was just focusing on not peeing on the consultant… That was so painful too that time! I’ve learnt my lesson!

Wishing everyone who is meant to test today or tomorrow good news!

Poppy9991 · 19/08/2026 09:11

Hi @Kooky0105 welcome! How are you coping? Not an early tester then I guess? I understand that ignorance is bliss sometimes! But I kind of want to know as soon as possible on my side to prepare myself mentally. Never been the patient type. Anyway, I also have zero symptoms, or some days maybe but I attribute them to the meds in order to not get my hopes high. When I was pregnant with my son I had loads of symptoms but they kind of started much later. So I have nothing to compare. Also, previous failed transfers felt like I had loads of symptoms so for me it doesn’t mean much.

2WW is indeed very long - and I was wondering why it was still called the 2WW when most clinics now test at 10-11 days. But I guess some still ask for two full weeks! I guess you fully rule out chemicals at that stage. Good luck with the wait.

Poppy9991 · 19/08/2026 09:22

@ShortAndIntense this is a pretty great result for your cycle!!! 6 blasto is amazing and they’re all great rate (A-B are the best and the number is not that important in my opinion). And in any case they only freeze the good ones that have a good chance of implanting! So you’re off to a terrific start! And it’s an amazing luxury to have some buffer in case it doesn’t work first time round. Still, I wish you a successful transfer on the 3rd!

@ASGIRC don’t want to bother you on your leave but do you know why they keep testing and scanning you even after seeing a heartbeat? Is it your clinic protocol or is it because they were worried about viability initially? Do you know at what point they’ll discharge you to the maternity/midwife care? I’m asking cause my clinic just does one scan and if they see anything (embryo, sac, or heartbeat) they automatically discharge you. Which I find harsh ha! I wish we could be able to do more reassuring scans given all we go through to get there! So in a way I guess you’re lucky to have the extra care, but was just curious.

wishfulbean · 19/08/2026 12:59

Thank you for all the well wishes. I’m still testing and super anxious due to multiple chemical pregnancies over the last few years. I had a bit of spotting last night which freaked me out but it seems to have settled today and my test is still looking strong. It’s not a dye stealer but I don’t know if that’s something I should be seeing yet?

@Billythecat my bladder was so full for the transfer I ended up having to partially empty my bladder 5 times and it was still very full! Having said that my transfer was complicated and took three different people having a go trying to find my elusive cervix so it was over a longer period of time than normal but still… my bladder was definitely being an over achiever 😂. Maybe it was making a point after they punctured it during egg collection 🫣.

@Poppy9991 Another day being pupo! So easy to miss testing when you have a zombie like morning. Wishing you lots of luck for test day take two!

ASGIRC · 19/08/2026 18:17

@Poppy9991 my initial scan was done at urgent care, not my clinic. My clinic had "discharged me" as a chemical. When it became clear it wasn't, I demanded a viability scan (which is included in my packet).
However, I'm unsure they'll discharge me straight away, because in cases like mine, a heartbeat doesn't mean I'm out of the woods, as most pregnancies with slow rising betas stop before the end of the 1st trimester, even when a HB has been seen.

In any case, I have my first OB appt booked for the 7th of September!

Kooky0105 · Yesterday 13:15

@Poppy9991 you tested this morning I guess - I really hope you got a positive!!! Sending you love either way

ps I totally understand the rationale re early testing, it makes complete sense!!! I have been tempted for sure but trying to hold off - I have some fun plans this weekend and I think I’d rather be in blissful ignorance….

Poppy9991 · Yesterday 13:32

Hi @Kooky0105 thanks for the kind words. After careful thinking and discussing (finally) with my husband I’ve decided to hold off testing until the weekend. I guess not testing yesterday made me realise it was nice not obsessing around squinter tests. The moment I start testing I won’t stop. So I’ve decided to hold off. Have some activities planned on the weekend, so either way, even if I get bad news I’ll be busy.

I hope everyone else is doing fine!

SunshineCorazon24 · Yesterday 18:19

I tested today and got a BFN. 😭

I’m so sorry, a negative here too. Review booked in for Monday so will assess the next steps then. Have a 4BC and a 4CB in the freezer but the thought of going through another FET is filling me with anxiety currently.

InfertilitySWS · Today 06:18

Hi everyone, just jumping on. Currently 3dp5dt with a 3BB. We have a toddler from the same batch and had a partial molar in November. This is our last one. I feel like everything is very quiet down there which is worrying me. Very few cramps or twinges of note at all. Also worried about the grading because others have always been 4’s, even though I know grading isn’t everything. I hate the tww 😭
