August transfers 🐣🍀☀️

Hi - I haven’t seen a thread for August transfers, if anyone wants to join?

I’m on a natural FET protocol. I have a day 11 scan on 30th July and could potentially be transferring on 6 or 7th August.

This will be my third transfer. I’ve had 1 fresh (unsuccessful) and 1 FET (chemical). I’m 39. I achieved 6 embryos from my 1st cycle and not expecting to start another cycle if these embryos don’t work out.

Sorry to hear that @GrapefruitGin . I almost tested this morning but trying to stick to my plan to wait until Friday (7dpt). I’m off work Friday to Sunday so ideally I’ll delay the testing etc until then. I think by 8 and 9dpt it’s pretty definitive.

Good luck with your FET this month @ASGIRC . Do you have a rough date? I’ll have 3 embryos left after this one too.

Hi @hopefullmiracle - good luck with your cycle, you mentioned injections - are you doing an egg retrieval or another FET?

How are you getting on @ThatAmberSeal did you manage to freeze any?

@Sunnydaysahead1 @Ai731a @Billythecat @ShortAndIntense how are you all doing, do you have dates for your transfers yet?

@InWithPeaceOutWithStress ughhhhh my "chemical" isn't a chemical at all, it's still evolving, currently doubling appropriately, but doctors still think it won't be viable, so stuck in limbo! It's likely to be September (if it turns out it is definitely non viable, this one, as I'm currently still very much pregnant, even after stopping all. Meds last Friday! Doing another beta tomorrow)

It’s very sensible to hold off til then, I will hang on until my bloods on Monday now I think. Hope you are coping well during your wait.

Hi, yes we are looking to hopefully last week of August. How is it going for you 🙂

Hi @InWithPeaceOutWithStress unfortunately I got the call to say that neither of the other 2 embryos were suitable for freezing so my hopes this cycle are pinned on my transfer.

It's really disappointing but we'll see what test day brings. I'm finding it hard to be optimistic about this round.

Fingers crossed for your test later this week. 💐

Sorry to hear that @ThatAmberSeal . I’ve got all my fingers crossed for you.

How are you doing on the testing front? I’m so impressed with anyone who can hold out until official test day - is that still your plan and how are you managing it? I find the temptation to test early irresistible.

Hahaha yes!!

I'm an early tester and I own it! I usually test out the trigger and then from d4pt! I don't like surprises, so knowing roughly what to expect is a must for me!!

wishfulbean · 11/08/2026 18:51

Hello all! Hoping to join this thread as I had an FET on 5th August and going crazy in the two week wait!

My official test date is 18th which seems longer than previous rounds (13 days). My clinic also doesn’t do blood tests so it’s urine test only which just adds to the frustration with the wait to be honest!

How long until you are all told to test? Do your clinics do blood tests?

ThatAmberSeal · 11/08/2026 20:09

@InWithPeaceOutWithStress @ASGIRC I can't say I'm not going a bit crazy waiting but I'm going to hold out til test day on Saturday.

I'm a bit nervous for this test day now - knowing it's our one chance. I want it to be test day but also I'd be happy to be blissfully unaware.

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 11/08/2026 21:37

Hi @wishfulbean. My clinic doesn’t do blood tests either and my official test day is 13dpt which will be the 20th August. I find it ridiculous tbh. The nurses are not interested in any results before then and admonish you if you admit to taking a test earlier.

OP posts:
ASGIRC · 11/08/2026 21:59

@wishfulbean my clinic does 9dpt OTD, with a proper blood test. And I was told, coming out of the transfer, that if I did test earlier, whatever I saw on d7pt was probably accurate, which I felt was very normal, that people would test earlier.

I've since found I'm in the minority of early testers 😂

@InWithPeaceOutWithStress that's ridiculous. What do you gain by waiting until 13dpt?!?! When it's not even a blood test? If you're just gonna pee on a stick, might as well do it earlier! 13dpt is almost a week after your period is late, if you have a 28 day cycle!

@ThatAmberSeal ahh yes... The ignorance is quite good.

wishfulbean · 11/08/2026 22:27

@InWithPeaceOutWithStressour clinics are the same 13dpt and only urine tests! It might be the same clinic to be fair as it think it’s quite unusual! I’m considering doing the test the day before as it’s a non-working day so I’ll be able to process the results!

@ASGIRCsooo I have been testing but I haven’t looked at the results 🫣. I have a history of chemical pregnancy so even if I get a positive I want to see the line progression to manage my expectations before a scan. Yet another reason I’m annoyed the clinic won’t do blood tests!

ASGIRC · 11/08/2026 22:56

@wishfulbean how are you managung that?!?!

And I get that! It's such a roller coaster... I am supposedly having a chemical right now (97 on 9dpt and 135 on 11dpt, but then it started picking up speed, and now... I don't know what's happening).

And even if it turns out it is viable, I will be stressed the whole way through... My first FET was much simpler 😅

Anyway, hope you get the BFP!!!!!

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 12/08/2026 07:58

@ASGIRC I’m glad you agree it’s ridiculous! It’s one of the most frustrating things about my clinic. We’re expected to go along with this delusion that a test result doesn’t count until 13dpt. Even once you start lightly bleeding, you have to keep taking progesterone and unnaturally extending the time until you can stop progesterone and get your full bleed.

They don’t offer HCG blood tests at all. They rely purely on home pregnancy tests and then a 7 week scan. They don’t have a good process for managing chemical pregnancies imo.

Yes I expect it’s the same clinic @wishfulbean.

Hiyaaaa, hope you don’t mind me jumping onto this thread! It’s bloody exhausting, isn’t it?! 😂
I’m currently on day 3 of my stims for my second cycle. We retrieved 5 eggs on my first round, but only one successfully fertilised, so we ended up having a 2-day transfer. Unfortunately it was a failed transfer in July, so I’m really hoping we have a little more luck this time around with ICSI 🤞🏼🥹
Wishing everyone lots of luck with their August transfers! 💕✨

wishfulbean · 12/08/2026 15:51

@ASGIRCIt really is a roller coaster of emotions -it’s so intense! It’s completely normal to feel uncertain especially with blood test numbers being unclear! I remember my first FET felt so much more straightforward, too. Wishing you lots of sticky embryo vibes and hope those numbers keep climbing! Do you have more bloods booked in?

ASGIRC · 12/08/2026 15:59

@wishfulbean I'm hoping todays result will be definitive. In that it either they didn't climb as they should, signifying a loss, or they did, which means it might be viable, and then I think I'll wait for a scan, which would be no different to any other BFP.
I'll discuss it with my doctor, once I get the results

wishfulbean · 12/08/2026 16:05

@Vjw26 Hi! I had a similar round to you before with hardly any fertilised with regular IVF (for me the issues is my poor little rubbish quality eggs) and used ICSI this time and had 4 out of 5 fertilise! Gave me a much better chance to get my satisfactory/good quality little August transfer. I hope you get a good increase in fertilisation too!

overwork · 12/08/2026 18:36

Ooh @wishfulbeanI needed to read that today! I’m also on my second round, all ours fertilised but they gave up after day 3. We thought that my old, rubbish eggs would be the issue but that suggested that the sperm might need a helping hand too. I have my egg collection tomorrow and they’re doing PICSI

ambyc · 12/08/2026 20:56

Hi everyone! I had my fet on monday so 2dpt, this is our 3rd attempt and our final nhs funded cycle so nervous 😅

Billythecat · 12/08/2026 22:05

Hi, all been a bit chaotic and forgot to update. We are hopefully having our transfer tomorrow as long as our embryo survives the thaw. Feel super nervous, have been given very little info about how the FET will go (logistics wise) and cannot remember details about my last transfer. Keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes to plan tomorrow. Have Friday booked off work just to have a nice chilled day :)

@ambyc Wishing you luck in your last NHS round!

wishfulbean · 13/08/2026 17:02

@overworkoh interesting! I had to look up PICSI as I hadn’t heard of it before that sounds like such a useful technique!
