August transfers 🐣🍀☀️

Hi - I haven’t seen a thread for August transfers, if anyone wants to join?

I’m on a natural FET protocol. I have a day 11 scan on 30th July and could potentially be transferring on 6 or 7th August.

This will be my third transfer. I’ve had 1 fresh (unsuccessful) and 1 FET (chemical). I’m 39. I achieved 6 embryos from my 1st cycle and not expecting to start another cycle if these embryos don’t work out.

Hi. Joining this chat with hopes of keeping myself distracted during the dreadful 2-week wait. I just had my FET this morning. This is our last frozen embryo from our 2nd cycle, so the pressure is on.

Around this time last year, I got a BFP after a successful FET - but unfortunately, I miscarried in November. I'm hoping we'll have better luck this year.

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 14/08/2026 10:59

7dpt and a negative for me unfortunately.

Sorry to hear that @InWithPeaceOutWithStress
Negative test for me this morning too.

Poppy9991 · 15/08/2026 16:57

Hello, can I join please? Sorry for joining late, I had my transfer last Wednesday. It is our 4th FET from our 6 embryo batch. So feeling a bit demotivated and not really hopeful. I’m on day 3 post transfer and definitely an early tester usually (the kind that likes to follow the line progression as had 3 chemicals before). But this time round I don’t feel to much urgency to test (yet) and happy to test on day 7 (still earlier than day 11 official test day but that’s the best I can do).

Really sorry to hear about the ladies who had negative tests so far. Wishing you luck for next rounds.

Good luck to everyone!

wishfulbean · 15/08/2026 18:26

@InWithPeaceOutWithStress and @ThatAmberSeal I’m so sorry to hear about your negative tests. I hope you are both able to take some time this weekend to process and look after yourselves

Poppy9991 · 17/08/2026 12:17

Hi everyone, I hope everyone had a good weekend and holding up well. I’m on 5dpt and resisting testing until Wednesday I think. Strong history of chemicals and early miscarriages so not getting my hopes high! Especially since the embryo we transferred was not top grade (3BC).

Ive gone through the whole thread so will try to get it right:

@Sunnydaysahead1 I think you were planning to transfer sometime mid-Aug, did you already or do you have a date yet?

@ShortAndIntense are you still on for end of Aug on your end? I had 3 miscarriages in the past before I was lucky enough to have my son 2 years ago from IVF (the embryos we are transferring now are from the same batch/cycle from 2023).

@Billythecat you transfered last week didn’t you? my transfer was on Wednesday 12. I hope the 2WW is not too bad! My official test date is Sunday but I think I will test on day 7.

@Gina91 you also transferred last week I think? how did it go and when is your test date?

@ASGIRC I wonder how you are? I am so hoping that your pregnancy sticks! it is roller coasters isn’t it??? I really hope that either way you’re doing fine!

@Ai731a I believe your transfer is only end of August. Is it a fresh transfer then?

@Vjw26 I hope is going well with the stims. When is collection day? I hope you’ll have good results this time round! We had to do ICSI on our side as DH sperm was not on great form (mobility, motility, and dna oxydation).

@overwork I think you had your egg collected last week. I really hope your embryos are developing well and you’ll get a nice call with great results announced. Are you doing a fresh transfer or freeze all?

@ambyc are you still on you 2WW? when is you official test date?

@SunshineCorazon24 I was so sorry to hear about your history of miscarriage last November. That must have been very difficult. Really hope all goes well this time round!!

I hope everyone else is coping well and takes time for themselves and get better results next time. Sending lots of encouragements!

Poppy9991 · 17/08/2026 12:19

@wishfulbean I hope all is going well for you too? have you had you test yet? I hope this one will stick! I had 3 chemicals (that I know of) before. So completely sympathise with your situation.

overwork · 17/08/2026 13:13

Oh hi @Poppy9991youve managed to pull together a really comprehensive update there! Yep I had my egg retrieval on Thursday, and fresh transfer pencilled in for tomorrow (we didn’t have anything to transfer last time so I won’t be holding my breath!) Best of luck for Weds!

Hey hope everything going ok. Mines would be frozen transfer 🙂

Poppy9991 · 17/08/2026 13:33

@overwork hey! good luck for tomorrow! I’ll keep everything crossed for you! Does your clinic only do blastocysts transfer then? I thought that some were doing day 3 if embryos weren’t developing quickly enough. So in a way, good thing if you haven’t heard back yet. Hopefully they are getting there little by little!

@Ai731a oh I see! is it your first transfer? Sorry I think your previous messages were removed so didn’t have the history. I don’t even know how many transfers I had in the past (if I count those I had to have my son too). But basically for this time round, we’ve started in Dec 2025 and tried every 2-3 months with this one being my fourth. And we are lucky enough to still have 2 in the freeEr although they are not too graded! I count myself incredibly lucky to have had a son though. I hope all goes well for you!

overwork · 17/08/2026 13:51

@Poppy9991I’m not sure about a 3 day transfer. First time around we planned to freeze all and PGT-A test them, so I wasn’t on progesterone etc. Now that we know that isn’t a luxury we can afford seeing as we didn’t get any blasts, let alone enough to biopsy, we’re trying out a fresh transfer instead!

ASGIRC · 17/08/2026 15:40

@Poppy9991 aww thanks! I am currently still pregnant! Saw a heartbeat and everything, yesterday. To think this was labelled a chemical by my doctor... (who I've dismissed, by the way, getting a new doctor for follow ups)

Have another scan booked for 1 week from now, and keeping everything crossed that the little embryo is still there, growing away!

Poppy9991 · 17/08/2026 15:48

@ASGIRC OMG I am so so so happy and hyped about it!!! I love these kind of stories!!!! I know you are probably going to be stressed about it until such time a baby is in your arms (I would too!!) but the fact you saw a HB is so encouraging!! Do you have the timeline of HCG progression and why they thought it was a chemical in the first place?

Yea you did well to dismiss the doc! I guess they have a tendency to make us expect the worst. That’s what I found with most IVF consultants, they don’t want to get your hopes high. But still they made you stop the meds which is mental!

ASGIRC · 17/08/2026 17:34

@Poppy9991
My progression was:
9dpt - 97
11dpt - 135 (I was ready to throw in the towel then, doctor asked for a repeat)
13dpt - 227 (it seemed to pick up, so I was confused, this was when the doctor said it wasn't viable and to stop all meds. Ok!)
16dpt - 987 (doc still saying it was non viable, despite being weird, but we'd ruled out ectopic with a scan)
18dpt - 2751 (doc onty told me to repeat the scan, which I did, and it showed a 9mm sac - doc said to wait until I was back from holiday, if I didn't have pain, to deal with it. And that if I needed to empty the uterus - basically a D&C-, it couldn't be done af the clinic)
22dpt went back to the hospital to get another scan, saw a heartbeat and an embryo measuring 5+6 (which is 22 dpt).

And yeah, I get not wanting to get out hopes up... And the doctor has said she was trying to rule out an ectopic... Which is fine! But not to the detriment of everything else!

wishfulbean · 17/08/2026 19:47

@Poppy9991 thank you! I test tomorrow (and will finally look at alllll the tests I have done in the run up 😆 to hopefully see some progression). When is test day for you? Bloods or urine test?

@ASGIRC wow! That’s a crazy roller coaster you’ve been on so far! Congratulations on seeing a heart beat I’m hoping everything continues nicely while you wait for your next scan!

OMG - I’m sorry but this doctor should get their licence removed!!! I can’t believe that she mentioned D&C after seeing a sac… I think she completely lost the plot early on and was obsessed with it being an ectopic… It’s really unacceptable. I know you have other things to worry about right now but I would totally consider raising a formal complaint when things settle a bit. I am chocked!

In any case, I’m so glad it is picking up! it just shows how it is not always textbook scenarios.

Poppy9991 · 17/08/2026 21:54

@wishfulbean wow I wish I had your willpower. It would be absolutely impossible for me to test and just not look at the tests results. I think what you’re doing is more sensible though as you don’t get tortured 24/7 by comparing the lines. And as long as we don’t know, we are PUPO in a way, ignorance is bliss.

My clinic (Guy’s, London) doesn’t do blood tests.. they only give you cheap blue dye tests to do at 11 day post transfer. As usual I got a million other tests from different brands. Official test date is Sunday but I’ll test on Wednesday (day 7) and will track line progression from there. I wish I could do what you’re doing but it’s impossible for me ha!

Are you having blood tests?

ASGIRC · 17/08/2026 21:55

@Poppy9991 oh,don't you worry! I have 3 places in mind where I will be lodging a complain with. The clinic itself, the health regulator and the medical board.

When I texted her that she would no longer be my doctor, with a picture of the scan with embryo, I told her that, since her only worry was where I'd abort/miscarry, then our relationship was done, she had the NERVE to say she was only trying to make sure it wasn't an ectopic!!

I replied back saying "after it was confirmed it wasn't, your only concern was where I'd be able to get a D&C!"

I'm currently on holiday, but next week, when I'm back I will be getting on them!
As luck would have it, my next scan at the clinic is with the director herself, so I'm looking forward to telling her this story as well, and see how she reacts to it.

Poppy9991 · 17/08/2026 21:55

@wishfulbean will keep everything crossed for you tomorrow anyway!

@overwork good luck for the call tomorrow morning!!!

Appreciate your words of encouragement @Poppy9991. I'm 4dp5dt today and also resisting the urge to test. I'm trying to hold off until Friday.

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for your HPT yomorrow.🤞

overwork · 18/08/2026 09:16

Ah thanks @Poppy9991, my heart sank when I saw it was the clinic as they’d not said they’d update me, so I thought we were going to have no blasts again. But we have 1 and it’s going in shortly (just waiting for my bladder to top up). Will be thinking of you tomorrow

Poppy9991 · 18/08/2026 09:27

@overwork this is such great news!!! I’m really so happy for you! I hope the transfer goes well! And you take care of yourself during this dreaded 2WW. Let’s hope this one is a warrior and sticks! But it’s very encouraging that you got to blastocyst stage this time round!

Poppy9991 · 18/08/2026 09:32

@SunshineCorazon24 I’m just two days ahead of you then! Time seems to slow down or even stop during the 2WW doesn’t it?

I always say I’ll keep myself busy during this time but never manage to… and to make things worse I have issue with my bloody broadband provider who just cut my access for no reason whatsoever so I’m battling on that front to get it reinstated (apparently someone called and said they are moving in the property and that’s all they needed as proof to just cut my access… I’m fuming). And we are going to g through a rough patch with husband at the moment and haven’t spoken since Saturday evening. So without my netflix and basically having my husband acting like a stranger, it feels a bit lonely.

wishfulbean · 18/08/2026 09:50

I tested positive this morning ☺️. Looking back through my tests from earlier it looks like there is progression so far! Now on to the next two week wait while I wait for a scan to see if it sticking and in the right place! (No bloods tests done by clinic 😒)

@overworkcongratulations on getting a little blastocyst to transfer! It’s always so scary when they ring you especially out of the blue! I hope everything goes smoothly with the transfer.

@Poppy9991battling internet companies is no fun at the best of times, I hope it’s sorted soon and much needed Netflix is restored. I’m sorry to hear you are going through a rough patch with your husband. This time is so challenging and I hope you are able to resolve things soon.

Poppy9991 · 18/08/2026 10:42

@wishfulbean wooohooooo!!! So so glad for you! lots of good news today! Hope this continues. So now 2 weeks until your clinic scan? This will feel like eternity ha! Try to get yourself busy.

Are you fine just waiting it out (just asking given you’re a fellow compulsive tester too lol). I remember going all the way to buy home blood tests on the internet (the ones where you prick your finger ha!) just to wait until the clinic scan. But don’t recommend it cause it’s just added stress but I just hate surprises and I just was traumatised by going into my scan blindsided before after a positive home urine test just to be told “sorry! there’s nothing here! good luck next time”.
