@Banksl92 Sorry for bursting on your chat I was part of the ivf march 2023 group and after 5 failed IVFs I finally had my little twin miracles in October 2023 at 26w. I just wanted to say good luck and be positive. Also my group on here really helped me from the time of treatment and after and some of us still chat so this is an excellent way to get support. If you ever need anything please let me know feel i became an expert on some things! Xx

ZCarver · 10/02/2025 15:24

Heyyy I start march to! Well I have my down reg injection on 24th Feb then start stims in march. 2 years trying - secondary infertility after a natural pregnancy (was 2 years trying with my daughter to). We have unexplained infertility and both tests for me and my partner came back good. Here if anyone wants a chat going through same thing. :)

Twofromanotherkind · 11/02/2025 22:56

I'm starting IVF in march too probably end of will be my first cycle. Excited and nervous

Quaver9 · 12/02/2025 07:16

Hi, I’ve started my cycle this month but looking at a transfer later now as I think I’m heading for a freeze all collection x

Loz365 · 12/02/2025 10:57

Hi, I'm likely to be starting my first IVF cycle in March. We've got our treatment planning appointment next week and because of my AMH (I've got PCOS) we can only have freeze all cycles. TTC for over 4 years, 2 miscarriages with ovulation induction and now going privately for IVF.

Not sure if I'm allowed to post this (please delete if not) but as an outlet I've started writing blog posts about our journey so far, hoping it might help me and anyone that comes across it feel less alone; pcosinfertilityandme.wixsite.com/ivfblog

Hi! Jumping on here also 😁 I’m in the Feb thread but I’ll be doing most of my treatment in March so this may be a better fit for me to find others with similar timescales!

Background I guess:

Me F33. All results came back normal. AMH 18.5. Low vitamin D but other than that no issues 🤷🏼‍♀️ Did have a weird thing where I got diagnosed at 19 with pcos due to irregular periods and some cysts but then found out age 32 during investigation for this that was a misdiagnosis, I don’t have it at all! So that was really strange but obviously happy about that!

DH: 38. Semen analysis count was 13mil, she said that was okay but looking at others numbers seems low to me? Motility was good, but morphology 1% which is low. Although we have this slight MFI she said it was still possible to conceive naturally so official diagnosis, “unexplained infertility.”

Been ttc 9.5 years so a LONG time. Never had any pregnancies. DH had two with an ex both ended in MC this was around 20 years ago now though.

Been on high Vitamin D and folic acid. DH has been on Impryl and lower but still high Vitamin D. Clinic recommended IVF ICSI with Zymot as well to help choose the best sperm.

I start norethisterone tomorrow (eeee!) for 9 days, call them on the first day of my withdrawal bleed then start stims 28th Feb with possible EC on 12/3! I’m only having one monitoring scan on 10/3 but I’m on low doses of stims so I think that’s okay? I know others who’ve only had one too. Stims are Gonal F 150iu and then Ganirelix after day 5 to stop ovulation. Trigger is Zivafert 10,000. Had all my massive box of meds delivered Monday which was emotional!

Anyway glad to find others going through it at the same time! I’m on a WhatsApp group with others in my area/at my clinic but no one’s currently in treatment on that so it’s nice to have cycle buddies 😁

Whisper99 · 13/02/2025 22:07

Hi ladies

I will be cycling with you too. First time IVF - we are going abroad.

Expecting my period to start 2/03. My clinic starts injections on day 2-4 of the period (a bit late, isn't it?).

I'm 41, all tests appear normal, but I don't want to take chances and wait another year for pregnancy. We are planning to PGT-A the embryos we are hopefully going to get.

I've been reading the Feb group too, they are such a lovely bunch there.

captainsmal · 14/02/2025 08:06

@Whisper99 I think mine start on day 2 of the period so I think that’s normal? I finish the norethisterone 22nd, they expect me to get a period within 3-5 days then start injections 28th so depending when the period comes it’ll be either CD4 or CD2. Unless they change their minds! I have to message them on the first day of the period

Quaver9 · 14/02/2025 10:54

My injections started day 3 of my cycle, don’t worry that sounds about right @Whisper99

im just getting to the end of finishing mine now, feeling very full and tender now!

captainsmal · 14/02/2025 22:15

@Quaver9 well done nearing the end! Did you have any side effects other than the bloating feeling? Norethisterone has been kicking my ass but I heard stims are much better, mentally at least!

A few headaches and very low when I came off the Norethisterone. Mentally I think stims are ok but it’s still alot. I’ve been back and forth the hospital for follicle checks and nothing seems to be straight forward, I have a lot of follicles so heading for a freeze all cycle which I didn’t know this was a thing so that’s quite disappointing as I assumed we’d be doing transfer end of the week.

Also had a terrible time last night - was given an extra and final meriofert and the syringe broke and I lost all the liquid - I was in tears. Couldn’t get through to anyone with it being Saturday night and clinic closed until Monday. Every number I called was ‘closed’ over the weekend - even the emergency ones!
Attended the women’s hospital gyne a&e who could do nothing BUT they did manage to get hold of a nurse from clinic who got me sorted this morning. Now really worried the cluster we were trying to get up to size won’t be ready on Tuesday, but these things happen I suppose. Fingers crossed we get a decent amount.

captainsmal · 16/02/2025 18:50

@Quaver9 omg that sounds so stressful for you!! Hopefully they will still have caught up by Tuesday 🤞🏻🤞🏻 it’s never simple is it 🤦🏼‍♀️ as if ivf isn’t stressful enough without something like that happening and typical it was on a weekend 🙄 sorry about the freeze all too, I know people who that’s happened to and they said it’s so disappointing waiting even longer, but I suppose in hindsight in years from now if it works waiting the extra couple of months for a FET will feel worth it 🤞🏻 hopefully you’ll get a good amount anyway. I have 6 days left of norethisterone and I so can’t wait to be done with it lol

Quaver9 · 16/02/2025 18:54

@captainsmal Hope the next 6 days passes quick for you and the break isn’t too rough before starting stims. Yeah we’ve waited years, another month isn’t going to change much - let you all know how I do for eggs on Tuesday 🫣

captainsmal · 16/02/2025 19:00

@Quaver9 honestly I hope the break isn’t bad because I’ve been an emotional wreck on these lol, I did hear the period will be very heavy afterwards though. But I’m just excited to start stims soon and hopefully it all goes quickly! 🤞🏻
that’s what I have to keep telling myself that we’ve waited years (basically a decade now lol) so a little bit longer is nothing but it’s definitely frustrating and hard when you’re in the middle of it isn’t it! 😬
yeah definitely let us know how you get on Tuesday! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you!

TheCandidPug · 16/02/2025 21:41

Hey everyone! I’ve been through a ER this month.. we collected 18 eggs, 14 mature and 10 fertilised. On day 3, 10 we’re still going… tomorrow is day 5 and we will expect a call in the morning! It’s super stressful, but my husband is so chill. What will be will be he says, gosh I wish I had his poise.

If everything goes well tomorrow, then we will have a frozen transfer next month. I did mild IVF and was on a low dose of Gonal F. The Drs said my E2 was super high and ovaries quite full so that’s why we arnt doing a fresh transfer. Good luck everyone.. 😍

captainsmal · 17/02/2025 10:56

@TheCandidPug wow great numbers! Have you had your call yet this morning? What dose of Gonal F were you on? I’m going to be on 150iu when I start mine next week 😬 I’m also worried about having to switch to freeze all but I don’t think my amh is too high for my age so hopefully I won’t 🤞🏻 they will do the progesterone test on the morning of EC and decide then

TheCandidPug · 17/02/2025 12:49

@captainsmal my AMH was also high for my age, I am 37 with a AMH of 27. Me and my husband have male infertility issues.

We are with Create who suggested that I was polycystic and they prescribed 150u of gonal f, with no change thought out. I triggered a day later than anticipated. My E2 was like 4500 on day 7 so my fertility midwife didn’t do my bloods on the last day, to give me the chance of a fresh transfer.

the consultant on the day didn’t go for it and encouraged a frozen transfer. At Create my experience has been that they concentrate on quality and really care about you as an individual.

we got the call today about 12, reporting 8 great quality blasts in the freezer and another 2 which they will give an extra day. They are going to send me the protocol for the FET tomorrow. They didn’t even check my bloods, but my abdomen is still not 100% so actually thankful that I get a break! It’s a lot to put yourself through emotionally and physically.

good luck to you! Any questions please feel free to reach out!

captainsmal · 17/02/2025 13:39

@TheCandidPug those are really great numbers! Congrats! At least now you get a little break for your body and get yourself as recovered as possible for the FET 😁 I heard that electrolyte drinks and peppermint tea is really helpful for the bloating and abdominal pains after EC.

My AMH is only 18.5 and I’m 33 so I don’t think my clinic is too worried about ohss but of course anything can happen and I won’t find out until I start stims 🤞🏻 we are also dealing with slight male factor too but officially it’s “unexplained.” His problem is with morphology which is apparently the “best” kind to fix as we’re doing icsi and zymot so it’ll bypass all the odd shaped ones lol

TheCandidPug · 17/02/2025 13:52

@captainsmal we had the same problem with my Husband. It’s a good job they can by pass that issue!! Good luck with your stims! I hope to get a fresh transfer. 🤞🏻🍀

captainsmal · 17/02/2025 14:36

@TheCandidPug thank you! Good luck with your FET next month too! Maybe we’ll be doing them at the same sort of time 😁

Quaver9 · 18/02/2025 15:35

Egg collection went well today. Clinic were great, in at 8, ready for collection at 9 and out by 11.
sedation was great, don’t remember a thing and felt fine when I came around, just sleepy!
I will say my abdomen is very tender and lower back still sore but it has been all weekend even before collection.
19 collected, rest were too small. Will see how many fertilise tomorrow and make it to day 5. They haven’t ruled out a fresh transfer on Sunday as I was just below the 20 threshold for a freeze all. I can’t see me being up to it however though if I stay feeling so tender. X

captainsmal · 18/02/2025 16:30

@Quaver9 well done on making it through, that’s great numbers! Try and get some rest the next few days, maybe you’ll feel okay by Sunday but if not at least you can take some time to recover and then do a fet 🙏🏻

ivfjourneyandme · 18/02/2025 20:50

Hey all 👋

I’m on the Feb thread with @captainsmal but thought I’d pop over here too. There’s another March thread going on as well, not sure how to combine?

Currently on day 5 of down regulation. Scan
26th Feb to see if ovaries are quiet, then start stims

This will be by second cycle. Severely low AMH and MFI. We managed 4 eggs, all mature but total failed fertilisation last round which I was not prepared for as only happens in about 1-3% cases of IVF with ICSI

Have everything crossed but deep down, not
hopeful.

Best of luck ladies

captainsmal · 18/02/2025 21:01

@ivfjourneyandme hi again! Day 6 out of 10 for me now 😮‍💨 got everything crossed for you with this round 🤞🏻🤞🏻

ivfjourneyandme · 18/02/2025 21:47
