Hiya. I’m due to start IVF in March and just wanted to find some people who were going through the same so we can support/ advise eachother! I’m 32 and have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and just wanted to meet some people in the same boat!

@Miraclemuma03 I think I'll be fine actually it's only 5 days ish for early tests right? But ttc naturally it's 10 days 🫠 so I think it will fly by 🤞 tbh since my miscarriage I'm under no illusions that a positive pregnancy test means a baby so honestly it will be quite late in pregnancy until I feel happy I think 😕 so a positive test would be a great first step but I don't think I'll be jumping for joy. My first pregnancy which was naturally conceived and super smooth I was so naive looking back 😆 blissfully ignorant - it was great. Luckily it did go well but I think this time I'll feel quite differently as I know it can all end in a minute

@spttc yeah 5 to 7 days and something should show up I'm sure.

I completely get it. Just get through one step at a time even if it's just making it through the day.

@Timetotryagain we decided on me carrying because I have better maternity pay and I feel more strongly about carrying than my wife, it just so turned out I have a very low AMH for my age, 3.1 when last tested (I’m only 34) , so worked out well using her eggs and me carrying, as we will both have a biological link to our child.

Morning :) just had a call that 6 of our 7 embryos made it to blast and i am so pleased!!!! We have had miscarriages due to genetic issues in the past though so they will be sent for pgt testing in the hope that some (or all!) are euploid 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 we get the results back in 2 - 4 weeks. She also said theres a chance we may get a day 6 tomorrow but the chances are low but they will keep them cultured and let us know

@OneQuirkyPanda thats really handy that one of you had more of an inclination to carry :D my friends sister and her partner did it and she had absolutely zero desire to carry a pregnancy so it worked out perfectly that her partner really wanted to!

@Miraclemuma03 have you just started the antagonist (the one that stops ovulation?) Because i was reading and that can cause spotting apparently

@spttc 4 more days to wait before tou can test then!

And to those who are having their first follicle scan and dissapointed with rhe growth, my second scan showed 10 more follicles had grown so there is hope!

Do you mind me asking what clinic you went with? Just thinking that we are likely to need another round and not really happy with the mild protocol at ABC/Create.

@OneQuirkyPanda We are with tfp (theres loads in the UK i think) and i have been really impressed with their communication/staff etc

I’ve had my transfer. All went okay. They transferred one (which they said was beautiful - I think they say that to all the embryos!). I have 3 that will definitely be frozen, 1 that they will check on later today to see if it catches up and the others they will make a call tomorrow. 🤞🏻

So glad your transfer went okay! @Charmofgoldfinch and pleased that you get some frozen embabies too 🥰🥰🥰 how are you feeling?

@Timetotryagain - I’m getting better thank you - Still very swollen but it’s going down. I’m nauseous on a morning but that might be the progesterone as I do the pessaries at night? I’m glad I went ahead with transfer today - if not I think I would have been wondering ‘what if’.
it was nice at the clinic this morning - there was a nice atmosphere in the bays whilst everyone was waiting for their transfers - all the staff and everyone we have met there has been really lovely - and they have very nice hot chocolate.
I’ve decided not to test early. When I was TTC naturally the up and down rollercoaster of testing whenever I thought I had a symptom was just too much - although I have a lot of east at home cheapies left over from the ovulation strips so let’s see how that goes 🙈

@Charmofgoldfinch glad you are feeling better! I my natural pregnancy i only started taking progesterone from 6 weeks after a small scare so i cant say if they made me feel nausseous of whether just genersl pregnancy made me feel nauseous haha!

Fingers crossed you can keep yourself busy and distract yourself from any temptations to test! I dont know if i will be that strong i think i will be peeing on every stick from 3dpt haha. Last night i had a dream i was in the USA buying a load of first response tests. Thats a very sad dream haha

@Timetotryagain - that is a very specific dream! Hopefully it won’t come to going to the US to buy them!
my husband last night had 3 different anxiety dreams - the lamest being that he was getting me a hot chocolate after the procedure and the cup was overflowing and it wouldn’t switch off so the reception was flooded in hot chocolate 🙈 he’s going to have his first beer in months tonight as we have a few frozen embryos so hopefully he will be calmer tonight!

@Timetotryagain thanks for the reply . No iv been on the antagonist for a little bit now and have never spotted on it before but thats not to say its not from the stims., I'm on day 12 of stims. But the spotting seems to have stopped and it was just a once off so hopefully it is just from the meds and not from anything else in particular.

That's great news about your embryos, hopefully that means you get a few back from testing that will be good to transfer and put on ice for future use. Fingers are xd the results come back sooner for you rather then later.

So I did my trigger last night ready to go for tomorrow morning.
my question is have any of you have conscious sedation for egg collection? I’ve always been asleep for the other 3 that I had so now I’m worrying about how it’s going to go. Just looking to see if anyone has had any experience with this?

Morning, clinic called and said the extra low quality embryos they were watching to see if they get to blast on day 6 didnt manage it but thats fine because they froze the 6 embryos on day 5 yesterday :)

@Alexm06 well done on reaching trigger 🙌🏻 i had deep sedation for my ER so i cant remember anything about it. My friend had conscious sedation though and she remembers them passing the test tubes of fluid (eggs) theough to the embryologist but she doesnt remmeber any pain so hopefully same for you

Had anyone had any side effects from Estradiol? I’ve been on it for 5 days now and I feel awful, very nauseous, headache, fatigued, cold, upset stomach. The last time I took it I remember feeling nauseous and having a headache, but it seems much worse this time.

@Timetotryagain hopefully on Wednesday if all goes to plan this morning.

@OneQuirkyPanda i have never taken that medication but that sucks all the side effects 😭 have they done any scans on you yet to check your lining?

What a roller-coaster today has been.

Had a scan this morning, the doctor we saw said I may have to switch to patches if the stomach issues continue. She said my lining is beautiful, 8.4mm, triple layer with grade 3 blood flow. I have a cyst on my right ovary, so they have done some bloods to see if it’s producing hormones, she thinks as my lining is so good then it’s probably not, but they just want to double check.

If everything is fine then I start the progesterone Wednesday 🤞🏻for the FET next week.

So back from EC and actually got 4 follicles rather than 3 so I guess that’s a positive. The concussion sedation wasn’t actually that bad. Felt a bit sick on the way home now. Now it’s bed rest for me haha

@Alexm06 - hope all went well today. I don’t remember my EC at all - I have a brief memory of looking at a screen and asking if it was an egg but it might have also been a dream! The last thing I properly remember is them putting the oxygen clip in. Hope your recovery has gone okay and you’re on the way home now 🤞🏻

@Charmofgoldfinch thank you yeah I moved a few times as I got a bit of pain but other then that I kind of remember parts but not others. He did seem positive about getting 4 but also seemed positive at the beginning saying there was looking like 3. Maybe was trying to make me feel better haha. Back home now and in bed. Don’t plan on moving now haha

I took 5000 gonsai trigger on Friday 28th March. So this is the 10th day since. Would it be gone?

It might be out of your system now, some people get their betas done on day 10. When is actual test day? You could always test and then retest again to see if it progresses. Good luck. How are you feeling. ?
