February/March FET

Hi all, looking to start a chat with anyone transferring February or March time. I have my baseline scan booked in next week and if all goes to plan then I'll start treatment & have my second frozen transfer on 4th March. My first FET in September 2024 sadly failed 😞
Any transfer buddies?

Hey @Willard89 I'm preparing for a FET now as well, had my baseline scan last Friday. I'm doing a natural modified cycle after am attempt at a natural cycle earlier this month got cancelled as my lining didn't get to the right level in time. I'm back to the clinic on Friday to see how it's progressing, quite nervous! I'm on a lot more meds this time so I hope they are going the trick. I guess if it goes to plan I'd be looking to transfer in early-ish February but all a bit up in the air currently. Are you doing a medicated cycle?

jenk91 · 29/01/2025 21:15

Hey both, hoping I can join, although not quite sure where I stand currently! Recently did my first round of IVF and my fresh transfer failed. We have 3 embryos in the freezer so hoping to go again ASAP to transfer one of those, but currently waiting for the clinic to give me some news. I only just started my bleed after the failed transfer so I’m guessing it would be a March transfer, although I don’t really know how it works 😬😬

Orangewillow · 30/01/2025 09:43

@jenk91 sorry your fresh transfer didn't work, its so hard! But hopefully you can go again quite soon, I guess clinics vary but I think mine is pretty happy to just get on with it (I've not tried a transfer yet though). Hopefully they'll let you know soon, the waiting to find out whats going on ia so painful

paintfairy · 30/01/2025 15:00

I'm doing a natural cycle. Not really sure how it's going to go as it was meant to happen last month and it didn't go to plan. I have my first scan next Monday and transfer would be some point the following week, if it goes correctly this time.......

Orangewillow · 30/01/2025 15:41

@paintfairy are you on any meds at all or totally natural? I also had a go last month and lining didn't get there so am modified natural with a lot more oestrogen now

paintfairy · 30/01/2025 15:43

@Orangewillow the plan was just for trigger and progesterone last month. But I ovulated too early.
Same this month but they don't appear to even check lining or anything so it's all a concern to be honest!

Orangewillow · 30/01/2025 15:54

@paintfairy hopefully they'll check lining at your scan on Monday and you ovulate at the right time this month! They weren't sure if I had ovulated already in my last cycle so that and the thin lining meant ot got cancelled. I've had scarring (treated) and thin lining a lot so I'm really hoping it works this time!

paintfairy · 30/01/2025 16:02

@Orangewillow that did check it at the first scan last time. But they don't check it after. I'm hoping though it'll go a bit better this time and be more organised though. 🤞 I don't want to have to have a 3rd go.

Hopefully the medication will work for you this cycle. And we'll both be lucky. 🤣

uhhuhyeahok · 30/01/2025 16:15

Cheering everyone on! I'll join you although I won't be starting until the end of Feb probably. I've just come off a freeze all cycle after developing OHSS but have a consultant review next week so hopefully will know if we can proceed on my next cycle.

paintfairy · 11/02/2025 10:39

How's everyone doing? My transfer will be next Monday. Fingers crossed. 🤞 Hasn't been the smoothest ride mind and i feel exhausted by it already.

Orangewillow · 11/02/2025 13:51

@paintfairy great you have a date! I'm back for another lining check scan today, it's been a bumpy ride so far on this attempt, things were looking more promising last Friday but who knows. Quite nervous I'm heading for another cancelled cycle to be honest!

Orangewillow · 11/02/2025 17:42

Scan was OK, lining growing, but verrrrry slowly. Inching towards 7, currently 6.4! Feels really torturous. I've been quite sick the last few days, as has my husband, and we are being really ratty with each other.

All I've done since the start of January is take hormones and go for scans and do every other bloody thing I think might help and still not there yet. So over it all, but once again have to pick myself up and carry on. Arghh!

paintfairy · 11/02/2025 18:35

@Orangewillow I'm glad it was ok. Even though it's not what you hoped for. How much longer do they give it? I wasn't sure how far through you were or how long they try for.
I just feel mentally drained. The clinic have been useless and that's added to the stress. And things are actually going right with me physically this time, so it's not even that. So i can only imagine how you feel, it does take its toll.
Sorry you are sick too! That can't help.

Orangewillow · 11/02/2025 18:47

@paintfairy no time limit currently, I've only got quite a small dominant follicle so there's still time to get my lining up (on 6.4 currently!) before I ovulate or trigger (i'm on day 19 currently, usually ovulate around day 15)

Well I really really hope that's the way it goes. Otherwise its another major disappointment accompanied by a fat bill and then a potential hysteroscopy and recovery on the other side. FML quite frankly. My clinic have been really good, it just seems luck isn't on my side, again.

Mentally draining is the word for it! Sounds like your clinic have been a right pain but you're getting there with the transfer date booked in - hope you're feeling OK about that, im sure you're relieved to be getting closer to through this stage!

paintfairy · 11/02/2025 19:44

@Orangewillow fingers crossed for you! Mine was about 6.4 last Monday, i think it was? 🤔 One thing i have been doing- i go for acupuncture. Might be worth a go next time? I did it last time and so I don't dare not this time. The lady specialises in fertility.
It does feel like it drags, even when it really doesn't. With 1000 trips to the clinic etc. So yes I'll definitely be glad when next week is over and I don't have to go again!

BellaRosex · 12/02/2025 09:01

Hi all,

I had my FET yesterday following a chemical pregnancy during my first FET last year. Embryos aren't tested. Iknow it's so early but i am already comparing symptoms against last time. Last time I felt twinges from the day of transfer. This time I feel completely normal as if I haven't even had a transfer. I know I need to try and stay positive but this whole process turns me into an obsessive overthinking mess lol.

paintfairy · 12/02/2025 10:02

@BellaRosex good luck! 🤞 I find I'm better switching off to it. To the point i don't want to even test as I'd rather not know! But I find that easier than trying to analyse everything. Progesterone has a lot to answer for and I had no signs really when mine did work! Nothing.
I've started my Progesterone today and I really dislike it.

KenIsAnAccessory · 12/02/2025 21:26

I had a FET yesterday too @BellaRosex . Also analysing every symptom and want to know the outcome already!

I wish I could be like that 😔. What stage are you at in your process? Xx

Oh a transfer twin! So good to not feel alone. I feel like my anxiety is through the roof. I haven't felt a single twinge/ cramp. Any symptoms on your side? X

KenIsAnAccessory · 12/02/2025 21:39

@BellaRosex probably nothing that couldn't be a side effect of the massive amounts of progesterone in on!

Feliciacat · 12/02/2025 21:45

Oh! Maybe I can (kind of) be a transfer triplet since I had my FET today. I’m very tired from the progesterone so it will be hard to know what’s pregnancy symptoms.

I had IVF in Oct 2024 and got three embryos. I had a fresh transfer but sadly it ended in miscarriage at 6 weeks. So I’ve had my second embryo put in today. It was hatching which is hopefully a good sign!

paintfairy · 13/02/2025 09:24

@BellaRosex transfer next Monday.
@KenIsAnAccessory @Feliciacat good luck with yours!

I've had a migraine since last night. I ended up going to bed at 6.30pm. I can feel it's still lingering in the background and I'm sure the progesterone isn't helping.

KenIsAnAccessory · 13/02/2025 09:29

Ooh, good luck @paintfairy, wish I could ignore things...massive over analyser here! I've had many transfers though and many chemicals so can't help it 🙈

How are you feeling @Feliciacat, have you been around a while? I feel like we've messaged before but perhaps under a different username for me.

Hope all is ok @BellaRosex 🤞🤞🤞

Willard89 · 13/02/2025 09:43

Hi everyone, I popped off for a while as my transfer was quite a bit away. I'm starting Progynova on Friday and have my first lining scan on 25th. So nervous as this is my second time round after a failed FET last Sept.
I basically spotted my entire TWW so I know I'll be in turmoil if that starts again. At least if I wasn't spotting I could try and ignore the process Confused
