February/March FET

Hi all, looking to start a chat with anyone transferring February or March time. I have my baseline scan booked in next week and if all goes to plan then I'll start treatment & have my second frozen transfer on 4th March. My first FET in September 2024 sadly failed 😞
Any transfer buddies?

On the mental side of it- I think that's the hard part of IVF. Because last time I kept thinking I'll feel ok about it when I get to xxx stage. And I just never did and kept expecting it to go wrong. I didn't even tell many people until I was almost 20 weeks.

@paintfairy apparently the molecular structure of HCG resembles LH hence why it can be picked up in LH tests 🤷‍♀️. My Easy @ Home is slowly picking up but much slower progress than FRER as to be expected!

I have no frer left, only wondfo and one-step which look a smidge darker but really pathetic tbh. Quite concerned that this will be a chemical for me, but it could just be HCG isn't strong enough to get really good lines yet on cheap strips. Very hard to be positive after 6 losses. I know it can work, obviously...it just doesn't feel very likely and I really need the comfort of some super strong lines to feel any kind of confidence.

I've ordered FRER to arrive tomorrow but I know I really need to wait a few days and then things should be slightly more conclusive.

@KenIsAnAccessory it also depends what sensitivity the cheap strips are? But yeah i wouldn't compare like for like if different brands. It's still also early days for you yet. By the time you do the next frer hopefully it'll be more definitive.

@KenIsAnAccessory my Easy @ Home is still quite faint even with quite a strong FRER so hold in there! It's still very early! X

So woke up this morning and there's no change on my FRER and my Easy @ Home hasnt gotten any darker (I actually think it's lighter). I had some stabbing lower back yesterday for about 10 minutes so in my mind, it doesn't bode well. OTD on Monday.

Any updates from anyone else?

I’ve just found this forum so apologies for the lateness! I had my very first transfer on Saturday, OTD is 26th Feb but like a lot of people I’ve been testing (even though people say it’s too early) BFN so far but hoping for a miracle!

@BellaRosex sorry you're feeling worried. It's awful isn't it.

I am also worrying. I think my wondfo is a little darker but still not happy with how dark the line is. To be honest after so many losses I'm not sure if I will ever feel confident. I'm sure even after darker tests/scans I'll only be reassured for a short while then probably spiral again. I need to figure out some better coping strategies. Going to try some mindful activities I think the next few days- crafting perhaps- I have some painting I want to do and some embroidery, maybe that will help to focus on something else.

@KenIsAnAccessory do you have any symptoms? I'm still on off period cramping but after those sharp back pains yesterday and no line progression today, I feel in my gut this isn't going to end well.

Sorry to hear that you’re feeling worried @BellaRosex and @KenIsAnAccessory. IVF is so stressful. Hoping for miracles for you both but I do appreciate the precariousness of the two week wait. I suppose it could go either way. Distractions sound good. Have you ever always wanted to do something? I took up adult cheerleading to get me through ivf!

Welcome to @Rebeccaemily93 (lovely name by the way). Yeah, it’s highly unusual to get a positive before about 7dp5dt. Even then, you won’t get a really strong one until 12dp5dt.

I feel really unwell today. It could mean anything! I’ll test again on Saturday and then again on my OTD of Monday. Anything could happen between now and then which is what makes ivf so awful.

It's funny really as feeling nothing- we are like oh nothing is happening. But feeling something we worry something bad is happening. 🤣 And I'm not actually sure what is good or bad or if anything goes?! 🙈
I feel like the days are going very slow. Over thinking every twinge. Wondering if it even is one. 🤣 And I'm way off being able to test. I've told myself I'm not even doing it until a week tomorrow and that just seems like forever away right now. So I'll continue with the will it/won't it battles in my head.
@Rebeccaemily93 Yeah i think it's too early yet! So don't worry yet.

Anyone have any thoughts on these easy at home tests? There is zero progress in 3 days, yet my FRER on the other hand look pretty good.... (although I do think my FRER yesterday looked a smidge darker). I don't like where this is going..... 😩

I think they look ok @BellaRosex, cheapy strips do take a while to darken up, and your FRER progression from 7 to 9 looks greats. I'm a total hypocrite as my cheapies look similar to yours and I'm worried as well, but it's easier to be objective about someone else's tests 🤣

Here are my crappy wondfos if it makes you feel any better 🙈 They're so faint. Got FRERs arriving later so will probably try one tomorrow (not done one since 6dpt will be 10dpt then) and really hoping I see great progression but I'm not feeling super confident yet 🤞

@KenIsAnAccessory I'm the exact same as you!! I can be totally objective and rational when it comes to other people's tests but spiralling at my own. This process isn't for the faint hearted 🤣

I've never tried wondfo but your latest test does look the darkest out of them all.

Hopefully you get something a bit more reassuring on the FRER 🙏🏻🤞🏻

Agree the frer are probably the safest bet. I hope it looks better tomorrow @BellaRosex

I tested this morning (9dp5dt) and the line got slightly darker. It’s a different test (on purpose) as it only detects 10hCG whereas the FRER detect 6hCG. My remaining three tests are all 25hCG so I’ll use my one from the clinic on Monday 24th (OTD), test on Saturday after that (1st March) and then use Clearblue digital a week after that (8th March) to hopefully get a 3+ result.

I hope everyone else who is testing gets the result they want. It’s a really tough time when you’re waiting and hoping.

Strangely overnight I've seen huge progress on my Easy @ homes (picture attached). My FRER is also still looking good .

I know it's kind of irrelevant but my LH test line is now darker than the control which doesn't even happen for me at peak ovulation so something is definitely happening. Praying this is a sticky lucky thread for us all! 🙏🏻

I feel relieved to see the progress particularly on E@H but I'm still very cautious and not allowing myself to get ahead of myself. I've been here before twice and it's never ended well. Every day with a strong test is a small victory. They've booked me in for my blood test on Monday morning. I'm 10DP5T today.

This is my FRER at 10dp5dt. Much more reassuring than the rubbish cheapies.

The test line isn't as dark as the control line yet but looking back at my previous successful pregnancies I didn't hit that point in 13dpt.

It's also not as dark as other people's lines, but I think I am super hydrated as have an awful taste in my mouth so I'm drinking constantly to try to get rid of it, and the longest I hold for is approx 6 hours as wake up every night at 4am and have to pee!

That sounds a lot like I'm trying to convince myself it's all fine...🤣. Going to try to wait a few days and test again next week and hopefully see reassuring progression 🤞

I think that line looks promising. When was your OTD? Will they do a blood test or a urine test? Mine is just a urine stick at home on Monday.
