Hi all, looking to start a chat with anyone transferring February or March time. I have my baseline scan booked in next week and if all goes to plan then I'll start treatment & have my second frozen transfer on 4th March. My first FET in September 2024 sadly failed 😞
Any transfer buddies?

Yaaaay @paintfairy well done! Now just the dreaded waiting game! How good was that first wee afterwards? 🤣

My clinic doesn't even give me a pregnancy test! They specifically say don't test until OTD. Do you plan on testing early?

By the way, one thing I read which I think is worth sharing post transfer - there's a 2023 study which shows that drinking beetroot, watermelon and ginger increased implantation rates as against the control group that didn't take it. I know there are a million recommendations but I only paid attention to this one because it actually has scientific backing. Just in case it's of interest!

Hoping for sticky vibes! X

paintfairy · 17/02/2025 12:03

They definitely gave me a test last time, looked like a covid test. 🤣 The info sheet reads like i should have one but who knows.
@BellaRosex the beetroot concoction sounds interesting. I'm not sure i would manage to drink that. 🤣
@Feliciacat do you have a link? The only ones I have are Frer? I've got 2 of those. So no real plans on testing too early.

Feliciacat · 17/02/2025 12:16

MOMMED Pregnancy Test, 5 X... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CQMV69N?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

These ones detect 25mIU/mg of hCG which is the amount you really need on OTD to be sure about it. Other tests like FRER only test for 6mIU/mg of hCG. So I use FRER for the moment as I’m only 5dp5dt but I’d want to use these less sensitive tests by OTD if that makes sense.

@paintfairy I don't blame you! I absolutely despise beetroot but the juice is not actually too bad! I take the article with a pinch of salt as everyone's reasons for infertility are different. The experiment was specifically tested with women going through IVF as it is meant to help blood flow to the uterus. At this stage I'm willing to try anything! 😆

@KenIsAnAccessory how are you getting on today? Any other symptoms?

BellaRosex · 18/02/2025 11:35

How are you feeling this morning @paintfairy ? Hopefully no pain or discomfort following transfer x

paintfairy · 18/02/2025 11:42

@BellaRosex I feel ok today thanks. I felt a bit crampy yesterday afterwards, but it's settled down.

Good good, got everything crossed for you 🤞🏻 x

Oh yes @paintfairy we all are wishing and hoping for you xxx

KenIsAnAccessory · 18/02/2025 14:51

Well, I'm spiralling slightly here. I hate the waiting and hoping for the line to get darker 🙈

I tested again this morning (and yesterday!) and the lines are there, not as dark as I'd want but they're there, and slightly darker than before. We can only wait and hope I guess!

Hope everyone is doing ok.

My lines yesterday and today look almost the same so I also had a mini-panic this morning! But it's still very early and it takes HCG 48 hours to double so I know i need to be patient and that the most accurate results will be by tracking progress every two days x

Orangewillow · 18/02/2025 16:16

Hi everyone, I'm unexpectedly back in the FET game! After my lining had dropped last Friday I was expecting today's scan to be a formality before they cancelled the cycle but they said my not great lining is ok to go ahead.

I'm shocked and pleased, already fretting that my less than stellar lining will make it not work, but have to work with what I've got really, and we have pgta tested So im reallllly hoping its sticky and robust enough!

Transfer is booked for next Tuesday. Sh*ting my pants really, we've been TTC for 18 months after a TFMR at 13 weeks, and it's just been so hideous. I'm not sure I'm going to feel very confident about it working but it's a big step forwards at any rate.

paintfairy · 18/02/2025 16:19

@BellaRosex @KenIsAnAccessory it's still early days for you both and I'm sure your lines are fine. 🤞🤞
@Orangewillow ah that's excellent news! I'm really pleased for you.

Aww great news!!! I'm sure your clinic wouldn't transfer if they didn't think it was optimal. Would something like acupuncture give you peace of mind? It is meant to help with the bloodflow to the uterus and might help de-stress too although appreciate it's not everyone's cup of tea. The fact that you have a PGT-A tested embryo means you've everything going for you! 🙏🏻

Orangewillow · 18/02/2025 19:46

@BellaRosex trying to remind myself that they wouldn't say go ahead if it was a lost cause/very low chances! Just would love to be in a better place lining wise but already had a FET cancelled and have been on oestrogen for 3 weeks so this might be the best I can do, have had scarring.

Yes have been doing acupuncture for a while and have got that booked in the day before and day of next week... otherwise going to do lots of walking, yoga, beetroot juice (yuk) and of course the post transfer fries. Every little helps!

paintfairy · 18/02/2025 20:37

@Orangewillow i also have acupuncture and i got the fries! I also got a burger (why not) but then had terrible indigestion later. 🤦‍♀️🤣
I agree that wouldn't do it if they didn't think it was right. Do they check lining again before Tuesday?

Orangewillow · 18/02/2025 20:51

@paintfairy I don't think there's another lining check, I'm staying on all the oestrogen and starting progesterone on Thursday then in for a blood test on Monday to check the progesterone levels. Kind of don't want to know what the lining is doing more hahah

BellaRosex · 18/02/2025 21:10

@Orangewillow I also did acupuncture before and after and am drinking beetroot (🤢) and pomegranate juice. I'll try just about anything! X

paintfairy · 18/02/2025 21:32

I've got acupuncture tomorrow actually!
I've got some light period type pains right now. Can't decide if this is good or bad. 🤔🤣
@Orangewillow i suppose it should only get better? I'm sure they checked mine on transfer? They didn't say but i saw they measured something.

BellaRosex · 19/02/2025 05:53

@paintfairy I also had light period type cramps on and off since about 3 days post transfer (and still have them as i type) so hoping they are a good sign for you 🙏🏻 x

Feliciacat · 19/02/2025 07:24

I had light cramps for a few days after transfer and felt incredibly tired two days later (this has not improved!). I then got a faint positive on 5dp5dt and I have a stronger positive on 7dp5dt today. So your signs are hopeful.

I am letting myself get hopeful! My previous (and only pregnancy) I was only getting a line like on my 5dp5dt test (17/2) at 10dp5dt. This time around I’m much stronger much earlier. OTD on Monday. How is everyone else getting on?

paintfairy · 19/02/2025 08:09

I went to bed with a headache and I've still got it. 😫
@Feliciacat I think that line on the 5dpt is pretty good for then! I'm sure most aren't that strong at that point. But you wouldn't expect that at 10, no. I didn't test until 13 last time but it was really strong and not far off the control line.

Feliciacat · 19/02/2025 08:31

Mine never got anything like the control line right up until six weeks. I hadn’t realised how poor it was as it was my first pregnancy.

I hope your headache gets better but it’s definitely a good sign at least.

paintfairy · 19/02/2025 09:03

Probably just the progesterone. I hate the hormonal drugs. 😩
I think it's hard as everyone is different and it also depends on time of day and hold etc. But by OTD you'd expect a strong line. Plenty of people worry about lines mind, and it's fine. 🤷‍♀️

BellaRosex · 19/02/2025 09:10

@Feliciacat that's exactly the type of progression you want to see! Well done!

@paintfairy these all sound like good signs 🤞🏻🙏🏻

My FRER line today is very strong. It's tracking the same strength as my first pregnancy that ended at 10 weeks. My last one that ended at 6 weeks had verrrrryy slow progression- like the line looked the same for 3 days until it got a tiny smidge stronger and then another 3 days etc. So while this is looking more optimistic than the last one, I still can't let myself go there mentally.... ☹️

I also have been tracking LH for shits and gigs, and it's showing dark as heck for today.

paintfairy · 19/02/2025 09:14

@BellaRosex yes that's a good line! Fingers crossed. 🤞 I never thought to use the LH ones. I've ordered some normal type tests though now for OTD and I've got some frers for before.
