Hi all, looking to start a chat with anyone transferring February or March time. I have my baseline scan booked in next week and if all goes to plan then I'll start treatment & have my second frozen transfer on 4th March. My first FET in September 2024 sadly failed 😞
Any transfer buddies?

Sorry to hear of the migraine @paintfairy! That’s definitely been a hormone related symptom for me. I hope you feel better soon.

@KenIsAnAccessory I’ve been ttc for close to three years so you probably have come across me before! I’ve never been pregnant in my life apart from the one time from ivf. I’m gold star infertile haha! I hope your transfer takes this time! I’m guessing your OTD is the 23rd? Mine’s the 24th.

@Willard89 spotting sucks. I’ve heard someone calling the anxiety around that ‘knicker watch’. You’re right that it makes it so hard to not think about the transfer. I hope your lining scan goes ok.

KenIsAnAccessory · 13/02/2025 13:20

They suggested OTD is 16 days past transfer....I won't be waiting that long!

MitchyTitchy · 13/02/2025 14:20

Hi everyone, can I join please :)

I had a successful egg retrieval last week, but due to the risk of OHSS the clinic decided to freeze all. I've nearly finished the withdrawal bleed and should be able to start a FET protocol for my next cycle (which hopefully will be March!) We're meeting the consultant soon to discuss plans, but looking forward to getting ready for a transfer!

KenIsAnAccessory · 13/02/2025 16:47

Hey @MitchyTitchy what did you manage to freeze?

That does seem a bit excessive! I'm sure my clinic is one that goes with a long time too, from memory.

Feliciacat · 13/02/2025 17:57

My OTD is only 12 days from my transfer. This could be because I am having a natural cycle so nothing added except the progesterone support just before transfer and continued until 12 weeks (if I get that far). For some people, the OTD needs to be far away in case there are still hormones that could give a false positive in people’s system. But 16 does seem a bit excessive even so!

paintfairy · 13/02/2025 18:57

I've just checked and last time mine was 13 days after 5 day transfer (but I checked at 12). That was a fresh one though.

KenIsAnAccessory · 13/02/2025 16:47

Hey @MitchyTitchy what did you manage to freeze?

@KenIsAnAccessory We had four blasts on day 5, with one decent grade one and 3 lower grades. They were keeping an eye on 8 embryos for day 6 and unbelievably managed to freeze all 8, so we have 12 in total and still can’t believe it.

KenIsAnAccessory · 13/02/2025 23:15

@Feliciacat mines a FET with no HCG as well- no way to get a false positive so definitely not for that reason!

Wow, amazing numbers @MitchyTitchy , great to have that many in the bank!

@MitchyTitchy Welcome!! Good to have you!

Also those are great numbers! Well done!

I'm 3DP5T currently. The wait is painful and slow but I have a gut feeling it didn't work. Don't really have any symptoms whereas in my last transfer (which ended at 6 weeks), I'd been feeling all sorts of twinges from the day of transfer. It's so hard not to constantly compare 😫

MitchyTitchy · 14/02/2025 12:57

@BellaRosex Thank you :)

I've read about so many people who have felt nothing and been positive, so it's still early days and keeping my fingers crossed for you. When are you going to test? Sending all the good vibes!

Feliciacat · 14/02/2025 12:58

@MitchyTitchy welcome and huge congratulations on those fantastic numbers. My consultant said that you need about 3 embryos per child you want. So you could potentially have about 4 children with numbers like that!

@BellaRosex it sounds like you’re in the same situation as me. I’m on my second transfer and my first ended at six weeks. I’m sorry yours ended too. As you say, it makes it hard when you’ve had a successful transfer before as you compare symptoms now to symptoms then. However, some of my friends who’ve been pregnant (and had children) say that they had no symptoms in their first trimester.

It’s my DH’s birthday today and I’m being a huge wet blanket as I’m so exhausted. We went for breakfast a ten minute walk from our house and I could barely walk and now I’m having to have a lie down. I also fell asleep during birthday ‘relations’. Hopefully it’s a good sign but it could just be the progesterone!

BellaRosex · 14/02/2025 13:17

@mitchytitchy Thank you! I've got everything crossed this time! My OTD is 24 February but realistically I'll find it hard not to start testing this weekend. I got my last two positives (both ended in mc) at 9DPO and 4DP5T. That'll be tomorrow for me.... but I'm going to try and resist.

@Feliciacat strangely after posting that, I've been having verrrry mild on-off again period like cramps and very small twinges. It could very well be the progesterone but I'm just glad I'm feeling something as it gives me the hope to get through another day 😔. Fingers crossed your symptoms are a good sign! 🙌 What day are you on?

Feliciacat · 14/02/2025 15:51

@BellaRosex oh I’m glad you’re feeling something now. Implantation can happen anywhere between 1dp5dt and 5dp5dt so it’s not unusual for you to only start feeling things at 3dp5dt. Everything crossed for you!

I’m at 2dp5dt and I started feeling pulling and cramping at 1dp5dt. The embryo was already hatching though so it would have been more likely to implant sooner rather than later. I hope so much that I’ll be successful. We won’t have many more tries because I have very low ovarian reserve due to endometriosis and only one embryo in the freezer and one more ivf cycle in my package. I’ll be lucky to get one embryo per cycle so I’ve probably got two more transfers if you see what I mean. We were very lucky to get three embryos from my first cycle but I know that’s a fluke.

@Feliciacat It would make sense that you would start experiencing symptoms earlier if your embryo was hatching. I've got everything crossed for you! Were your embryos tested? Mine weren't but really wish I had done that at time.

Are you planning on waiting until your OTD or testing early? Xxx

Feliciacat · 14/02/2025 16:21

My embryos were not tested as there were relatively few (only three) so it was deemed that we may as well try all of them since getting more embryos would be hard plus they can self correct even if pgt-a testing says they’re ’no good’. I think I get what you mean though that maybe miscarriage could be avoided if they were tested.

My OTD is a week on Monday 24th. I might do a test on Wednesday 19th as that’s the day my period would have come if I weren’t pregnant. Plus it would be 7dp5dt which should be early enough! I don’t blame you for not waiting. When will you test? Xx

@Feliciacat ah that makes complete sense! Wasn't aware that embryos can self- correct so that's news to me!

My OTD is also 24th February although there's every chance I cave in and disappoint myself this weekend 😣. Hope you manage to have a nice relaxing weekend. Exhaustion hit me this afternoon, almost out of nowhere! X

paintfairy · 15/02/2025 07:51

My transfer is scheduled for Monday morning. So I'll be almost a week behind you OTD wise.

How are we all doing? @BellaRosex and @Feliciacat - any symptoms? Have you tested yet, or being good?

Good luck for tomorrow @paintfairy 🤞🤞🤞

I tested yesterday and can't work out if there was a slight shadow or it's just my eyes playing tricks on me. My husband couldn't see anything and he's normally pretty good. I missed my opportunity to test with FMU this morning so am trying to wait for a sufficient hold 😣My only symptoms are verrrrry mild period like cramps but I'm on a much higher dose of progesterone this time so it could very well be that!

How are you feeling @kenisanaccessory ?

Good luck @paintfairy !

Feliciacat · 16/02/2025 11:03

@KenIsAnAccessory I tested yesterday and today but got negatives. I’m only 4dp5dt though and it wasn’t a FRER test. My period is due on Wednesday so I’m getting the usual low mood and cramps and aches. How are you feeling? Have you tested?

@BellaRosex despite the fact that I tested too; it is really early to get a positive. In theory, implantation wouldn’t happen until up to 5dp5dt and then it’d take until 7dp5dt to get a positive. So hopefully you’ll get something on Tuesday.

@paintfairy everything crossed for you! In case you didn’t know; embryo transfers are really quick, easy and (I found) painless.

BellaRosex · 16/02/2025 11:33

So I've just retested and there is definitely a vvvfl but I'm not getting my hopes up. This has happened to me twice before and both have ended in a loss. Last time progression was slow/almost non-existent.

February/March FET
KenIsAnAccessory · 16/02/2025 11:51

@BellaRosex similar here. Got an absolute ghost of a line yesterday that I didn't even bother showing anyone as knew they'd say I was imagining it. Squinter this morning at 4am which is closer to 4.5dpt than 5, so quietly pleased but in no way celebrating yet.

I'm in double figures transfer wise and have had 6 losses- combination of chemicals/miscarriages up to 10 weeks so I never assume a second line means I'll actually be holding a baby in 9 months 😬🤞

Quality of picture upload is terrible, it's much clearer in real life and definitely pink, I'm not making it up, DH can see it 🤣
