Hi everyone.

I wanted to start a thread for anyone going through an IVF round in the next few weeks. I am currently on my third round of ICSI after a MMC at 9weeks on cycle 1 and a BFN on cycle 2. Third time lucky, I hope!

IVF can feel like a very lonely place sometimes so it's nice to have somewhere to vent and get advice 🙂

I'm starting oestrogen tomorrow for a FET. Hopefully 2ww will start around the first week of October.

Great to meet you. I’ve just had egg collection last week, first round. Extremely nervous for the call tomorrow to see if any embryos have made it 🤞🏻

@Minamina hopefully we will be 2ww wait buddies

@KLJ22 oh I hope you get some good news over the next few days but remember it does only take one, how many did they collect do you know? Will you be doing fresh transfer or a freeze all round?

They retrieved 24 eggs!! 15 fertilised but only 4 are where they need to be. It’s such an emotional rollercoaster isn’t it. Hope you’re all feeling ok x

@KLJ22 with my first round I did with my daughter we got 13 mature 12 fertilised and only one blasto which resulted with her .

This round we got 25 20 mature only 12 fertilised was icsi though and 6 blastocyst which was fab however after genetic testing we have 3 Frosties

Oh wow that’s super encouraging !! And so happy to hear you have a daughter. 3 is a great number this time too. We’re also doing icsi. How soon are you planning to have one implanted?

Had my baseline scan today . Will be starting stimulation inj next week. This is my second round of ivf .

Hi all!

I started my stim injections last night and my first scan is on Friday. The clinic hasn’t been able to give me any idea of when egg collection might be - could be day 11, could be day 14.

I am hoping so much that my lining will be ok for a fresh transfer, rather than have to wait another month for a frozen transfer. This is because I’m only eligible for two cycles on the NHS before I’m 40 and the birthday is rapidly approaching. Especially as December will be off the table due to Christmas closures.

Hi all. Started IVF end of last week. Nearly at the end of my first week taking Synarel nasal spray(shortage of Buserelin apparently). Very nervous.. scan end of next week. Did start IVF last year but the buserelin didn't seem to make a difference to my lining and then my cycle had to be cancelled anyway due to a health issue but hoping that the nasal spray works!!! I'm now so used to complications that I don't expect anything to go right unfortunately. Apologies for negative post. Best of luck ladies!!!

@KLJ22 I've just started my meds for FET I'm hoping it should be around 1st week of October 😊 so hopefully not too long now got a lining scan next Friday so will know more then

@APSR I hope this round goes well for you good luck with the injections

@Decaffe I hope your lining will be ok can they give any additional meds to take to help with that. I ended up with OHSS and fortunately we did frozen round anyways as I think we would of had to

@Quirked I heard about the buserlin shortage hopefully they can sort that out soon, hopefully the nasal spray will end up being the better option for yourself. I hope the scan goes ok and your lining is where it needs to be. This round for me seems a lot different to my first round so hopefully this one will work out well for you

I had a scan yesterday and so far, all is looking good. Prov EC next Friday or following Monday.
I'm on the low protocol of Bemfola and Cetrotide. Feeling ok so far just the usual bloat 😬

@KLJ22 My first round I had 6 collected, 5 fertilised and out of those, 1 made blast and that took so keep positive 😊

@Decaffe Its still very early days for them to let you know when EC may be. Have you done IVF before? I'm sure your lining will be fine; they will let you know tomorrow and can make any adjustments if needed 😊

Hi all, I have my 2nd cycle transfer on Tuesday next week, so nervous!

It's so encouraging to hear that it's worked for others though - like you said @Tonim86 it does only take one! 🙏

We had 24 eggs collected but after losing some through failed fertilisation and genetic testing, we're left with 2.

Hi 👋 we were due to start in August but AF never appeared so had to take provera and now finally started to bleed so scan booked for Monday not sure what to expect, after 3.5 years of waiting is this finally the start of something?

@Holly05235892 our round this time is quite similar to yours we collected 25, 20 mature 13 fertilised 6 blasts after genetics we have 3 Frosties now 🤞

@MrsMacttc welcome I hope you get to start soon do you know if you will do short or long protocol? Fresh or frozen wishing you good luck

@Tonim86 hey! Our letters say short protocol and because I am at risk for OHSS I think it will likely be a frozen transfer.

How are you doing?

@MrsMacttc they mentioned to me this time about short but we ended up doing long I was doing ok with follicles and they pushed me the last couple of days so they could get more I think it worked but I did get OHSS which weren't fun when it was the July 40Degree heatwave lol luckily I got checked out and was only mild/moderate

@Tonim86 ouch sounds like you haven't had an easy time of it so far! Where are you at now? Are you waiting to do a transfer? X

Hi all, I’m new on here, first round of IVF started this week so nice to read other stories of peoples journeys!
I’m on day 4 of Ovaleap injections feeling okay just a bit of a headache so far and waiting for scan on Friday before possible egg collection 3rd Oct 🙏
