Hi everyone.

I wanted to start a thread for anyone going through an IVF round in the next few weeks. I am currently on my third round of ICSI after a MMC at 9weeks on cycle 1 and a BFN on cycle 2. Third time lucky, I hope!

IVF can feel like a very lonely place sometimes so it's nice to have somewhere to vent and get advice 🙂

@Spink2022 huge congratulations 🎊 🥰

Spink2022 · 04/11/2022 21:10

Thank you everyone for all of your support!

Achaps · 05/11/2022 08:27

@Spink2022 Congratulations what a great result 🙌
We’ve actually had a great week now the first bit of stress is over and we know we’ve got until the new year for transfer. We’ve both opened up a lot more to everyone about IVF now we’ve got our Frosties and it’s amazing how many people actually struggle to conceive! I feel like I’ve been a bit of a guidance councillor with my “fountain” of knowledge 😂😂

bathbombaholic · 05/11/2022 15:39

@Achaps you're so right!

We are going for our next round in jan too with our first frozen so we can be cycle buddies again!! 🙏🏼 x

Hi Everyone hope your all keeping well sorry been a little quite having quite bad nausea atm. We went for our viability scan this morning and saw baby and heartbeat everything looks great and estimated due date 22nd June 🥰

countrypunk · 08/11/2022 11:51

@Tonim86 ❤️❤️❤️ That must have been so exciting and emotional. I hope your nausea calms down soon.

I have a scan tomorrow morning to check that the ovaleap is doing its thing on my ovaries. And I feel much more normal now, as the nurse said I would. In fact, better than normal! We've been joking that I should stay on the ovaleap full time 🙃 my only side effect with it is feeling knackered in the mornings.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Tonim86 · 08/11/2022 11:54

@countrypunk it was lovely to see and hear that everything is ok.

Glad to hear the ovaleap is going well I hope the rest of the journey goes smoothly for you 💗

bathbombaholic · 08/11/2022 12:57

@Tonim86 this is amazing news! So happy for you and your little summer baba! ❤️❤️

Spink2022 · 08/11/2022 14:54

@Tonim86 that’s brilliant! Must have been such a relief to have such great news on the scan.

im already so anxious for mine and I’ve got another 2 weeks to wait.

did you have any symptoms from week 4/5? When did your sickness start? I hope it clears up soon for you!

Tonim86 · 08/11/2022 14:57

@bathbombaholic thank you 🥰 hope your doing ok?

@Spink2022 my sickness hit me like a train exactly on 6 weeks, however I will say I have been far more sick this time around than I was with my daughter it's proving to be a very different pregnancy already so you may even avoid it totally.

Spink2022 · 08/11/2022 15:01

@countrypunk good luck for your scan!

@Tonim86 I’ve never been pregnant so I’ve got nothing to go on but im 5 weeks and I’m so gassy (tmi) which is making me nauseous, I’m soooooo bloated and gross, but also eating lots more than normal, my boobs are huge and heavy and painful and are covered in stretch marks and im really tired. Surely that can’t all be from the progesterone suppositories??

Tonim86 · 08/11/2022 15:13

@Spink2022 no I definitely think your symptoms are a good sign for sure it's such a long wait for the scan. I read if your likely to get morning sickness it usually starts around 6 weeks so maybe something to look out for over the next couple of days

Spink2022 · 08/11/2022 15:21

Thanks @Tonim86 whats the next steps for you now?

Tonim86 · 08/11/2022 15:38

@Spink2022 I dropped a letter into the GP and filled out a form for midwife referral I think wait for them to be in touch about booking in appointment. My ivf clinic journey is over for now and under midwife. Continue medication and pessaries and stop then at end of week 13 did have a shock today we had to pay for the meds which is totally fine I just didn't know as
I never with my daughter maybe that was a mistake on their behalf before. So left £82 lighter but worth every penny x

Spink2022 · 08/11/2022 15:49

@Tonim86 how does it feel to be discharged from the clinic?

no way! How are the meds not included in NHS?

Thanks all, I will update!

countrypunk · 09/11/2022 09:53

Scan was good! Follicles and womb lining developing well. I've got another scan on Friday and then hopefully egg collection on Monday. Not looking forward to that but at the same time can't wait for it to happen.

Spink2022 · 09/11/2022 12:58

@countrypunk that’s great news!!! You’re one step closer!

countrypunk · 10/11/2022 12:37

@Spink2022 Yes indeed! It was a relief to know all the drugs are working.

Do you have a 7 week scan coming up?

Spink2022 · 10/11/2022 12:59

@countrypunk in 12 days. Not that I’m counting 👀

countrypunk · 10/11/2022 14:51

😆❤️

Tonim86 · 25/11/2022 12:10
