IVF cycle Sept/Oct 2022

Hi everyone.

I wanted to start a thread for anyone going through an IVF round in the next few weeks. I am currently on my third round of ICSI after a MMC at 9weeks on cycle 1 and a BFN on cycle 2. Third time lucky, I hope!

IVF can feel like a very lonely place sometimes so it's nice to have somewhere to vent and get advice 🙂

Thanks @bathbombaholic :) ah I’ve got my final fyramadel tomorrow can’t wait 😅 such a relief now got to pray there’s some good eggs! Yes got Monday off work!
@Tonim86 thanks for the advice! Yes they’ve now changed my trigger injection to a more gentle one and i won’t be taking my final dose of stimulant. Fingers crossed for your transfer!

@RoseLlo omg poor you 41 is a lot no wonder your in pain not too much longer to go I hope you get some rest

Just been reading through everyone's updates, there's a lot happening! Hope everyone is feeling ok.

@Tonim86 I am also starting pessaries today, transfer Thursday so we are on the same timetable! I felt really positive and excited after the scan, now fluctuating between excitement and terror, so scared of getting a negative test again and this is our last embryo.

@Eggling I felt excited and positive yesterday let's just hope it's good news for both of us great to have a 2ww buddy you going to wait the whole time or will you test sooner?

@Tonim86 I've always waited 10 days before but thinking I might test earlier this time. I've bought 4 FRERs, thinking I might do the first on the Wednesday so after 6 days. We'll see, I might just chicken out! Great to have a 2ww buddy, it's such a hard time!

Sorry I haven't updated! It's all suddenly gone very quick - so we had our scan on Wednesday, they said that I responded really well and ready for collection early (was kinda anticipating this as they said that last time). So had egg collection yesterday, I was in a lot more pain than last time but only lasted the day ☺️

They got 12 eggs in total, 8 suitable for ICSI and 6 fertilised. I'm so pleased, we only got 2 last time so much more optimistic!

Hi all, I have my nurse appointment to plan treatment on Monday for short protocol. I have PCOS, high AMH and low BMI. I think they may lower my dose because of all of these. I expect to start stims end of next week/early the week after (I’m currently on pill day 44 as my doctor wanted to see how I respond to estrogen due to my thin lining).

@RoseLlo you poor thing! I hope the pain goes down asap!! What dosages have you been prescribed? I’ve been warned about the severe bloating I may experience, so am a little nervous about that. I had a laparoscopy in May and remember looking at my abdominal area and below and being freaked out about how swollen I was! 🙈

Hi everyone can I join? it's our first round. Only fertility issue is 2 blocked tubes!
I had 11 eggs retirved and 5 fertilised but only one made it to blast stage and was put in on Saturday morning. I felt fine after the process and went for a nice relaxing meal and catch up with family Saturday night. I have had some niggling pains in my sides and this afternoon my lower back is sore, feels all very pmsy and I'm not sure if they are good signs or not!
official test date is 10th and iam going to hold out as long as possible but iam impatient 🙈

@greentreeseverywhere I bet it’s so hard to stop yourself from wanting to test. Hope your embryo sticks and you get a BFP on the 10th!! Which protocol were you on? x

I’m feeling quite nervous about my collection tomorrow, fortunately it’s first thing so don’t have to wait around! Has anyone else had awful boob pain post trigger injection? I’ve been in agony today. The things our poor bodies have to go through hey 😩

@achaps Hope EC goes well tomorrow and you have time off to rest and recover. Did they give you a non hcg trigger?

@Spin101 I was on a short protocol. I stimed for 7 days total. .I found the egg retrieval OK and the transfer worse!

@Achaps good luck tomorrow I really hope it all goes smoothly for you and just take thr day noce and easy after. I was very tired! my trigger shot bruised me really bad

@RoseLloSorry to hear you have shingles! I hope you recover soon and am glad they will go ahead with EC!
it went well thank you. I won’t start menopur this week, but hopefully will end of next week. I don’t know dosages yet. I’m on the pill so need to time coming off it with being able to pick up my meds and them getting hepatitis and HIV bloods back.
