Hi ladies, I am due to transfer in August, likely early in the first week of, if there’s anyone else due to transfer around then, it would be great to hear from you!

Hi there! Same here. I'm waiting for my period to start meds (due one of these days) Smile Where are you in the cycle? And how are you? I'm finding these days so long - I just wanna start ha ha

IVFhadenough · 19/07/2021 18:02

Hey!

I am CD5 today! Had my baseline scan last Friday after the norethisterone and due another scan next Monday. Hopefully transferring (all being well) the week of 2nd August, I’ll be given exact time at my next scan.

Do you know your tentative dates yet?

OP posts:
Goodthoughtsonly · 19/07/2021 20:11

Ow sweet! That's great. I'm hoping to have the transfer that week too!! I'll just have a first scan on CD9 and then maybe another one with the transfer date after a few days. Hopefully period comes tomorrow or soon and it seems we'll probably be transfer buddies Smile Best of luck for Monday!! Have you found the medicines manageable?

IVFhadenough · 19/07/2021 20:41

Thanks @Goodthoughtsonly!
Seems we will be pretty close in dates, that’s good! Always nice to have someone to fight the TWW with!

I am struggling on the buserelin a little, I am just exhausted and bloated! Otherwise, I’m fine! Ha!

Which meds are you having with your FET?

Babydusttoall · 20/07/2021 02:09

Hi guys! Hope you don't mind me jumping on the thread. I'm currently going through a frozen embryo transfer cycle with my transfer mid August!
Good luck to you all and fingers crossed Smile
I had the prostrap injection on July the sixth and started my AF today so will begin taking progynova tablets. Next scan booked in for august the 5th
How are you guys feeling about it all xx

Goodthoughtsonly · 20/07/2021 11:10

Yes @IVFhadenough! It will be nice to keep updated through the 2WW and the process. I'm just having progynova on CD2 and then introducing the pessaries after the scan... I remember buserelin from the egg collection recovery - ouch! It's not fun!!!!

Hello @Babydusttoall - the more the merrier! Smile Yay for starting with AF and tablets! I'm eagerly waiting for it. The more I want it to come, the more it delays, ha ha ha. I'm very impatient which doesn't help! Also I'm in the process of moving country so it's all extra stressy Grin

Where are yous based? I'm in the UK (moving to Ireland now - will have to come back for scans etc.)

IVFhadenough · 21/07/2021 17:36

@Babydusttoall hey and welcome!

How exciting, you are not far away at all now! Is this going to be your first transfer?

I am feeling okay some days, then really concerned on others due to the last transfer ending in MC. I really don't want the same thing to happen again, so it is almost making me want to just run for the hills as it's safer that way!

How about you?

OP posts:
IVFhadenough · 21/07/2021 17:38

@Goodthoughtsonly

The buserelin is actually not that bad! I am so accustomed to it now! I had it for trigger for my IVF round, then used it for my first FET. As that sadly ended in MC, I started the work up for my second FET at the start of July, it was abandoned as my lining went awry, and I am now back to it again. So I have had so many now I think I am just used to them!

When are you likely to be transferring?

Good luck with the move!

OP posts:
Goodthoughtsonly · 23/07/2021 17:53

@IVFhadenough Wow! What a long journey. I really hope it's the lucky time for you.

When I can transfer all depends on when AF comes... I'm still waiting Confused it's a bunch late now but I think it's the meds. And maybe also the stress of moving - tonight is the night! If it comes before the next week transfer could be the first week of August - otherwise later!

IVFhadenough · 25/07/2021 13:15

@Goodthoughtsonly it's okay - needs must! I am okay, albeit mildly impatient, whilst on the journey, but more than happy for it to end now! So hopefully, this round is the one that means I don't have to continue on any more! Thank you!

Fingers crossed AF comes soon! When was it due? I am due to transfer the first week of August too! So we may be transferring around the same time still!

OP posts:
Goodthoughtsonly · 26/07/2021 09:00

@IVFhadenough I know what you mean!! I'm so impatient too to have the transfer after all these months of tests, scans, meds... Argh. Hope the scan will go well for you today Star

AF was due the 20th July... What a wait!! I don't even have any pms symptom now and am worried that I just skipped one month? Argh Argh

CitylifeTTC · 26/07/2021 12:52

Hello, is anyone at crgh or about to start their cycle in August elsewhere? I am due to start mid August but will be doing a FET transfer so it seems far away. I would love to hear from you!

Alexm06 · 26/07/2021 14:51

Hey all!
I'm doing an FET this cycle filling a failed cycle and a missed miscarriage the cycle before.
I'm currently on progynova and due to start cyclogest Wednesday for transfer on Monday! It was meant to be this week but my lining wasn't think enough on Friday but had another scan today and all good to go!
My last 2 cycles were fresh cycles but I feel a lot more relaxed this time round, maybe because I'm not injecting I'm not sure but it's a lot nicer haha.

Hope you all are getting on well!

Goodthoughtsonly · 28/07/2021 12:08

Hello everybody! @CitylifeTTC what is crgh? I'm in Liverpool Smile time moves so slow waiting for FET, I know how you feel! @Alexm06 wow that's so soon!! Hope all goes well for you. Yeah not injecting is such a relief for me too. I'm going to start progynova tomorrow! Finally on CD1. Probably transferring the second week of August

IVFhadenough · 29/07/2021 19:06

Hey @Alexm06 @CitylifeTTC

I am also transferring Monday too! How exciting. I can’t wait now!

Nice to see you ladies here, seems the August FET’s are on the quieter side, as not many of us here.

@Goodthoughtsonly thank you! Scan went fine thanks, all set and good to go with the transfer. Which is great news… even better was being told to stop the buserelin, thank god I don’t have to inject any longer!

Oh no! I’m sorry you had to wait so long, I saw that you finally had AF, so that’s good! The countdown can begin now!! 🎉

OP posts:
IVFhadenough · 29/07/2021 19:06

@Alexm06 I am also incredibly sorry to hear of your loss. I, too, had a loss on my last transfer. I’m hoping that this is going to be our lucky round! 🤞🏼

OP posts:
Dalooah · 29/07/2021 19:27

I'm going to jump on here too.. preparing for FET just waiting for my period. We got very lucky and got in on a cancelled appointment very last minute, 7 weeks before our official scheduled appointment so feeling hopeful!

Alexm06 · 29/07/2021 19:53

@IVFhadenough oh wow!! Transfer buddies! I'm feeling surprisingly calm so far. Can't say how I will feel after the transfer haha.
Oh I'm so sorry for your loss it really is heartbreaking.

I know there is a July/august thread which I am on which has a few people on as well maybe that's where they all are haha.

@Goodthoughtsonly god yeah im so much better without injections. Have you had any side effects from the progynova? I've seen a lot of people do but I didn't I also ovulated which your apparently not meant to do while on it but my clinic aren't worried

Goodthoughtsonly · 30/07/2021 09:02

@IVFhadenough fantastic, Monday is so soon!! Will be thinking of you and @Alexm06.

@Dalooah welcome aboard, how cool you got an earlier appointment! Happy for you - I find the waiting parts of ivf the hardest thing maybe in the process.

I'm super hopeful for all of you ladies.

@Alexm06 yeah I started the progynova yesterday and it was strange! Found myself during the day a good few times with anxiety, heart palpitations, hyperventilation, and very dizzy, had to lay down twice, was so freaked out until I remembered I was taking new medication and it was probably that ha ha ha. I'm hoping I get used to it soon!!

Alexm06 · 02/08/2021 10:24

@IVFhadenough Good luck today. Hope all goes well!!!

Mudra85 · 02/08/2021 16:39

Hi @CitylifeTTC,

I'm at CRGH and had my frozen embryo transfer with them last week. Happy to help with any questions that you may have if I can.

IVFhadenough · 02/08/2021 21:12

@Alexm06 been thinking of you! Hope your transfer went well?

Hi to all of the new ladies, it’s been a mental few days (and today after transfer). Just been so busy, but it’s been great. Means that I have been distracted and the time has flown. I’m off these next two weeks, having a small get away to pass the next few days too, which I am in desperate need of!

How is everyone? I hope you’re all doing okay! 🥰

OP posts:
CitylifeTTC · 02/08/2021 21:15

@Mudra85 thank you very much I appreciate this. Have you had an okay experience so far with Crgh? Wishing you all the very best!

Alexm06 · 02/08/2021 21:20

@IVFhadenough yeah all went well apart from my bladder was soo full! I was doing a little dance before I went in there. My first transfer I was quite full, my second one I wasn't full enough so I really made sure I was this time haha. They put the scanner on me and both were like woahh so yeah I went a bit over the top with the water so yeah was a bit more uncomfortable then the other 2 were but it's done now. Unfortunately we lost one in defrost so they us to defrost another one which was fine.
How did it go for you?

Mudra85 · 03/08/2021 10:07

Hi @CitylifeTTC I've had a very good experience with CRGH so far. Although I'm currently NHS funded. If I were paying then I might be more critical. It is a very busy clinic, but there are some really lovely and passionate nurses, doctors, embryologists, other medical and non-medical staff there. Obviously not everyone you meet will be like that, but some staff have really stood out to me. They also have very good success rates. You can check out their success rates on the HFEA website here: www.hfea.gov.uk/choose-a-clinic/clinic-search/results/44/statistics/ if you're interested.

All the best to you too! Do you know your FET protocol yet?
