Hi ladies, I am due to transfer in August, likely early in the first week of, if there’s anyone else due to transfer around then, it would be great to hear from you!

OP posts:
Babydusttoall · 15/08/2021 01:04

I am going crazy in my 2ww 😢 just need it to be next Saturday already 😢

Rachae · 15/08/2021 11:47

@babydusttoall hey, aww its tough isn't it! Are you actually waiting a full 14 days post transfer? Appreciate it differs clinic to clinic, but mine only says to wait 9 days.. As its further on in the process than conceiving naturally as we bypass the whole egg meets sperm type time line. Online guidance even says you might see something 5 days post transfer with a first response test if its implanted xx

Babydusttoall · 15/08/2021 11:55

Hey, ugh it's so difficult this waiting game. Honestly I am going insane.
Yeah sorry my clinic advised 9 days too. My transfer was on Thursday and I have to go back to the clinic next Saturday for a blood test. I'll probably end up testing early though I have no patience.
I'm trying to carry on with life but keep second guessing everything I'm doing like oh I hope that's not impacted the implantation. I went grocery shopping the other day and was carrying heavyish bags and that's stresses me out too 😢
Have u had your transfer too? How are you feeling x

Babydusttoall · 15/08/2021 11:55

@Rachae forgot to tag you! X

Rachae · 15/08/2021 12:49

@babydusttoall aww I understand! No amount of heavy shopping bags will affect it though ;-) Not sure how many times you've been through this.. It's my third time and my best advice is have some stuff planned to keep busy every day, and if poss arrange a nice thing to do every few days.

I'm having a frozen transfer this time, and I had my first scan on Friday. I've just been taking prognova tablets. They said my lining (day 9) was 5 point something and they wanted thicker, so my transfer is delayed and getting scanned this Friday. Its the first time my lining hasn't been thick enough but its also my first frozen transfer. Xx

Babydusttoall · 15/08/2021 14:06

@Rachae thanks for the reassurance lovely, it's honestly made me feel a little bit better. I was actually extremely lucky enough to have my DD from my first fresh cycle in 2019. I had two embryos frozen, and this is me now using one of them.

Aww fingers crossed your all set to go on friday! It can be annoying when there's delays but as long as it's successful you don't mind. I'm on progynova as well and currently taking the utrogestan progesterone pessaries which I hate with a passion! 😩

juliet1990 · 15/08/2021 19:46

Hi, first time posting and looking for advice. I had a 5 day blast transferred on 5 August. Stupidly tested at home on a few different tests and all negative. Had bloods on 14. HCG was 11 so in the inconclusive and they seemed a bit down on it all. Decided to home test again today and got a very very faint positive.
Has anyone ever had that? It’s seems a bit of a long time since transfer to get my first BFP. I’m trying to remain calm but it’s so hard!!

Babydusttoall · 15/08/2021 23:21

@juliet1990 hey, I'm so sorry I haven't got any experience with this so I'm not much help :( might be a good idea to call the clinic tomorrow morning? Fingers crossed for you x

mouse1234567 · 16/08/2021 08:30

Hi all-wishing you all the best of luck at the stages you are at with your cycles. I’m so sorry to those that have had bad news.

I am about to have a frozen transfer tomo-such a long build up with downreg and can’t quite believe it now here tomo!

@juliet1990 sorry to hear you are not sure about the result of your transfer. It’s a worrying time. Can you clinic do a repeat blood?

I know my clinic makes you test 14 days post transfer and I presume yours did the blood test at 9 days after? All the best -it’s very tough-the waiting and not knowing.

juliet1990 · 16/08/2021 08:49

Bloods being repeated on the 20th. It’s the wait that’s a killer.
Another feint positive first thing this morning but just a little bit lighter.
I’m 11 dpt so surely it should be darker
I’m guessing it’s chemical and as I’m on progynova and progesterone I just won’t bleed till I stop the meds.
I’m normally sane and rationale but this process sucks !

Babydusttoall · 16/08/2021 10:04

@mouse1234567 hope the transfer goes well today for you! Exciting times. I always find the embryo transfer so emotional.

@juliet1990 I know what u mean, this waiting period and not knowing what's happening is the worst. So nerve racking and worrying :( hang in there c
Xx

maddymama2 · 16/08/2021 11:18

Hi everyone - first time poster. We did our first FET 3 days ago. When we went in we were told that 50% of the embryo didn't survive the thawing but that it had started regenerating so they went ahead with the transfer. In our heads we have resigned ourselves to the fact that it probably won't work. I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. I can barely find anything online about this...

Thank you so much :)

Babydusttoall · 16/08/2021 22:55

Hi @maddymama2 welcome to the thread! I'm so sorry I am going to be zero in regards to your question! I can't say I have ever heard of this before though. Where are you based? Surely it must be viable otherwise they wouldn't have gone ahead with it though. Fingers crossed

Goodthoughtsonly · 19/08/2021 09:15

Hello everyone, sorry I've disappeared from the thread for a while - went back and forth between countries for scans and moving, but finally my FET happened yesterday!

@IVFhadenough and @Alexm06 I'm so so sorry it didn't work. Hope you can try again.

Good luck to all other ladies! @Babydusttoall how are you hanging in there in the two week wait?

Did you get a date @Rachae?

@juliet1990 Argh that's so stressful. I'd be going insane too. Tomorrow you'll know more though! Almost there!!

@maddymama2 and @mouse1234567 good to have someone in the two week wait at around the same time!! How are you all doing?

I'd never heard of the 50% survival and regeneration but I'd agree that they wouldn't put it back if it wasn't viable and if the regeneration didn't mean that it must be 'a good one'! But I totally get the worry, I think it's normal.

I'm finding every tiny reason to worry post transfer... I hope it gets less insane! I didn't sleep at all last night ha ha. Can't wait to be able to test (and my clinic recommends 14 dpt for urine test... No way I'll make it to that ha ha ha).

Babydusttoall · 19/08/2021 16:18

@Goodthoughtsonly aw yay! How did the transfer go and how are you feeling? It's such a nerve wracking wait. I've been a mess all week trying to symptom spot. I go for my blood test on Saturday so not long to go now but so nervous.
Don't worry it's totally normal to worry about everything. I hung up clothes on the washing line the other day and convinced myself I wrecked my chances.

Rachae · 19/08/2021 18:26

Hey @goodthoughtsonly so glad your transfer went well! Time to keep that mind busy 😊 All my fingers crossed for you. I have a scan tomorrow to check the lining and it it's ok, my transfer will be on Wednesday xx

juliet1990 · 19/08/2021 21:18

Baby dust to you all. Tomorrow is d day - need to be at the clinic for 8.30 but at least I get results same day. I don’t think I’ll sleep tonight!!!
I’ve waited years to be at this point so one more night can’t be that bad!!!
I’ll let you know how I get on x

Babydusttoall · 20/08/2021 00:14

@juliet1990 got everything crossed for you xxx

Rachae · 20/08/2021 07:48

Good luck @juliet1990 xxx

Goodthoughtsonly · 20/08/2021 08:41

@juliet1990 good luck!!!!! All fingers crossed for you.

And I'll be thinking of you tomorrow @Babydusttoall everything crossed for you too. How are you feeling?

I'm feeling pretty good! These days are the slowest possible imaginable Grin it's like, everyday lasts three days. I'm trying to keep busy and enjoy these days, but still, there's one thought always in the background, ha ha (Pleeeease attach and stick). I'll go back to work today though even if I work from home so that should keep me even busier!

Good luck @Rachae with the scan! Hopefully it's the last one!!

Rachae · 20/08/2021 09:00

Thanks @goodthoughtsonly sounds like a good call on a bit of light home working to keep busy!
I just had my scan and they said the transfer can go ahead, hurrah! Interested in your thoughts on the lining... 7.9mm and something called a triple echo. In my head, that lining still sounds thin.. My clinic said anything above 7mm for FET is desirable tho? Xx

Babydusttoall · 20/08/2021 09:17

@Rachae yayyy so pleased for you!! 7.9mm sounds good. I was told the same that as long as the lining is above 7mm they are happy to proceed with the transfer! How you feeling about it all? Excited for you!

@Goodthoughtsonly thank you so much! I'm sooo nervous about tomorrow but glad it's tomorrow! Been a loooooong week. I've hardly slept all week panicking and worrying and thinking "what if" and "maybe I shouldn't have done that today" etc lol. I will keep u posted tomorrow with how it goes :)

When is ur official rest day? You have the right idea though, keeping busy is the best thing to do! Xx

lucymills1234 · 20/08/2021 09:25

Hi @Rachae my lining was 7.9mm at my scan, too! I was worried because on my previous transfers my lining was 13mm+. But, my clinic said 7.9mm was fine and the lining had the trilaminar appearance they look for. I completely understand where you're coming from in wanting it to be thicker, but if it's any reassurance my clinic was content with that exact same measurement...

Rachae · 20/08/2021 09:32

Thanks @babydusttoall ooo fingers crossed for tomorrow!!
Hey @Lucymills1234 thanks, that's reassuring to hear 😊 xx

Babydusttoall · 20/08/2021 10:39

@Rachae thank you lovely!

@juliet1990 hope all goes well today x
